well you guys are good ... I finally got like 370,000, but I still miss most of the Africa ones. Garth got better than mine on the first try. I learned Perth is on the west side of Australia, and there is the one in the middle of Australia. All those island nations in SE Asia I usually miss. Anything in Europe isn't hard, but I didn't know where Belarus was or exactly where the Ukraine or some of those around Russia are ... and at level eight many pop up that I never heard of ... anyway ... a test usually helps my motivation to learn, so it is fun ... :) and to Bumpy, the fractal video was interesting, though I don't know just what fractals are, so I'll have to read up on that I guess ... though it seems interesting that natural fractals are more "fractal" than man made fractals ... if I read that right ... so does that prove God exists? Fractals came into natural sciences when it was recognized that natural objects are random versions of mathematical fractals. They are self-similar in a statistical sense; that is, given a sufficiently large number of samples, a suitable magnification of a part of one sample can be matched closely with some member of the ensemble. Unlike the Koch curve which must be magnified by an integral power of 3 to achieve self-similarity, natural fractal objects are usually self-similar under arbitrary magnification.

is that her? had to add that last one ... ooo la la ... rita hayworth?

If you could get them to Africa, maybe you could waterboard them and extract the info you desire ... I haven't noticed many mea culpas where people confess to intentional nastiness ... that is more one of the steps of AA I think. The hard core "leaders" didn't give up, they just changed the name. They were given an opportunity to branch out on their own and collect money for themselves ... twi break up wasn't an end, it was a beginning ... Of course there may be some honest people that started fellowships with the purest of motives ... I'd guess they are not asking for money for classes ... just my opinion.

Gee Bumpy ... aren't there like 1000 pages on that question already? I'm guessing many were beguiled by some interesting twig leader that had lotsa answers and could expose myths taught in church. In my early years I think it was the feeling of being enlightened that led the way in. As to staying with it ... there were times I was sorely disappointed that I was not reaching any new heights in the corps ... looking back probably "the best of times" were my years before the corps, when our little college group was doing its thing. That led to the seven year "winter of my discontent." I'm not sure why I lingered so long, trying to make it all happen. You get to where you are committed and have an investment of time that you feel married to ... as you alluded to. It is true that human nature somehow makes us protect the nest we build for ourselves. At the extreme is the Stockholm syndrome ... surely there are similarities in cults or abusive relationships or many aspects of life. Maybe those people that sell those $200 sneakers could give us some insight on how to build allegiance to a brand. I think that we are humans has something to do with it ... as social animals, we build constructs that fulfill some inner craving for a society. When that is not fulfilled we seek out something else ... the caring little twig is the nurturing societal environment for some, which wards off the worldly evils ... ahhh, what bliss. But how all the pressures of twi life build after that undershepherding phase ... still, that is part of the building of twi society for all the little worker bees ... but I'll leave it at that before I vaunt into yet another comparison of bees and queen bees ... that might give me hives. :o

Bummer ... oh, it is fixed now ...

That actually brought a tear to my eye :o

Holy Cow ... But yeah, I couldn't get New Orleans within 100 kilometers ... and then I occasionally hit some guess within 50 by chance ... but it seems most important to be fairly close. within a couple hundred and you get near 5000. But of by 500 is more like 3800 or so ... then you might get 1000 if you are pretty far off. Speed and pinpoint accuracy didn't seem to matter much. Level eight was getting to where I was waiting for revelation ... I guess I need to read and study more ... where are those national geographics ... ? oh, and I did mean George St George, but not surprised the other George did well .. :)
-
WOW ... that is impressive ... well, I lead a captive life in the US ... so I only know Africa from pictures ... and some I didn't know if they were South America or the Ivory coast ... or some new country spawned from Russia ... and a few I just never heard of ... Maybe Bumpy will open his doors and let us all congregate in Africa for a geography lesson / wine tasting venture ...
-
Well, I took some geography test some time back, on countries in Africa. I found I had no idea on about half or more of them. Now here is a game on world locations. My best score was like 280,000 making it thru level eight, though several times I didn't make it into level six. I was real blurry on Singapore, Malaysia stuff. Africa I was still weak. Cities in China or Australia ... easy to be off by 1000 miles. A hint said it is more important to be accurate than fast. I expect George will get 400,000 first time around.

Herbie is more experienced than I am, but 3" sounds like a lot for a jigsaw, unless you have a longer blade than I've seen used. A reciprocating saw has a longer blade, but would be a little difficult to get a good flat cut I'd think. Maybe just take it to someone with a bandsaw and give them a buck ... or a smile.

I think it was very considerate that you threw the baby off the wall gently, and opposite the stove ...

show off lol I'm envious, I think I hit 42 best, I'll have to review that greek roots book

Mr Hammeroni ... you are certifiable ... certifiably prophetic I mean ... Maybe GSpot could issue a learners permit after 1000 posts, and a masters after 5000, and at 10,000 you get GS certified. You then have the cache to tell others where to go. :o

I'm at 780 with a level of 40 ... does it let you go forever? Many words I don't know ...

I was like doojable is now from the day I left ... any splinter seemed just like twi to me. I left cold turkey, found a volleyball group, professional folks that I hung out with. Then met a couple hundred by playing volleyball and running a little ministry ... I mean volleyball league. We had no two drink limit, I guaronteee. I think the insidious parts of twi can't be cleaned off so easily. It just doesn't seem it is a matter of changing my mind on a few scriptures. It was the attitude that we knew something more than others, or that we had some inside track, or the hidden fears that we acted out of. And it probably goes to our prior character flaws that got exploited, so those weaknesses were made worse perhaps, ... It seems you have to move on and get new friends and new books and do some new things. I'm not sure if there are some parallels to addiction ... It seems the splinters offered to fix it all by changing a few verses and a few titles and names. But digging a little might reveal just how deep the rabbit hole goes. And we all have that human condition anyway, so trying too hard to fix that might become stressful in itself.

I suppose the better scare stuff is rooted in some actual news event. Plus it would be easier to extrapolate on the news than just write your own propheices from scratch. It is rather sad that people are so desperate for something ... that they (we) got hooked.
-
I don't listen to all the FOX shows, but are there some programs giving out prophecy now? Somehow I don't think Rood is getting his rev' from FOX, but I get where you are coming from. Or are you saying the true rev comes from CNN and Dan Blather?

well I thought "used to", but for some reason "use to" seemed correct, though strange, tom. but now, after reading this, I think "use to" may possibly be correct, but I'm not real clear on infinitives, unless it is like "to infinitive ... and beyond ..." like in Toy Story, more at my speed ... We use the verb use in its past tense with an infinitive to indicate a past condition or habitual practice: We used to live in that house. Because the -d in used is not pronounced in these constructions, people sometimes mistakenly leave it out when writing. Thus it is incorrect to write We use to play tennis. When do occurs with this form of use in negative statements and in questions, the situation is reversed, and use to (not used to) is correct: You did not use to play on that team. Didn't she use to work for your company? Thank God properly understanding God's will and the survival of the world is not depending on me to understand english language structure. Maybe it was in the back of "Boy's Life" where they sold those minister licenses ... but Linda, we'll expect a full answer in the morning. But I like your insight on the prophecy club ... you tell people how it is going to be, then you club them into submission ...
-
Didn't they use to sell those in the back of comic books? Along with those sea monkeys? (and is "use to" good english? )

HA ... yeah, our beloved ministers that were ordained with their personal prophesy ... if that was ever the inside track to God, how did they miss the revie to get the flock out of there? Shouldn't a real ordination prophesy have been "this is all BS, turn around right now and drive home and never look back ... get a job, have some kids, tell everyone to stop giving money to these bozos. Thus saith the Lord ..."
