If I ever need a leg operation, I'll be sure to stick a note up my wazooo, with a flag sticking out ... and a note on my arse ... and a note on the leg not being worked on .... and pay for an observer ... and ...

Is there any indication they are qualified to teach even that? tractors are dangerous ... so is dynamite ... :o

The whole concept of pulling people out of society to train them to be a minister to people IN society is a little weird, now that I think about it. Does it really tend to make them more spiritual? Or just more isolated and weird, and subject to more control by the "elders". With the Catholic church, I think there were a couple seminaries that became homosexual dominant. The isolation seemed more able to hide and enable the problem to grow. It became their own little world, even under the supposed control of the Pope. But you take some young kids and isolate them in the country, and make them subject to the whims of a little band of "leaders" with no clear objectives ... and what do you really have? The corps principles are not really objectives, they are lofty statements to "inspire" people to obey to commands. It might seem. Why not apprentice on some real job, make real money, and spend your free time doing whatever the heck you want? I think I still have a 30 gallon trash bag full of SNS tapes somewhere, if you want indoctrination? And I have all those U of Life teachings ... so that would cover complete teaching on the epistles as they have not been taught since the first century. I wonder what a ten year set of SNS tapes would go for on Ebay ... surely some that are devoted to the vpw breathed word would treasure them. But I digress .... So I'll close with a song ... "Hey there little red riding hood ... you sure are lookin' goood ... you're everything, a big bad wooolf could want .... " baaaaa

Man Raised from the Dead in Florida
rhino replied to wrdsandwrks's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
The cardiologist has a practice that includes a spiritual side ... he prays with his patients. Would raising patients from the dead be good for sales? Surely he picked up a few clients, maybe he rasied his rates too ... After vpw's stories, we should be aware of the money involved in the psychic healing business. Another incentive would be protecting the hospital from malpractice charges. Better to convince the patient he did a miracle. Hallelujah .... A good guardian angel would save him before he died ... like Clarence did for Jimmy Stewart ... -
I really just have to laugh at the whole J2P2 thang ... this is like the twi version of rabbit redux? OK, I don't really remember the book, but somehow it seems fitting ... hey ... I'm on a farm ... it could be a excellent adventure ... but just from the brief look of things ... I don't think they're cookin with gas ... the whole 24 hour a day submission, we can send you packin on a whim thing is pretty "creepy" too. It gets pretty dark out there in the country ... are there neighbors they can run to?
-
From an old faart perspective ... it sounds OK ... like a commune ... and get some kids in there to spice things up and do the grunt work ... But how they could sell this I don't know. I have seen kids that want ranch training go out and work on a ranch, but they get paid and aren't under control 24 hours a day. Who submits to that kinda thing? Oh yeah, the way corpse folks did ... :o George Jess the sower ... so he was the coordinator ... but I guess vp was "the teacher" ... it seems that was more of a '60's hangover thang. But then, this new thang is in Mrs. Hippy, so I guess it is related ...

Hey ... what's that bright light coming at me ? ... and why am I standing on these train tracks ? It's the Obamatrain .... Oprah has decided ...

The tools for making a web site have gotten a lot better .. I remember writing all the html code like ten years ago, but haven't played with the stuff lately. I did like the way the goals floated in .. but so what, they don't really say how they will be trained ... 4 hours work, then 4 hours tapes, then 4 more hours work special projects ... That is what I don't quite get ... it is not an outreach program, and there is no indication anyone has any credentials for real training. Why would someone go give up a year of their life to be under control of some average joes out in the woods? It would be interesting to hear what the rap is to try to sell people on this thang. When V1P1 started things, he did at least have some training and had some experience. This offers no means to accomplish those lofty corps goals ... just the opportunity to get in on the ground floor ... of improving someone else's property. Do they have any takers yet?

I just got my pictures back today from my 100th birthday ... I won't tell which one is you, excie ...
-
but that would cost like $10 per month ... V2P2@WayCorps.org they can discern spirits .. but that internet stuff is tricky ... I do like the page that has the corps principles float in one at a time ... I'm thinking of signing up ... would anyone here like to sponsor me? I need money and a beer sponsor ... OK, I may need several beer sponsors ... how old is that old rusty truck? It looks like it was misused and left to rust in its prime ...
-
So they do have some qualifications for running this thing ... they are "bored certified" So if v2p2 follows the same timetable as old vic ... he will have some thirty years before his ministry takes off, then he'll be replaced and dead thirteen years later ... :(
-
I'm disappointed that he is VictorPaul38@aol.com I want to follow VictorPaul@aol.com .... no 38th spot for me ... Maybe he shoulda just been VictorPaulWierwille@aol.com ... or did one of you guys already take that? I wonder if MOGFOT@aol.com is available
-
Well I don't know them, but it seems they'd have more fun just doing their commune in the woods, without trying to relive their glory days. Old vic and the gang did thow that old fastball by us, making us look like fools ... hopefully most have found something more meaningful in life than PFAL promises, and trying to make sense of apparent vicster contradictions.
-
It sounds like he was "crookeder than a dog's hind leg" even back then. And his improprieties ran the gamut ... sex, money and drugs ... if you count the drug of ... hmmm, ego maybe ... to plagiarize these other men of greater ability. Of course the drug of alcohol came a little later, or maybe it was there earlier. It seems old vic was a scallywag from the start, or at least from the real start in 1953 or so, about the time most of his largest group of future followers were just being born. While we were learning to walk and talk and read and write, old vic was preparing his snare class for us. That's a lot of years as a scoundrel. :oMaybe claiming the start of the ministry as the start of WW2, gave him some sort of cover or excuse for not participating in the war effort. He had been called of gawd ... a greater calling? Then later he would reportedly say perhaps we fought on the wrong side. It seems those war years were influential on many of that generation. I don't recall him talking of what he did then, except in light of "his ministry". I wonder how he avoided the military. and the counterfeit MOGFOT was born ... as many of us would come to know all too well.
-
But did CES ever have thousands ina corpse program? It seems the first sequel did not have much draw. The third will be even less. Well, if he is a megalomaniac, maybe we are better off with him secluded in some little MOGFAT delusion in the woods of MS.
-
My best guess is the sequel won't play near like the original. They will do their little thing in the woods, maybe have a good time going gently into that good night. Just no way it will have the vigor/deception of the first thang. This will just be a little nostalgia play ... the old folks will enjoy it .. the young kids will move on in five or ten years. Or two or one. Just an opinion .. but this just seems like a miniature replay of some historic event. It will be fun for the old folks ... but these kids will figure it out soon enough, or if their ego is too big .. maybe they will linger in their little delusion for awhile ... what was that movie with Kurt Russell where the old furts replayed some high school football game like 20 years later ...?

Man Raised from the Dead in Florida
rhino replied to wrdsandwrks's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
He may be, I'm just saying it seems fishy he would leave the US to get his medical degree. If he could have gotten in anywhere in the US, I'd think he would have. "His face his arms his legs were pitch black with death" ... does that really happen in 45 minutes after death? I don't think his face would be black, especially not pitch black. Why say "pitch black with death" unless you are story telling? And I think he said the body was already decomposing. Does a body start decomposing in 40 minutes? It seems he was trying to make it sound like Lazurus ... he stinketh ... And the dead guy said he was at his own funeral. So the dead are alive now. Anyway, perhaps God told him to shock him, but he did not raise him from the dead. -

I just read a story ... I didn't see anyone raised from the dead. Some will believe, even if someone is falsely claimed to be raised from the dead. Really it is just a matter of checking the veracity of the story. Jeff said he was at his own funeral before he was raised from the dead. So are the dead alive now? How was he at his own funeral, when he was still in the hospital? The story seems mostly about Crandall drumming up business, if you are a skeptic that has seen previous men of gawd make stuff up to bring in revenue. Where are the other doctors and nurses ... shouldn't this be on NBC if there was any substance to it? He said almost an hour without a heartbeat. But they said they had worked on him for forty minutes, then unable to revive him ... Doesn't a heart attack usually take a little time? It seems like there is some embellishing. Now Jeff is probably going to go join a cult ... great ... I'm all for miracles ... if everyone else agreed with Crandall, it would be national news .. I think. Here is another source on him. It seems he has raised two others from the dead. He doesn't seem so world reknowned as the article says. He got his MD degree in the Dominican Republic ... is that where they do the voodoo that they do ... and psychic healing? Sounds more fishy the more I read. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in anthropology from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va. and was awarded a M.D. degree from Universidad Centro de Estudios Tecnicos Escuela de Medicina Republica Dominicana. That just doesn't seem the direction most world famous cardiologists would have gone to get their MD degree. -
Tell me more ... Where do you get that it is an "honors program"? That does sound pretty hokey ... there is a lot you can learn on a farm, but is it really an honors program, or just good old fashioned work? Honors students tend to learn from more scholastic venues. I guess listening to all the old VP tapes might be their claim to superior intellectual indoctrination teaching. If that is the sales pitch, they are really trolling for suckers ... and they will probably find them ... but with the internet it may be a little tougher sell than in our day. Frank ... what did craigers say allegedly, about what they stole from the ministry? This is such a rich story ... need more details ...

I would say the attending physician that pronounced him dead and/or was prepping him for the morgue, would much rather give the credit to God than be blamed for malpractice. A few more minutes and he could have just buried his mistakes maybe. I don't know who did what, but it did apparently take the shock to get him going, which frequently brings people back from "the dead". I'd vote for bad doctorin ... but at the least it was good the prayer had the confidence in prayer to insist on another jolt. -
Was the hand of Gawd upon him? :o

Would you pay over a million for this gun?

You gotta wonder if lcm would have been happier teaching high school PE and coaching high school football. Raise four kids in a normal environment ... no challenge to save the world ... no push to be opened up sexually by vpw. No need to scream at everyone with debil spurts. No Athletes of the Spirit in silly tights ... Or mabe he would have terrorized high school kids ... I don't remember him bragging about his football abilities. He was just your basic pickup basketball player, a little intense maybe. Red drapes ... sounds made up ... needs and wants parallel ... but God does exceeding abundantly ... belieiving EQUALS receiving ... did any of that really add up?

I got my Farmall M from an uncle.... it looks bad, but has always run fine, except for junk in the fuel line. I haven't had to rebuil anything ... put the gas in and charge the battery and it goes ... sounds great. As ugly as it seemed, I love it now ... and respect the power. It has a clutch on the PTO, but the thing still scares me. I just have a three botom plow for it. A three point hitch is really helpful, which might be a reason to buy something newer. If you want a blade on the back, or just about any implement, it is nice to be able to lift it. Tractors might be a good investment also ... they seem to grow in value more than depreciate, especially with inflation and a falling dollar.

Hey George, thanks ... I was just hoping I could scam some more free drinks from Excie, T-bone and Tonto. You have a good one too old man ... :)
