CES is in a Mess...
rhino replied to Captain Crunch's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
I think of New Orleans structures after Katrina ... soaked in the "toxic soup" for weeks. Friends I know there are deciding whether to gut or demolish. One problem with these splinters is that all or most of their leaders have their structural thinking soaked in putrid twi craziness for 15 years. How do you get that out? Sunesis talks about going legit so to speak ... I can see issues with taking on the baggage of some of those programs (not that I really know much of them), but they seem to offer a lot structurally and in other ways sunesis pointed out. Certainly some bona fide trained ministers would contribute a lot. twi was structured more on taking and dominating from a distance rather than ministering and serving the "parishioner" locally. How do these mail order teachers set themselves up as overlords from afar? I think they should be seen as a reference at best, and would require a disclaimer on every book or magazine. It would have to be on the front of every book or magazine, the same size as warnings on the cigarette packs. But I'm a capitalist ... so if they can convince suckers parishoners to send money off to them ... more power to them. btw this thread seems more about a case study than an attempt to instruct stfi... most of us made some important decisions post twi after giving a lot of years. To me going back to something like what CES appears to be, is like switching from chewing tobacco to cigarettes. It is interesting to see everyone's perspective. -
Post 10,376 ... Tom Strange answers first pictionary puzzle mark it down .... Just kidding Tom, I think you almost answered one other time but you have put up a lot of puzzles ... I was thinking "Judge (sting Roy) Bean" except it wasn't a bean ...

When the cult books were put out pre 1986 ... I read them whenever I could find them. For every one good point, they seemed to overstate or just make up some really major points (e.g. I knew "Hunter Safety" was not paramilitary training). I didn't believe all the sex stuff then, but it turns out that was more true than I knew. But now instead of a few books and articles, we have the internet with hundreds of people to discuss point by point the details of these type organizations. This is a good thing, but I can see how CES type groups would not want outsiders judging their actions. But many "outsiders" here are very well informed and even involved, and have some very "cult free" thinking to offer. Actually, this whole mess may be my fault. When John visited Paul in NOLA about 1988, I hung with those two a little after the fellowship, (where I felt John was explaining away his culpability in the twi mess ... "well, I guess I probably could have figured out it was wrong" ) Anyway, JAL was talking about his venture into comedy club stuff I think ... (remember that long bit about the pick off at first?) Well, I felt strongly like saying "John, get away from doing this same old Bible guru thing and go live life ... you are too full of the whole cult mentality to be suddenly pure" ... or something like that. Anyway, I missed sharing that personal prophecy for you ... sorry about that! But I didn't have any spiders or snakes in my personal prophecy, so it was probably just good sense. And I would bet plenty of others spoke up along the way, no doubt all discounted as messengers of darkness, trying to "take you out". Anyway, good luck with that SAT thing ... you still playing full court? -

Here's what stood out to me ... "What does it mean that I have been temporarily taken out? What did I bring to the table, and whom have we found to fill my shoes? No one else is me, and no one else is you. If you are taken out, who will then fill your shoes? It is not that someone else cannot be president, just as you took over for me, but it is that no one else is you, the Mark whom God has called to greatness. All of us together are what makes STF what it is. Sure, we can rebuild without you, but how much better to do it with you? We can have the balance of the truth of the Word as the basis for healthy relationships. It's not either/or. Everyone is feeling pushed and attacked—if you could just step back, you could see that together we can take this ministry in the right direction. We all need one another." It just seems they feel a little too much like THEY are CES. Maybe that is true, but it doesn't seem to be a group worth following if that is what is behind it. John's words seem sincere enough, but the buy my book part is rather crazy. Just put the thing online ... is it a ministry or a business? Or an ego trip? Nice he gave out his phone number though. -
Hopefully all had a very merry christmas ... I was just kidding about the worthless worldly families of course ... after all, they are the only ones that bought me any gifts. :) Box day fellowshipper? I found "boxing day" ... probably called box day ... donation box at church is opened and money distributed to the poor. Nifty ... I don't remember twi ever doing that ... Have a good one down there in the underworld ...

You know Jonny, I never got that salmon you told me about ... that's OK, I was just checkin to see if you sent it ... it could be some animal smelled it and took it off my porch before I got there ...LOL abi, did you get yours? Groucho didn't get any ...

Man, the Miracle Whip is really gettin whipped up on ... I buy some generic salad dressing ... I'm not all that discerning, but it seems a little lighter than mayo ... and I want to keep my girlish figure But I doubt I'd notice if one was switched for the other ...
-
you must be really bored up there Jonny :) I get miracle whip, because I believe in miracles ... people that buy mayo are usually seed boys ...it's that simple How much daylight did you have today?

Yeah, I'm revamping grape plans for the new place ... farmer market ... vegies/fruits/ everything ... now if I could just escape the house for more than an hour a day. I did get the tractor and the 3 bottom plow out for the garden.Right Tom, earthly families are such a distraction, except for having to be born into them, they are worthless. It may be time to invite people to my farm to give their lives to the lord. CES is dying on the vine, there are no doubt some disenchanted folks looking for a new guru. All I need is to remember something about the Bible ... or is that even necessary? How much are ex twi clergy going for now?
-
not off topic, this fits squarely in the topic of ridiculous names in a make believe world.
-
Good point Hammer (aka "Angel Death") ... I guess I do trust VP now that he's dead. I brought up the wrestling names because VP's titles seem just as make believe, though some seem to actually believe. Of course when lcm put on tights, he was dancing with evil instead of wrestling against it. Maybe that in itself was prophetic.

I remember a little, but not near as well as Gail. It seems you lived near us, but you had kids and I didn't know what to do with kids ... LOL I'm thinking you ran the fellowship that had some other kids as well, or maybe it was Wayne after he came down. I think you were also taking classes at the time. It's all pretty foggy to me. I left 6 months after Seargent Gil arrived on the scene and ended up in New Orleans for 15 years or so.We had some doubts about twi even in Dallas, I wish I'd shared more with everyone, but I didn't know much then. It looks like you figured it out pretty quick. That is sad news about Pam. It is a shame about Gil and Bob LaP. When I think of Bob I am reminded of Charlie Treemendous Jones ... he just seemed always enthused. I still have a little table he made me for fellowships. Gil did more more for Bob and others than I ever did, since he probably chased more away from twi. I remember the other George that worked for Dover elevator. I still quote him on his "Do it over Dover" line. :) It seems Chris and ? also homeschooled in Garland. Suzanne was a teacher and homeschooled her kids as well, I forget if she had moved over to the Garland area. Those were some good folks. (Suzanne, if you read this, I never thought of you as "large" but as very pretty LOL) Gail just reminded me of some of those things, so I thought I'd throw in my memories. I think I was just wasting time while you were getting educated, working and raising a family. Congrats on what you put into and got out of your years. Hopefully you have more than they say left ahead.

well, from my recent experience with recent family deaths, it is good you don't have people playing up to you to try to get your assets. You have family, you have only genuine concerns for family, and they for you, remaining. That seems so much richer than some uncles I have , where everyone was kissing up to impress them, after never really caring about them. it can be oh so ugly. it is good you have the time you have, George. I'd still like some of those unapproved cures to work. I just spoke to a cousin's wife that was told she would die but is back as strong as ever. But in any case you have good people with you now. I hope you throw out some of your insights ... it seems some of us never really get focused till nearly too late. I guess I'm just trying to stir up some thoughts ...

CES is in a Mess...

So they haven't hired any attorneys, except the corporate attorney, and the labor attorney ... Or are these guys working pro bono (i.e. they like sonny and cher) Once kg allegedly found out mg could fire these guys, it already had gone to the lawyers. It is hard to imagine bylaws that left a loophole where the king could just fire everyone and (maybe eventually?) replace them with his own minions. I don't know law, it just seems someone is flucking goofy. (I didn't say they were nuts ) Even if this gets somewhat straightened out, they all need to go. Put control in the hands of the parishoners, if it is to continue at all. Thus saith the RHINO ! -
LOL .. I was not offended Rummy ... I just thought mine was funnier :) You may be cynical but I seem to be better at offending people with my hilarity. So their!
-
Well, I thought I cleverly misused every word in the test, while insulting people that misuse them. Then I added Al's word and misused that. It struck me as funny. Some crap you just have to laugh at, even if I was serious. Not long ago Linda Z did a nice job of correcting someone's message where they were correcting someone else. That was pretty funny. I mess up plenty of English ... and just look for the gist ... I'm not sorry for trying to be funny. :) Of course then Rummy then shows off correct usage more succinctly ...
-
Their are so many stupid people here, its no surprise there going to mess up these simple usages. The test is so simple, it's answers are right they're, plain as day. Even I got them all write ... Morons... edited to tell Al ... Your all wet too ...

What sort of global meltdown are you anticipatingTom? In most cases all you need is a credit card. But if it is a red dawn thing, you may be better off just staying in the concentration camps. I plan to get extra cookies with my gruel by turning in info I learn here on where you renegades plan to be hiding. I bet I get a box of chocolates and a blanket when they find all you guys hiding at Ron's place. and maybe extra figpep or nutmilk on my familia ... and beer ... oh yeah, I'd turn you in for a case of Schwarz beer ...

CES is in a Mess...

The book plug is classic. It must just be a reflex by now. How 'bout just posting it here, or presenting it in pdf for free? I give all my revelation and knowledge away for free, even though in book form I'm sure most here would give me $19.95. I never did hear how CES can remove John from power. If he can fire everyone, does that make him the supreme being? Maybe they had to vote him out before he fired them? Are they a tax exempt organization? Right or wrong, why would these guys come here into the lion's den? LOL -
Well, he did sorta lord over people ... he was a bad master ... apostle? Those in the cult were led to believe that ... just as they were led to believe he was a doctor ... but he didn't deserve lord or apostle or doctor as a title ... I looked him up on the pro wrestling name generator and he was "Shiek Dog", so maybe he is a shiek Shiek Dog seems fitting ... they have harems, and he was crookeder than a dog's hind leg, and was quite the dog when it came to humping ... I am "Gorgeous Ice"

It seems this fits under "subsidizing diversity" and the other comments have dried up ... so this seems fine here, and you gave it a good start. Breaking the speed limit hardly compares with illegal immigration. (and if I get caught I pay a fine, I don't get let off) Allowing Mexico's poor to come over to take advantage of us seems compassionate, but if not done in a way fair to Americans, only weakens our country, and probably does most damage to the underclass we already have here, largely the blacks, (though number wise there may be more poor whites that have no preferential hiring benefits). It might be thought that we have more of a responsibility as a nation to the blacks. I'm not sure how the system is biased to white folks with lots of money. I know Europeans that can't get in, while illegals bide their time for an amnesty of some 20 million or more. But I would guess and maybe even hope that we let good people in if they have a lot of money to spread around in a productive way. You say working hard and studying works there, except there are fewer opportunities. So then it really doesn't work the same there. I believe the poor are much better taken care of here, at a cost to others. Mexico is rich as a nation, but they seem to deliberately push their poor across the border so they can send remittances back to Mexico, one of their largest sources of income. MS-13 is a vicious gang and huge problem ... there is a much higher percentage of new immigrants or illegals imprisoned than natives ... I'm not sure where you got your statistic or why you chose violent crime to measure. The best estimate from my readings on the cost of the average immigrant is $5000/year. That considers the taxes they pay versus the benefits which include health care and schooling ... I'm not sure it includes other hidden costs like problems from the unlicensed, uninsured drivers. I'll have to check on the "undocumented workers" and welfare. Most have phony documents so don't fit in that category. "Illegal aliens" is a more descriptive and accurate term. Considering they have willfully bypassed the immigration process and usually call themselves Mexican, it is hard to call them immigrants. Invaders may be more accurate. Many legal immigrants and those waiting through the process are frustrated that the law breakers are getting to move to the front of the line ... or actually not even bothering with the line. It does seem a methodical increase in fines on those hiring illegals would work better than these raids, but I suppose this is sending a message. While I see a problem with our exporting jobs, it is hard to blame Wal-Mart for selling foreign made products. We already have laws against illegal immigration. We don't have laws against selling cheap imports. It may be we will need some form of protectionism to protect our manufacturing base ... that may need another topic heading. The process of bringing legitimate law abiding workers into our system and way of life needs consideration. Blanket amnesty I believe is very wrong for achieving this.

Hi George ... You are one of the voices I always look forward to reading in the politics forum. Your knowledge and level headedness is always appreciated. Now I know I knew you from Texas ... I was the 9th Corps guy there ... I remember now that you struck me as a "thinker" even then. I probably offered little real help to you and Dee, but hopefully did no harm. It seems you did well raising Lisa. I never had children but can imagine that must give you great satisfaction. It seems good the three of you can be united now. Alice L that Wayne mentioned is the only ex twi person that I have kept contact with over the years. She has become a quilter of some notoriety in Maine, where she had a couple more kids after she left Texas. I spoke with her just a week ago. We'll see what transpires here in this thread ... I'll look forward to the discussions with you.

First the ones that want amnesty are here illegally. There may be hard workers among them, but they came over illegally. It seems the culture of corruption is greater in Mexico than here. Beyond that for starters, I'm not sure the way to get ahead in Mexico is to study hard and/or work hard. The class we are importing have often learned less noble ways to get ahead. The Hmong man that shot those hunters in Wisconsin seemed to have different standards. I seem to recall the Vietnamese broke a lot of rules when shrimping in the Gulf. Of course there is also the gang problem we are importing. The Mexican government even put out a comic book on how to get into the US (illegally) and acquire US services. Most illegals don't pay taxes yet use government services and schools. Can an American really compete in lawn care in the south? The examples are endless.
