Well I'm not so sure ... I'm not so enamored with the hippie, tie die dope Jesus aspect ... though from what I hear those guys were certainly more sincere than VP. Maybe the Jesus part was good, but wasn't there a "bigger" ministry after that for a few years. I was in in '75, it seems then till '80 was the peak maybe number wise, before the greed and sex stuff started to dominate and drive folks away? I'm thinking people on the outskirts could do their own thing a little before they got too involved with the oppressive parts. As things got bigger everything was dictated ... mandates established ...Maybe it's over as soon as one starts letting someone else tell them what to believe. Perhaps those guys had some genuine stuff going on and it was ground to a halt by vp and company. But I don't remember anything from those guys, just VP and the local guys. But it was the local long hair guy that initiated things I guess ... perhaps it was his inspiration from the earlier era that got it going at U of IL. Hmmmmmm :)

Thanks for the update igotout ... and the other useful info. I have removed a few viruses and have some imprisoned in a vault, awaiting final judgement LOL. Glad you and others are here to offer some real help. I've been thru some of those 10 hour ... reformat, reinstall, sessions. Not really that much fun. I've been using AVG for a couple years at least and it is free. If you pay you get some convenient features, but the free version is full protection I believe. It updates daily at a set time.

I'm sorry I misled you Linda. I really believe military grade explosives are your only option at this point. You may be able to get it with a trackhoe, but you would have to excavate your whole yard to get every root hair, or it will surely come back, and it will be angry then. Take no chances, blast it and rebuild. You will be better off in the long run.

The article I linked to said the recent test included the same wines as '76 plus many new wines. The expert I talked with from Perdue thought it was the quality winemaker most needed for the midwest, but they are making headway. Getting grapes delievered on time in the best condition is a challenge here too, even if they are "perfect" when they are on the vine. On the other hand smaller wineries have the chance to do more "handcrafting" perhaps. I think the added joy of buying from a place where you have visited and seen the grapes growing makes the wine taste better. :) If it is local you can also participate in events at the winery and be more involved in the wine. I guess it might be OK to sin now and then and buy some Aussie wine. :)

Since they are at ground level, you could put some dirt and a big rock on them. Some say to put some fertilizer on and cover with dirt to help them rot faster, if that matters.

If you keep removing the new growth, it will eventually die. You could rent a goat to do it if you can't, but they may eat everything else in your yard. :)
