Welcome to the Greasespot Cliche Festival!
Brother Speed replied to WordWolf's topic in About The Way
Sorry WW, but I missed where you were discussing this. However, I am thrilled that you brought it to the front because this is so humorous. I've been laughing my tail off. Oh you poor folks who were led through the crap of twi2 as well as twi1. If I had never known twi I would have considered everyone who posted to be way off his/her rocker. My only encouragement to all of this is my original signature: Don't let your past hold your future captive! -
<<deleted by Brother Speed>> sorry folks, it was just too stupid.

Now now Mo, lets not go making up stories. Mo, your revelation is only part right. Catcup's check did get misdirected and sent not to a fictional place or person but an actual entity in Canada. Specifically the Royal Canadian Lottery Commission. I'm sorry to say that Catcup didn't win something petty. She won the full 268 million. And now she owe's me for my 10% finder's fee.

You don't learn overnight. Don't learn what exactly? God seldom allows you to teach more than people are able to receive. Some things God taught me that night in Tulsa, I've never taught- no one would have been able to receive them." I know something you don't, nyah, nyah. But if you give me 10% of your wealth I'll tell ya. No matter how much knowledge you have of God, God seldom allows you to teach more than people are able to receive. So I'll teach lcm to shove it down your throats while screaming obscenities (that you wouldn't allow your children to utter) at you. No matter how much knowledge you have of God, God seldom allows you to teach more than people are able to receive. Some things God taught me that night in Tulsa, I've never taught- no one would have been able to receive them." God seldom allows you to teach (a maybe statement) versus I've never taught (an absolute statement). Sounds like vpw was either trying to outdo God OR vpw was confessing that he wasn't the teacher he said he was. I'm not saying they don't exist but I've never met Mal George nor his wife Jan, have you?

GOOD MORNING ANCHORAGE! :D Maureen, I've never had an "uplifting" experience as such while singing in tongues nor speaking in tongues but I do believe you had such an experience. What you experienced may have been 'genuine' speaking in tongues and what I do - pure jibberish. I don't know, I never got a handle on interpretation of tongues nor prophecy either. I've not thought it very useful to speak it to a non-english speaker because I wouldn't understand what I was saying. What use would it be to join a conversation in a language that you didn't understand? I find standing next to a buddy who isn't shaking in his boots a heck of a lot more comforting than speaking in tongues makes me feel.

Oh, gee thanks loads Belle, take all the fun out of a thread why don't ya. :P

Yup, I quite agree WW. Except that I don't think God so small. But if in subscribing to 'if not for this minitry' places God in a box, then I guess that I have done thought God so small. It's just that now I think God so very much bigger. But in the subscription of 'if not for this ministry' thingy... If it weren't for the ministry, none of us would be here at GSCafe. And I mean that in the goodest of ways. Maureen. I never spoke in tongues before twi. After piffle I did. I still do speak in tongues. I never received the burning, the overjoyed stay up all night excitement like VPW. I do turn it on and off like a light. I even sing in tongues when I don't know the words to the song. It doesn't sound like any language that I've ever heard. Perhaps it's tongues of angels rather than men, perhaps it's jibberish cuz it don't do anyone no good but me. Could I have ever been taught to speak in tongues elsewhere, hmmm, probably. All this makes me wonder why vpw didn't swear allegiance to Stiles.

I do know that Medicaid - Do not confuse this with Medicare - has paid and continues to pay for their 'clients' things like, transportation to the doc office to get a shot along with the shot; the cost of the shot itself? 10,000 US dollars. The shot is necessary to keep this patient alive. The patient is destitutely poor, to him Medicaid costs him nothing. It is paid for by the taxpayer. I do not know whether or not Medicaid has ever paid for some poor soul's sexual gratification. But knowing the above to be true, it would not shock me to find out that they have. I make too much money to qualify for Medicaid. Sometimes I wish I were so poor that I did qualify for Medicaid because Medicaid is wayyyy better insurance than any medical insurance in existance for the working man.

Oh crum, I know the comedic actor, but which movie... ...and if I named him, someone would surely guess the movie before me.

Well, I didn't see the poster, so I cannot comment. I thought the big announcement was going to sound a little Disney "Now just one sip of this Kool-aid and all of your dreams will come true."

Aww, come on now, there are dozens of a lot worse movies than The 10 things. I know that The 10 things doesn't rate 2 stars out of 4, but it wasn't a quarter star like umm, lets see... Crimes of the Heart.

was it 10 Things I Hate About You? I don't know, it's just something about the witty dialog.

All hail THE.

This is the post that never ends... Ha ha ha ha that's a good one. Ok, now let me see if I get stuck. Oh my goodness, now I'm stuck, ha ha ha ha. This reminds me of my typical morning when I gotta go wee. and the edit function still works. Oh how fun!!

10 minutes to post time!! Used to be the only time that I heard that was at the race track!

I'm waiting for Belle to comment on my signature before I change it. The first time that I mentioned the word Koolaid in Belle's presence, Belle responded with "Thanks for the coffee spray!"

VPW's Source for the Law of Believing
Brother Speed replied to Bob's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
It's really just this simple: If you obey principle, you reap the benefits. If you disobey principle, you reap the consequences. It does not matter what dogma you flavor it with. -

That's okay WW. As soon as my head stops spinning from Mike talking in circles, I think the dots will connect themselves. -

That reminds me of the story of a twi minster's wife who had a baby in her arms during his teaching. The baby was sleeping soundly on momma's shoulder when all of the sudden the baby would start crying loudly and momma and baby would have to go elsewhere. This "cry and leave" happened quite frequently when the baby was days old till the baby was talking. I wonder if the twi minster ever figured out that momma was pinching baby's bottom to make baby cry so that momma wouldn't have to stay.
