Like Bagpipes, I've been cleaning out files and such. I came across this letter from August 4, 2000 that I received ''on the field'' from the Danie!s of the Rocky Mountain Region. This came right after the second lawsuit hit the newspaper, and the Way's attorney's were seeking dismissal. This was sent to all Fellowship Coordinators to read to their people. It makes me sick. "God bless you. (Please read this to your fellowship after you finish reading the newspaper article and then include it with the article when you post it in an accessible spot for the disciples to read/review.) The second lawsuit mentioned in the newspaper article against the Ministry was filed by the same California attorney who represents the Allen's. This second suit was filed on behalf of January P@rk#r (former Way Corps grad and HQ staff Jan@#ry B@rnes). The wording of the lawsuit/complaint is strikingly similar to the Allens'. [no really????] The similarities in the second suit establishes, as was stated in the initial press release by the Board of Trustees, that this is ""part of an organized campaign to destroy The Way International."" Despite that , we are not the least bit intimidated by OUR ENEMIES. Quite the contrary, we are the ones doing the intimidating. We didn't have a moment to even think about ''why'' this was happening except it being from the adversary. The enemies were from WITHIN, yet they are calling the women he manipulated ''enemies''. How dispicable, that I read this, and thought nothing of it. That I just blindly read it as true. Let this be an example of how fast the cover up happend and how they dismantled any ''questioning'' about Craig's behaivior. I could go on.................

Welcome T & O, You don't mind me(us) calling you that right? We just left 1 year and 5 months ago, 6 days and 20 hours ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still have many staff friends and Corps family. The ''illogic'' about staying is incredible. It's exactly what you said. They don't think they could ''survive'' in the real world anymore. So they'll eat it. They also really, truly believe that things will get better. One relative thinks she "owes it to THE MINISTRY" for 'saving' her from a life of drugs and recklessness. Ummmmmmm do they not read their bible? God is a God of individuals too. He can work with any humble heart. It wasn't the man that saved her, it was the Lord's direction using his feet and hands! She owes it to God only. But, when I say that, it's the ''of course it's God silly.....".....whatever. Drives me nuts. We are so blessed and happier than we have ever been in our whole ministry life.........15 -30yrs. We make it a big point to respect man, allow God to use them the way He wants, but in no way, (no pun) are we gonna follow a man again. Freeing thought.

Tommy, God bless you and your family. Honestly, the one who is the REAL DEAL is Jesus Christ! Anyone who lauds themselves around as a healer is NOT the one. If you seek true healing, then, God will lead you to the right place/person with the gift. And it aint the one yeilding a jacket!!!! It will be the humble, quiet, and honest person who goes to their prayer closet, that doesn't carry the weight or cares of this world on their shoulders and who NEVER brags about themselves or their power. Just keep asking..................IMO and follow where HE leads. all the best to you,

Easter was coined "Resurrection Sunday" Halloween was "Bless and Treat", Valentines Day was ''Happy Hearts Day"............ the rest wasn't that important enough to celebrate and change the name I guess. These are still in my brain that I battle during all of them. I'll stick to the Americanized versions now. I am surprised you didn't get this in your area. But for root locals and such, it was the norm.

No, this is how it always is on paper and ''legally'' with TWI. Jesus is only Christ AFTER his ascension. He is the ''humilitated one, Jesus" before (ie. growing up,teaching.........) and the exalted one '' Jesus Christ'' that our prayers end with, and that is ''they say'' where all the power lies. Talking about him as a child and such and calling him just ''Jesus" is the norm and has been. (They want to be as accurate as possible, so there were teachings about this difference.) The reason it seems weird in general is cuz Craig yelled so much about using the ''Christ'' part in prayers and such, so folks would end up saying Jesus Christ constantly for fear of not using it correctly! JESUS JESUS JESUS.................................sweetest name I know.

Oh Pink Lady, Welcome to Greasespot and Freedom! For me I knew that God had not disappointed me, but PEOPLE DID! So, we started to do Proverbs 3:5 ( my fav verse.) To Trust the LORD! NOT MAN. ( they will always let you down.) Having said that, I have never been so happy in my life. Hubby included. And he's a way corps baby brat! We have found true freedom and liberty in Christ. Seeing that there really is a relationship with Christ just waiting for you to turn your eyes on him. Taking the "Way Colored glasses" off, really helped deal with the ''so called'' truths that we thought were so right. Ask God to lead you to the right place for you at this time. It may not be what would do it for me, but he works ''individually''. So allow Him the privledge of showing you the path to walk on, but you gotta trust Him in that endevour. I am sorry for all the hurt you've been through.

Yes, Templelady, this is the BIGGEST issue I had after leaving, and now to me is the most awful issue within the TWI mindset. All it did was breed arrogance and/or condemnation. In order to have a relationship with God, you need to ask, talk, share, PRAISE HIM, for things. Thanking Him for things I WANT is ludicris. I do thank Him for the things He blesses me with, like you. I am so set free from this and it is a beautiful thing. Jesus said to ASK, so that is what I do. It is GOD's perogative whether He gives it to me or not.................... and it ain't cuz of MY BELIEVING!!!!!! :blink: See how much pressure it takes off you??? Awesome.

I couldn't remember what number they are on (don't care), so I forgot to ask when my innie relatives were trying to find '' new outfits'' to wear for the BIG DAY! (I didn't feel like counting either WW :)) :blink: I am praying only because I feel for them. I really do. I also have some freinds going out Way Disciple as Interim Corps....((((sigh)))) I could not, would not, support them in their new adventure... but I will send them money for gum, or personal items if needed. I sure would send them money if they needed to GET OUT! But, that isn't happening yet, so I will keep praying. Paw, we really need spell check on this........I know, it's just me, I should check it before I post.........
