Well, I have to admit, as a neurotic dyslexic agnostic, I lay awake at night wondering if there is a dog.

A Psychiatrist's receptionist alerted the Doctor: "a man is out here who says he is invisible." "Tell him I can't see him right now," said the Doctor. If a Parisian falls off a bridge, does he go in Seine? A neurotic dyslexic agnostic laid awake all night wondering if there is a dog. or should that be "lay", raf? ok raf, so this should be lay, past tense of lie; not laid, past tense of lay

Well, self employed pay about 14%, but with twi I guess you would have paid about 7% and they would have had to pay 7%. So they were just getting themselves out of paying their half, using some bs (coersion?) to talk you out of it. Add that to the employee class action suit. Of course if twi had paid you the 7% they didn't have to pay in and encouraged you to save the other 7% and invest, you would have been better off than SS I'd think. I'm really amazed the government allowed them not to pay ... I thought only government workers got away with that, and they have their own pension funds. Sadly by the time I reach 65 the gov' may move retirement age up to 75 and cut benefits. Fortunately a guy was in our twig in about 1980 and got some twiggies into some mutual funds he sold. I put in at least my IRA every year, so, I came out much better than if he hadn't come to twig to sell his funds... maybe I did get something out of twig after all LOL Thank gawd I wasn't a staffer.

I heard one of them made a blind man lame. Does that count? (or was that the pope?)

If you google "the problem of evil" there is a bunch of stuff on this argument. Basically "if god is all good, why does he allow evil to exist?" there are many long arguments for both sides.

You can legally waive having SS withheld? I always worked for myself, but never heard of that option. (I put in the whole 14%) Of course many probably kept their window cleaning/contracting money off the books ...Was it Howard or what's his name Owens that said the retirement plan was to work till you die?

No winery planned, too many headaches, and while I have made wine, I haven't put much effort into making GOOD wine. I like those label ideas though. :) I would consider a microwinery one day, but more likely I'd just sell the juice.Cabbage in heaven ... ha .. reminds of that song .. will there be Mogan David in heaven ... I may sell my 10 acre spot with grapes and a good deer watching/hunting spot ... then move over to the old homeplace. I'll plant more grapes though ... weeeeeeeeee

jews are also in disagreement on this... geer would prefer people be willing to sacrifice their kids I spose (a greater commitment level than vp's saying god wouldn't ask that, VP just asked for daughters as concubines) ... I feel bad for the ram ... all it did was get caught in some thickets for crying out loud ...

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow The last two words of the movie, after the heroine takes her last shot on the hero, instead of the incredible scene for her news story. She'd been waiting to use the last pic thru a series of incredible scenes. LOL

Good one dooj ... I was going for strikes with the repeating strike ... your turn again ...I would really like to see "Thumper Strikes Back" ... kinda a follow up on the killer rabbit from Monty Python was it?
-
Well, that is why I like to see other people's guesses about the clues ... no way I would have thought of sky cap ... I'd still have to google it to know what it is. And most actors pics don't bring up a name for me. I think we already went thru this discussion before. Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow

I'm thinkin' accounts receivable is just what they are owed ... but I'm not really a finance guy Or to not pay for so much for staff for so long. $50 mil ... Holy Sacred Cow that laid the golden egg! I would think the ex staff would have a shot at collecting some of that. I hope twi is in court for a long time paying various people for various abuses. Of course if people just sue them one at a time it would take forever. Considering the standards used for removing employees, it seems there could be some class actions, but I don't know. Mostly it seems outrageous that there is that much money in the control of a few that are so far removed from those that brought it in. You'd think a charity would have to use it's donated money for ... ... like charitable stuff!

All those things I "held in abeyance" surfaced as obvious discrepencies in the Bible, after I left the twi cloud. Of course figures of speech can explain it all I guess, but soon it all becomes figurative. There is much to be gained from basic Christianity, but I think of my hard core very Baptist uncle when I think of the superior attitude that is one of the less admirable qualities of some Christians. The line of some in this discussion seems so condescending toward any that no longer accept the traditional dogma. Some pity those that are still in the twi box, but also pity those that didn't stay in the Bible box they remained in. Others seem to want to subtly undershepherd the agnostic back into the fold, because they understand it is only the hurt of twi that has led them astray. I'm in favor of outside the box thinking. That kind of thinking can also contain what is in the box (or boxes) Just my four cents (trying to one up My3Cents) .

I guess that means anyone that has had their boat rocked didn't have a real love for God. Isn't the Bible full of examples of God's people that had their boat rocked? And music is great in helping one "keep the faith", but as you said, it can do that for a secular relationship as well. If you have a real love of God, do you need music to keep the love alive? Your assertions seem contradictory to me.

OK, ten .. that makes sense, I was thinking tan ... well, I was thinking nipple actually LOL Yeah dooj, you can do stuff like turf instead of nipple, I mean instead of boob ... darn .. instead of lawn. That hides it a little. But did you really get sky cap without looking at boobs ... err, I mean without checking out nipples ... shoot ... without checking properties?

LOL ... this must be rebellion ... sky cap can only go with one movie I know of ... it was just on showtime (free preview). But it would have been hard for me to figure sky cap from that, I would have guessed conductor ... and I still don't see quite how Bo fits in, unless it's her skin color. The cartoon is Tom Terrific and his mighty wonder dog Manfred...I'd forgotten what they looked like but remembered Tom's cool hat. Linda, saving the pic under a different name on my computer only allows me to put the pictures up as thumbnails here, as far as I know. I think you have to put them on a web site to link directly to them here so they show full size. My isp doesn't even give me web space at the moment ... there are probbly some free ones out there, but it is sort of a hassle to go through all that. So if we are going to use properties, then the puzzle is in making the words sound less like the movie. Lawn Gould Boy is The Long Goodbye. The title is hidden more by the words sounding less like the movie and the movie being more obscure. That can be fun too, but I don't see the point in bothering with the pictures. (Although if you don't use properties it add a level of complexity I guess) Of course George still got it, presumably without using properties, so it is probably good as a handicap for George and Raf to have to figure out the pics AND still have it be difficult.
-
when I look up the pictures, I try to find one that is not too obvious ... that maybe has a few possibilities, but if you look at the properties you usually see the exact word I'm talking about. It's no longer movie pictionary, it is just putting the words in order. It is possible to look up an alternate word for the picutre you want, but that is harder to find usually, plus still gives the essence of what word you are talkiing about. Or you could copy the pic and rename it, but that takes more effort. So usually looking at properties will tell you almost exactly what the movie is. What is the point of finding just the right picture if the "properties" is going to be used to just give it away? I don't mind seeing other people's thought process if it goes on a little while and no one is getting it, but to just blurt out the properties just gives it away. Of course George is good at obscuring them a little better, so even with the words it is a little challenging sometimes, but still ... I search movies if I have no clue, but won't usually answer then ... unless it has been a day or so.

Actually ... this is not my birthday ... seems like a good date to put up if you don't want to give your birthday ... Happy birthday to any genuine april fool's day birthdays ... George, I don't look a day over 90, come one ...
