I was raised by wolves, but I'm not sure yet if they were just surrogate parents or my dad really loved the wildlife. But I still howl at the moon ...

Some other pseudo confessions books are coming out I hear through the rumor mill ...... * If I'd Faked an Injury to Get Sent Home From Vietnam by John F. Kerry * If I'd Quashed an Investigation into a Woman's Drowning Death by Ted Kennedy * If I'd Sexually Harassed Paula Jones by Bill Clinton * If I'd Invented Global Warming by Al Gore * If I Were a Liberal by Senator Barak Obama * If I Had No Idea What to Do About Iraq by Every Single Democrat in Congress Hap, the jury said he did it ... in the civil case ...

All my froups of friends post twi were in New Orleans ... most of them in Lakeview ... I just yesterday got the courage to contact another one, and found out about that group of friends. It seems most are rebuilding and living in Metairie or the North Shore. I'm glad they are hanging around ... in a way that is my roots now, oddly enough ...

that was what I thought of first when I saw the subject ... Tony Chachere's I still have some left from New Orleans ...So how do you pronounce that? I say "sash er ray" Other than that, just garlic and salt and pepper ... but I'm not very sophisticated :) is wine a seasoning?

Looks like a complete diet to me ... you may need to add some millet and sprouts some borscht and bread did we ever get protein in da corpse? but now I have to go get another beer ... excie, beer at 1pm?

well I guess I'll go read those threads, but if twi reinforced their control with physical control and ability to imprison ... wouldn't that have been more absolute? We GS'ers that are not imprisoned prove it is less absolute I thinks ... There were people that walked away ... they were said to be in some spiritual prison perhaps, but if you go AWOL in the military you can be in an actual prison. Despite the "brianwashing" of the military ... I'd prefer that to WOW ... corpse ... lifetime of service ... but that twi prison was really self imposed, though twi certainly preyed on the weak ... Really in hindsight it would have been pretty good to go air force rotc ... 20 years, heck, I could be flying something now with half pay ... oh well ...

Gee officer Krupke, I'm not sure if I'm misunderstood, or if deep down inside me I'm no good I'm no good, I'm no good I'm no earthly good ... or maybe I have a social disease ... What a great song ... But I'll throw in my off the cuff comparison for fun military vets risk their lives for the country (at least that is the idea) wow vets used their time to save people (at least that was the idea) military can retire on half pay with benefits after 20 years (I think) wow vets that go corps and staff get the bum's rush after 20 years military get paid and continuing useful education and training wow vets pay at least 15% of their income and get no useful training military are largely respected and admired for their service wow vets are largely derided and laughed at for submitting to a cult military have a "brotherhood" nationwide ... even worldwide wow vets have a few internet contacts or maybe a small fellowship Overall, I'd say misguided WOW "vets" have in many ways sacrificed more, and accomplished less ... but for the most part they didn't get shot at ... and a wow vet going awol doesn't get the brig ... and they don't work near as hard as the military ... and military control is a little more absolute ... and so on ...

Wouldn't it be stupid to believe a ceiling fan could chop a dog's head off? :)

They say if you see a deer or two cross in front of you, don't watch them, watch for the others that are following along behind them. I honk honk honkk hoooonkkkk when i see them in front of me ... and slow way down ... mixed reviews on those deer whistles ... but they are cheap insurance ... deer are on the move now ... crops are out, hunters are hunting, its near rut ...

"It seemed all but certain coming into this series that we were going to be a part of something truly special, that we would easily put the finishing touches on a magical season that inspired millions of fans around the country, but instead we somehow ended up winning." "It's disappointing, to say the least," La Russa added. "We were rooting for the Detroit Tigers just like everyone else." The Onion is pretty funny on this ... Pujols said. "Even though the outcome of this series has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth, I can handle it, because I was there in 2004 when we were able to see Red Sox beat us in the World Series. Man, what an incredible feeling that was… Just watching those guys celebrate, I really felt like I was seeing history unfold before my eyes. It was definitely my greatest baseball moment." Cool story Simon ... does he get you free tickets?

I wonder if there is some chronic denial that leads these sorts to leadership positions in church. As their addiction grows, so does their compensation and adamant denial, so they become especially vociferous ... which some mistake for being more filled with the spirit. Perhaps it is just a classic "me thinks thou dost protest too much" syndrome. Was lcm's motivation more ego, and vp's sex, or whatever ... Or did Haggard just misinterpret "laymen" ...

I was thinkin' you don't go from being nice meek little cultie to being a cult leader without being willing to sacrifice some children. If you are nice you don't have the young ones locked in servitude. Regardless of her disturbed mental cult state, I see witch like qualities, though I barely ever knew her. How 'bout loosening the purse strings and allowing for a little health care or retirement benefits for the flying monkeys? "Ohhhh What a world .... what a world Who would have thought that some little girl like you could destroy my beautiful wickedness." I just learned that the wicked witch sorta represented the bankers holding mortgages over the farmer's heads ... rain was relief for farmers in the 1930's and set them free ... the water melted the witches.

Hope you had a great one Belle ... of course it's over now if you stayed out late ... enjoy 29 again :)

OK, well I was I thought obviously just goofing about the goat, but whether your reference to them folding after the Bartman thing implied the incident was part of the cause of their mental breakdown, or just the point in time ... I still say the greater spiritual truth is the Cubs folded 58 years before that point in time, when they kicked out the goat. They didn't have the fortitude to win, even before they walked on the field. The Bartman incident was just another kick in the cubbies shins from the spirit of the goat.
