Welcome Simone, Hola, como esta? You are in good company. Muy bueno. If you truly want to have an intimate relationship with God via His Word, then I would suggest you put all Way teachings aside. Get down on your knees and ask the Lord to show you what you need to know, and where to go. Then, start from scratch. After you start allowing the Holy Spriit to teach you (John 14:26, 1 John 2:27), go back and look at the Way teachings with a fresh pair of eyes. Then, you can eat the meat and spit out the bones. There is a beautiful life with God available to ALL those who seek Him. The biggest thing that I have learned since leaving is that is KNOWING HIM is the key, not just knowing ABOUT HIM. In the Way all I did was know about HIM. Now I know HIM intimately. God bless you! Via con Dios! bliss doesn't know if she is spelling intim tam itely right.........

Supposedly all the 'wayfers' abroad will/have gotten some type of ''training'' by them....... Belle posted the latest way rag article about their ''endevours'' overseas. They make it seem so awesome................... I heard ol Bob was having a rough time................................. I wonder why..?????. oh yes, thanks Twinky for the lovely clarification..................Southampton............:)

Dr. W told my hubby that it was available NOT TO DREAM. That it was the only way to have a peaceful, ''sweet'' sleep, to not dream. So, we used to tell our kids, ''no dreams, sweet sleep'' and pray (and believe ) for that before bed! It was evil or something to dream all of the sudden. Well, there went all my cool inventions...... Never worked. Done with that mess. Dream away. Continue our Joeseph friend............................

"putting forth focused believing action to move God’s Word " That lingo in wayville gives me the heebeejeebees............... ALL works driven, and self-centered. Glad that is over. I put my ''focus'' on building my relationship with Christ, then I "do'' what he tells me to ''act'' on.............

Thanks WW, I did look it up ahead of time, but didn't understand where the "which" part made it say anything untrinitarian or trinitarian.............and knowing VPW's record, wasn't sure how this happend or where he got his info. as for Jesus knowing the fullness of what he was doing.............maybe/maybe not. What I do know, is that he was in COMPLETE OBEDIENCE to HIS FATHER, and that alone is enough for me to believe the "WHY" he did it. He wasn't thinking of ME the moment he was on the cross.....he was trusting His Father totally.

Johniam, Can you give me the references to that ''theory'' of a forgery? I can't seem to find any. Just wondering. What ''text'' has it as ''which''?

"I am pimpjuice, yes, yes - pimpin is always easy at the WAY " :  ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? you lost me there juiceman...................................... anyway.......I don't argue that all these historical blasphemes existed.............and do exist. Has anyone ever thought about the devil just using those to contaminate the true God's image by using all these 3 in one gods???? (If the trinity is true) Just wondering.

I don't believe that animals ''sin'' either. That is not what is meant by ''sin'' entering the world. Their nature changed if they were made only herbivores from the beginning. I do not know which one. In Genesis 4, Abel brought God his firstlings of his flock of sheep to be offered to God. His was a sweet smelling savour to God, where as Abels offering of firstfruits of the ground was not. (all about heart here, not what they offered). But, it is interesting to note that burning a sheep was alright with God, and it had to be the ''fattest'' one, so I am sure they ate them too. Also if you remember, that Adam named the animals and in that comes a wealth of information on the 6th day of creation. Here is one from god and science.org: Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts [chayah] of the earth after their kind"; and it was so. And God made the beasts [chayah] of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good. (Genesis 1:24-25) The text itself does not say whether these animals are herbivores or carnivores. However, we can examine how the Hebrew word (chayah) is used in the rest of the Bible. Below is a table of all the verses that use the word chayah and whether the verse refers to herbivores or carnivores. The verses in which the eating habits of chayah is unclear from the context have not been included. Herbivore Exodus 23:11 Leviticus 11:2 Genesis 37:20 Genesis 37:33 Carnivore Numbers 35:3 Isaiah 40:16 Leviticus 11:27 Leviticus 26:6 Leviticus 26:22 Isaiah 43:20 Ezekiel 5:17 Ezekiel 14:15 Ezekiel 14:21 Ezekiel 29:5 Ezekiel 32:4 Ezekiel 33:27 Ezekiel 34:5 Ezekiel 34:8 Ezekiel 34:25 Ezekiel 34:28 Ezekiel 39:4 Ezekiel 39:17 Hosea 2:12 Hosea 13:8 An examination of the Hebrew word chayah indicates that in the vast majority of uses, the word refers to animals that eat flesh. It seems likely that the creation account of Genesis is referring specifically to the carnivores, especially since a prominent herbivore (cattle) is specifically mentioned in the same verse. If chayah were meant to refer to herbivores, cattle could be left out, since they would be included in the chayah term. Before the creation of Eve, God brought the animals before Adam for him to name. The text makes it clear that Adam, and not God, named the animals.9 This is important for an understanding of what Adam had seen prior to the Fall. If the young earth creationists are correct, one would expect the names of the carnivores to reflect the non-carnivorous activities of these creatures prior to the Fall. However, Adam gave some very unusual names to some of the carnivores. For example, the Hebrew name for lion is derived from the Hebrew root that means "in the sense of violence." Was Adam referring to the violence with which the lion ate its vegetables? It doesn't seem likely! In addition, Adam named some of the predatory birds using a Hebrew word with the meaning "bird of prey." Were these birds preying on fruits and nuts? In naming the eagle, Adam used the Hebrew word whose root means "to lacerate." Was the eagle ripping up plants with its talons? Likewise, the Hebrew root for the word "owl" means to "do violence to" or "treat violently." Although it is possible that Adam named the animals in some language other than Hebrew, and that those names were entirely different than the Hebrew ones, there is no biblical evidence for this idea. Even so, if the names were transliterated into Hebrew at a later point, one would assume that they would carry forward their original meanings, or else the Bible would have never made a big deal about Adam giving the animals their names. Adam's names for carnivores Animal Strong's # Meaning Lion H738 from H717 "in the sense of violence" Cormorant H799411 "bird of prey" from H7993 "to throw, cast hurl fling" - referring to its diving in pursuit of prey Hawk H5322 "unclean bird of prey" Eagle H5404 from an unused root meaning "to lacerate" Owl H846415 from H2554 "to wrong, do violence to, treat violently, do wrongly" It is abundantly clear from the names given to the carnivores by Adam that he had seen these animals in action - eating other animals prior to the Fall of mankind. The idea that all animals ate only plants prior to the Fall is contradicted directly by the biblical texts. Now, your opinion may vary. :) -

No, I think Eve (and Adam) opened Pandora's box, so to speak, for everything to become "evil'' in a way. The mosquitoes bite and the lion who was joyfully eating the vegetation, now desires flesh............ thorns now grow, (they werern't there in the beginning.....) so there was ''potential'' for these things......just like evil. It didn't exist until mankind decided to find out ''what did God keep from us??" Sin changed many natures, even human. -
Great connection T-Bone. Although, lets not take the ''Way'' road on this one. Where service was IN PLACE of worship. In Zechariah 4:6 it says, .................This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel saying, "Not by might nor by power, but By MY SPIRIT", says the Lord of hosts. I believe God has given every believer all they could need to serve HIM- that is , when we come to HIM in our weakness. We don't have to work for Him in our own stregnth, (like I always did). We don't need to depend on our own abilities.............. This verse states how we are to accomplish (serve) what He gives us to do. So, Ministry (serving the body of Christ), is accomplished through this annointing of the Holy Spirit. As our worship experience with the Spirit develops, our capacity for SERVICE expands. We become extensions of His love. His gifts pass through our hands to the world, effecting changes in it. God's spirit, I believe, is what supplies the power to our worship and our service.

Can you expound on ''this generation" if you can? I was intrigued by the ''preterist'' belief that Jesus was speaking to THAT generation exactly, and referring to the temple that was destroyed in 740 AD. Many of the things here in Mark that Jesus prophesied of came to pass during the apostles generation. Food for thought. Still working it all out. www.preteristsite.com Revvel check it out if you can and I would like to hear your thoughts on it. :)

You are right, CW, Jesus did do a complete job! We are NOT suppossed to do the job, we are suppossed to LIVE in the freedom and grace that His job did for us! All God wants is for us to have a relationship with HIM and His son. LOVE HIM. It's not about works! Having said that, when you love Him and want to live in His love then, you will just do things naturally. See, the glory should go to GOD, not man. And every time we ''try'' we are giving glory to ''ourselves''. ("look what I did, I served, I strung chairs, I taught, I lead fellowship, I witness, I , I, I !") It keeps going. Where was the point were we ''arrived?" That is why, we could never measure up. Doing it for rewards in heaven or points with the leadership. (((sigh)) That is not what God expects from us. Now, I allow God to work through me, He gets the glory. No pressure. IMO:0

????????? and....what is a mannie?????? I gather you mean manifestation now that I think about it.....I can't follow..........maybe it's me.............

YIDGTC- If you are in agreement with all this, then you should go to an offshoot. I have since learned that most of these ''beliefs'' were wrong. Sin conscienceness is actually a good thing.....keeps the EGO and PRIDE OUT and the HUMILITY and RELIANCE upon GOD IN! What a beatiful change. Think about that. If you don't recognize that you are/were a sinner, then why do you need Christ? Renewed mind is DAILY and GOD does it, it's not of our OWN abilities. This is what brought the Way down in both generations......Dr.V and LCM................pride and ego. Same with Lucifier. He thought his sh@# didn't stink and that he could do it all on his own. Seems many men have the same problem. I too would yell at the dashboard, when I heard something contradictory to what ''I was taught''. So, I decided to let go of all the teachings I memorized/learned from the VEY and started with a clean slate. I asked God to show me what to see and learn, and boy was I in for a surprise. I'll never say never again! OOPS , I just did. :) Now I empty myself of all that, and let GOD fill me day by day..... just my 2 cents Welcome Pink Lady, sorry you had to go through that. You are in good company here.

For us, true worship is when you are "praising'' God. We didn't do any of that in fellowship (we thought we were with manifestations, but remember, they were ''from'' God, not ''to HIM") We love church and all the ''transparency'' that goes on individually. I never knew what humility was until I went to church. (the right one for us of course) I am not going to judge why anyone continues to go to a home style fellowship, it's just SO NOT FOR ME! I get the heebeejeebees when I think of ''Open with prayer, sing a song......manifest........teaching.......abs.........oh wait I forgot the announcements............................"

In my new circle of ''not in the Way friends'', I have come across an array of doctrinal speak that I am trying to figure out. In Way dayz we learned that we were the body of Christ, which I agree. The "Bride'' of Christ is Isreal. So, we weren't that. But, as I study more of the bible without my "Way colored glasses on '', I hear that the Church was ''grafted'' in, not to replace Isreal, but to just be the new Isreal......Jew and Gentile. or like someone today said "I am the bride, I should act accordingly. (he's male). So, does that mean we are the body and bride? Here is what Dake's Annotated Reference Bible has to say.... The Bride of Christ Rev. 21:9-10 should settle once and forever what the bride of Christ is. What Bride of Christ is Not: 1. It is not Israel of Old Testament times. 2. It is not a part of the New Testament church. 3. It is not the whole New Testament church. 4. It is not the 144,000 Jews. 5. It is not the tribulation saints. 6. It is not any single individual or any one special group of individuals out of the redeemed. 7. It is not any one denomination or all the denominations combined. What the Bride of Christ is: It is "that great city, the holy Jerusalem" (Rev. 21:2,9-10). This is what the angel pointed out to John when he promised to show him the bride, the Lamb's wife-the Holy City, the heavenly Jerusalem. What a simple revelation! It is unscriptural to speak of any one company of redeemed as being the exclusive bride of Christ. If the city, the New Jerusalem, is the bride, then all who go to live in the Holy City make up the bride and not just a part of them. All Redeemed Will Live in the City: 1. The Old Testament saints were promised the New Jerusalem (Hebrews 11:10-16). 2. The early church was promised the city (John 14:1-3; Hebrews 13:14). 3. Every Christian is promised the city (Rev. 3:12; John 14:1-3; Hebrews 12:23). 4. The 144,000 Jews will be there (Rev. 7:1-8; Rev. 14:1-5). 5. The tribulation saints will go there (Rev. 6:9-11; Rev. 7:9-17; Rev. 15:2-4; Rev. 20:4-6). Therefore, we conclude that since all saints in the first resurrection (from Abel to the last one saved in the future tribulation) will go to live in the New Jerusalem that all such saints will be members of the bride. No one person, group of persons, denomination, mansion, temple or any other building can be called the city, the Lamb's wife. It takes all to be the city-the bride. It would be scriptural, however to say concerning the redeemed, that they are now married to Christ under the terms of the New Covenant, that they are citizens of heaven, that they have a hope of going to live in the New Jerusalem, and that because of this they expect to be a part of the bride of Christ or a part of the heavenly city. But no one is actually a part of the bride until he begins to live in the city, which is the bride, the Lamb's wife (Rev. 21:9-10). Students for centuries have called the church the bride of Christ but this is unscriptural. The church will become a part of the bride when its members begin to live in the New Jerusalem but it will not be the exclusive bride of Christ. All the redeemed of all other ages will also be a part of the bride (Rev. 21:9-10). The word bride is used only 5 times in connection with believers (John 3:29; Rev. 21:2,9; Rev. 22:17). The word bridegroom is used 10 times in connection with believers (Matthew 9:15; Mark 2:19-20; Luke 5:34-35; John 3:29). All these passages refer to believers who will live in the New Jerusalem, which is the bride, the Lamb's wife (Rev. 21:2,9-10). What say you?

Funny, I had to look up the same thing. What is sad though is in the Way, that was reality. Children were to be ''added'' to your day.................... I can really relate to the ''highligher'' colors. I don't think I had a different color for each ''administration'' but, close to it! They get funnier and awfully personal when you let it sink in...................... -

Just last month my "innie'' relative and I discussed this very thing. I was singing this song, Angels Wish and how it so moved me (emotionally). She piped up with ''God doesn't cry, he's spirit". uuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhgggggggggg  I got annoyed to say the least. Thanks for bringing it up. It will help me to help her, hopefully. Here's the beautiful words......... I wish you could hear it in the original Steven Curtis Chapman \ Angels Wish Was God smiling when He spoke the word and made the world? And did He cry about the flood? What does God's voice sound like when He sings, when He's angry? These are just a few things that the angels have on me Well, I can't fly at least not yet I've got no halo on my head And I can't even start to picture heaven's beauty But I've been shown the Savior's love The Grace of God has raised me up To show me things the angels long to look into And I know things the Angels only wish they knew I have seen the dark and desperate place where sin will take you I've felt loneliness and shame And I have watched the blinding light of grace Come breaking through with a sweetness only tasted By the forgiven and redeemed And someday I'll sit down with my angel friends Up in heaven And they'll tell me about Creation And I'll tell them a story of Grace Well, I can't fly at least not yet I've got no halo on my head And I can't even start to picture heaven's beauty But I've been shown a Savior's love The Grace of God has raised me up To show me things the angels long to look into And I know things the Angels only wish they knew

My dearest sunny fla TRUE FRIENDS DON'T LEAVE because of religion. Pray for her, like Job did his friends. Tell her that you enjoy her company as a friend and sister in Christ. Tell her that you do not want to go to anything that reminds you of abuse in the name of God. Like Nike says, Just do it! If she departs and doesn't want to talk with you, keep talking to her, or just pray. All you can do girl. I agree with the brothers...................be honest. Maybe she'll start questioning her beliefs .....who knows? "Friends don't let friends join cults". love bliss
