You know it's over when you go in the bathroom and forget what you went in there for!! Raf, the Bronx, huh? Me, too. Back in the day.

Hey, Finally! Thanks, Mike. All I really wondered about was what JCOP said. No need to take out time for the magazine article, okay? And Thomas, your Venician blind remark made me laugh out loud. But, it was your last sentence, and I don't know how to copy it here, will carry me through the day. Awesome! And Even, you know me Silly.

Raf, are you traveling by boat over there? Looks like Katrina's heading up for more of your great state. We're in the clear for now. GC: I know hot. I'm in Baton Rouge. No breeze whatsoever. As for whatever Mike said that was for my eyes only, I couldn't figure it out back tracking. Yes, Evan, Baton Rouge!! How did you get so smart, anyway? I've spent the day babysitting my granddaughter (1 last week) and talk about putting life back in prosective . . . .

WordWolf: Read some of your other stuff last night and was impressed. Would love your input. GC: You're right. Who can decide? Do you live in Louisiana or the Everglades, if I may ask: Evan: You've got a wonderful perspective on it, probably the best way not to get an ulcer. But, then, what would we have to talk about?

Dr. Sudo, et al.: My eyes are always smiling. Yes, I'm close to your age (heaven help me) and yes, I'm more confused now then when I first posted. What I meant by God protecting His word, was that I think a lot of it survived. I don't know what was left out, changed, forged, etc. But, maybe the whole point is what we believe. What do we do about what we believe? Everyone has a song, everyone has a doctrine, etc. No, I won't disregard a scholar over someone who agrees with what I want to hear. I'm old enough to know I don't know nothin'. But, I believe I've hewed out a pretty decent cistern. A cistern, actually, is NOT a pitcher. It's more like an underground pool. Someplace they stored water if they lived in the desert. Maybe we should put my question to bed. It's getting old, I mean late . . . .

Raf, my husband threw out most of our Way materials. I don't have JCOP. Would be curious if it clears my question up? Mike, the reason I said how do you know it's God is because of your previous post on how do we know anything, blah, blah, blah. I read some other commentaries that believe they may have been raised like Lazarus, temporarily. My battery's dying and my kid's using the charger. Later ----

Hey you guys--I'm not familiar with all this back and forth stuff! Actually, that might be good (a fresh point of view). I'm not a mediator for sure, but I must say Mike made a good point; let's get back to the original question--what those verses in Matthew mean. So far I've gotten nothing that can help me. And yes, I do realize Death is the enemy, the last enemy to be destroyed, how does that resolve the Matthew ? And straight up let me say that I believe God's bigger than the devil and He has the ability to protect His Word for us. -->

Dr. Sudo: Time wouldn't allow me to read all the responses on the search of those verses. I did, however, go to my eBible program which has a good number of commentaries. None of them were insightful. Funny, though. Anyway, interestingly, that word graves is the same word for tombs in Matt. 8:28. You don't have to be dead to come out of them! Hence, a stone, a monument, a memorial, sepulchre, etc. Even in English, in KJV, those verses are so choppy. It's like the saints awoke at the same time Jesus died, but waited for three days before getting up???

Evan, I still remember seeing Night of the Living Dead at a midnight show on Broadway when I was too stoned to realize it was a movie and I had my first anxiety attack. I thought it was a heart attack! That poor guy at the end...but the best was Warhol's Frankenstein; ever see that? I can't say I "saw" it, I covered my eyes through most of it.

Mike, I'm serious about the forgeries. How does one find this stuff out? How did McConaughy find it out? I realize Bullinger didn't know/get everything. But, I love how he hated tradition, don't you? As far as knowing anything, just because we don't know something, doesn't mean we don't know anything. (I didn't make that up.) I know lots of stuff, but, hey, are you a brain doctor? I don't know nothing about that . . . .
