  1. lol, great pic ... if the dawgs represent greasespotters ... they are showing amazing self restraint ... and the cat is really just taunting them ... What happened when someone yelled "sick em" ?
  2. I think of those home shows where they beat up new wood to make it look fatigued. Or the stone washed faded jeans ... weathered barn siding ... it's the rocks in the brook that make it sing ... I'm not damaged ... I'm weathered and tempered ....
  3. I remember Chris at safe driver class, practicing bat turns with the rented cars. (or Joe Mannix turns ... like you shift into reverse or something) Anyway, about those bodies ... I guess that is figurative, but I've heard other subtle statements of people killing for VP. I had never heard of anything like that, only of a bunch of guys acting the part of secret service. They probably had weapons stashed, and I remember VP saying how good Chris was with a knife ... it all seemed goofy to me. Was anyone ever reportedly killed?Oh, and VP told a story of Geer getting rev that a car was going to lose a tire or something, so he swerved the bus across 3 lanes to block traffic, then the tire came off ... Chris saved the day ... (or was that the story Chris told after he had fallen asleep at the wheel?) LOL
  4. is he a knight? is that guy ving? just curious ...
  5. I'm not sure how I'm communicating ... I'm glad sogwap shared her story ... I hope she continues in the discussions ... I don't agree everyone was as willing .. at least with VP. But for craig as ministry leader and married to do this is despicable. (I'm pretty sure he was married then) And again, it frames the whole twi leadership mentality ... concern for the Word had taken a back seat.I'm not denying the twi experience, I remember some good folks and good stuff ... which often got imposed on by lecherous ministry leaders. But misuse of funds, not giving to the needy, etc. all tie in with this predatory attitude. I'm not trying to impose some prudish standard on everyone (having partied thru many a Mardi Gras), but the deceitfulness of leaders is a large part of what went wrong with twi. They weren't sposed to be hedonists over the world, they coulda joined that church LOL. I don't know ... this seems so obvious to me ... I don't care who anyone had sex with there, except that it became engrained practice with these "spiritual elites" that we were sending money to as ministers of good. If I'd only known in the inner sanctum was a bed, not an altar. But then I did learn jet style packing ...
  6. OK, sorry ... I guess I lost track of where I read that.I think this is a sensitive subject ... that is the main reason for the intensity. I'm not sure what rabble rowsers you're referring to ... maybe me! To me though the issue of adultry/rape by leadership carries over into the heart of twi. In a sense I was "married" to the ministry, and I found them cheating on me. Any defense of the cheaters is revolting. The twi leader mentality was pervasive and damaging on many levels ... the clergy having sex with their "flock" is just one of the more obvious physical ramifications that can be more easily pointed out. Many prefer to minimalize that. I prefer to emphasize it.
  7. The issue doesn't seem to be about the willing partners but about the accusation that those that claimed rape were just bitter. That is the big issue, but to me the secondary and also important point is that adultry was also "wrong", especially for these "It Is Written" heavyweights. That is the level that is not probably legally wrong, but oh so wrong to those thinking twi had some standards. That singles would hook up is no surprise (though still not biblically allowed I guess), but what led these mostly very young idealistic (some) women into relationships with married older "ministers" would probably get them fired in today's corporate world. I would think twi should have had higher standards than ExxonMobile. The motives for any apologies for craig's adultrous behavior might raise an eyebrow, and raise some ire when calling all those claiming some level of rape... just bitter or confused. I'm certainly willing to listen, and am interested in the psychological side if Freud or anyone offers that. Most of us were "victims" of lies and deceit on some level. That's why I'll never buy another Ford ... :)
  8. I've seen lotsa chickens .. but I'm not sure what happens when one appears wounded. Do the other chickens pick on them I guess? Or do they all run away in fear of a predator? At what point (if ever) a woman (let's say Corps or staff) decided it was OK or even cool to have sex with twi leaders seems a big issue here, even to some Corps men (that weren't having sex at all maybe  ) It seems very pertinent to the cult aspect of twi. My view is that many that came into the corps/staff fairly pure in the Word, left rather jaundiced and maybe involved in the adultry games. For some maybe that was their choice ... but the "offensive" part to me is that "It Is Written" seemed to be replaced with ... Party On ... and non partiers were labelled party poopers ... and not given choice assignments maybe (were the partiers sent to the big cities to party together?) To say that happened as a matter of choice is partly true maybe for some ... but people that were looking for a place to party didn't go in the corps. Certainly everyone is responsible for their own actions, but basically we were sold a bill of goods that was almost the opposite of what was advertised. Perhaps we didn't get any written guarentees, but then again GSC is not a court of law. I guess the stones were thrown at Freud and sogwap? ... certainly a level headed discussion is best. Still, it seems the point sogwap raised about ... here... I'll quote because this seems central to the whole issue ... I'm not at all saying what he did was right. But I also don't put the blame on the sex totally with him. I believe there were willing partners as I was. The people that call rape are mad because of how it turned out....scorned women. Thought they would get more or the husband found out, whatever. I slept with Craig for 4 years. He even came to my house the day after I was married on his motorcycle. I sent him away. BUT for the 4 years I slept with him, I always thought "I was the only one". Then found out there were others. BUT....I slept with him because I thought I was important, special. Point is, you do what you do because you want to...and you usually think it advances you or makes you special in a "God" atmosphere. Until some are scorned and show their tallens. I feel sorry for Craig.... the bold emphasis is mine. When she spoke for those women that say they were raped and said they were "mad because of how it turned out" ... I think some stone throwing should be expected. I stayed at sogwap's house at roa a few years with her hubby and nanci, and I liked the sogwap I remember, so have no animosity ... I would doubt she really meant that quite that way .. but to me that gets to the heart of the whole twi / cult / adultry/rape issue. I guess that also led to the "get over it" thing. We are ultimately responsible, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't label those that deceived / defrauded / maybe raped in any higher regard. When such things go to court the "victims" get over it partly by putting the offender in jail. Unfortunately the victim mentality sometimes protects the offender, making abused women that protect their abuser perhaps the saddest cases. I saw sogwap was back in chat, so hope she hangs around. Since I'm not one of the "partiers" nor one of the sex victims (nor a predator) and would tend to be on sogwap's side ... I thought I'd throw in my perspective. A courtroom is a tougher standard than GSC opinion standard, and lcm was guilty there, right? I certainly don't feel sorry for craig.
  9. Yes George, and thanks for the explanation ... It's just too easy if everything is perfect. But if you say "ghost ewe horse sing tin" fast it is pretty darn close. If I made it "wash sing ton" ... how many movies are there with washington at the end? Mixer blacksmith was enough to make it too easy, though I thought there were options other than mixer, as dooj listed. Since you and George and Tom got it ... I guess it was too easy. I should have used porsche maybe lol I guess there are ways to be more clever, but that is as clever as I get. And btw raf, the last couple times you answered you didn't put up a puzzle as I recall. It does take a little effort, so I guess that is why you and Tom don't like to bother, but prefer to show that you know without answering. There is a certain reward in the game of being the first to get it, but here often a couple people get it first, then want someone to come along and do the chore of the next puzzle. Then new players come along but they get harassed for not having perfect enough clues, even though people get the answer ... I need that explained to me ... LOL I miss topper ... and what happened to Mary Poppins? I don't get the nagging, especially when you answer and don't even put up a puzzle. Also, it might make a difference to know that many people say Washington like worshington ... midwesterners mostly I guess. So some proper speaking englander types might be more cornfused by that ... I say Wash sometimes (with the "ah" sound) I guess ... unless talking to local folks ... so you have dialects to deal with too, which just makes the game more interesting ...
  10. there is a horse btween the sheep and the kids
  11. well, it looks like maybe a breakdown of the periodic table grouped by something .. like valences? but the green line is like the man made stuff? Californium type stuff ... OK, I had to google ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Periodic_Table has an explanation, the one in my pic is simplified it seems ...
  12. so George, do those little colored rectangles in the Sn pic mean anything to a chemist? Like some secret chimistry code?
  13. it's the sorta fuzzy logic that somehow yields an answer that makes digi's gay clues fun. (totally gay tho lol ... trying to sound like cartman ) OK, I'll see what I can conjur up ...
  14. I don't understand how people get these answers when the clues are so totally bogus and reprobate. These clues should not be allowed to come to twig any more. Have these clues been abundantly sharing? How long are they going to be allowed to come to twig without signing up for PFAL? The shawshank redemption btw, these clues are totally gay and I demand they straighten up ...
  15. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_casualties according to that, there were nine times as many allied civilian deaths as axis deaths. Germany seemed to believe in a terrorist sort of war ... wiping out everyone ... like Poland especially. The buzz bombs sent to London were mostly terror weapons I think. Perhaps Dresden was partly an answer to that ... I don't know. But ... 9 times as many civilians were killed by axis forces, just to keep the "both sides were run by madmen" comment in perspective. And it was the German population that supported the German war machine's atrocities ... not quite as innocent as the Londoners.
  16. That is so much more entertaining than those silly math games :)
  17. they should, but maybe you are wanting to live in the year 2027, maybe that is the 3rd heaven and earth ... unfortunately the current one is much dirtier ... of course the "it is written" idea is good ... but it has its limitations as well ... the US constitution is pretty good ... what is that thing about we have the something written in our heart? Rules can be changed but you have to write something down and discuss it ... I was thinking aramaic was the lower class language ... greek more the legal language ... I guess mark says different areas were ... different. those are my "deep thoughts" the breathalyzer says I should quit posting now :)
  18. holo cost lol there is certainly something to using the holocaust for leverage politically, which leads to counter silly claims that it never happened, and so forth .... it was only 5 people, not 5.75 million, all the pics were staged ... blah blah anyway ... 31 million civilians killed besides the 5.75 million jews ... holy crap the axis suffered relatively few ... the nature of their war was to eradicate impurities, so civilians were targeted I think ... U.S. WW2 vets don't even like to talk about it ... yet the US came out relatively unscathed ... some countries lost 50 times as many people as we did, percentage wise. Thinking how a little thing like twi warped our minds, think how a thing like that warped theirs. Unless we we there and directly saw the carnage ... I don't think any of us really have a clue ... God Bless America ...
  19. I thought it was a law that Okie's had to have a storm cellar ... I'm pretty sure it is in the bible too ... there was a mighty wind, but God was not in the mighty wind .. (and neither was the Okie, cuz he was in his storm cellar) ... then there was a still small voice ... saying "holy sheet, glad we didn't try to ride that out above ground ..." my hebrew has gotten a little weak, and the texts I have are old and crumbled, but that is a pretty close translation ... btw ... a couple years ago I saw one of those cool anvil shaped clouds a few miles north of me ... really awesome ... a year or so later I visited a couple my uncle knew (he introduced them to each other) ... they saw that tornado approaching and got in their basement ... we were visiting them in their new home ... the old one was leveled ...
  20. handicap andy capp i wonder if that is just coincidence lol experiment hand captor
  21. I thought twi used to teach the original NT was estrangelo aramaic.
  22. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_casualties that shows deaths by country ... amazing that around 62 million died in WW2 besides the holocaust deaths, there were another 31 million civilian deaths
  23. I just want to say that Eve has a Popeye like arm in that painting ... her forearm looks as big as her head
