Where can you buy this book? I just checked Amazon.com for Used ones and there was only one for sale at $100.00.....It can't be THAT good can it?

Hey Oldies...We shared some e-mails a few years back when we met up on Waydale. How have you been? How's your sister? Send my regards. No have not been to NY since 1980 When I was WOW in New Bedfrod, MASS and drove down the X-Bronx Expressway! I keep meaning to go but then there were babies...now the babies are going to High School and College.etc etc etc. Glad to see you again....Oldies

Hi Oldiesman! Who are you? I don't know how private messages work but I'm at marlenedunham@yahoo.com

Hi Jewel...look forward to seeing you. Where was it that Jim went WOW in '75? I thought it was Alabama somewhere!

Probably 30 years ago to the day - as ROA was always around this week of August...I left my home in the Bronx to go WOW in Independence Missouri (culture shock for sure) Our branch leaders were the Carr's (I was so sorry to hear about Joyce!) So if any of you knew them back then....it was quite a blast. Would I do it again - I would do THAT 1st WOW year again (took PFAL in 1973) but definitly NOT WOW year 2 & 3. I went WOW II because I didn't know what to do with my life and probably looking for a husband - then went WOW 3 WITH the husband because he left the WOW field in 1975 and had to prove to himself (actually prove to twi) that he could stick it out - probably the WORST year of my life. The marriage ended 2 years ago.

Ah....normal!!!! Thanks -
No More ROA? I never thought of that...when did they end? IMO that was the best part of the twi experience. The first one was 1971 I believe - when was the last one? I suppose it ended when the WOW Program ended as it was "The WOW Fetival" I spent my Honeymoon (no comments please) at ROA '77...how many of you spent EVERY Anniversary at "the rock"?
-
Rock Of Ages 1973 - No tent - outdoors - I posted a picture under "Every Picture Tells A Story" thread because I couldn't post in the Open Forum as an "attachment". That was my first "rock" - having been to Woodstock only 4 years earlier - I think we were still all in a sort of "hippie daze" w/out the drugs....well maybe not everyone was without the drugs.
-
How do I get my picture to get back down to the size it's supposed to be? I didn't do anything - all of a sudden its HUGE! Thanks for your help

So much for "Raised In The Way"....Can't you start a racist/sexist thread somewhere else?
-
Wacky - that's exactly what I did but never thought of it like that. I've had this plan for years - just wanted to stick it out until the kids got out of school (I still have twins going into Soph Yr of H.S.) I'm 55 (!) and separated two years ago, when I realized it was doing more harm to the kids to stay together(verbal abuse, etc) Life has been much more calm for all of us since then - So I guess you have to weigh the negatives against the positives in a situation like that. Out: I LOVED your e-mail quotes - I'm sending it to all my divorced girlfriends...Wearing your wedding ring on the wrong finger - too funny!

-->Happy Birthday George - I've been lurking for a while and I know I'm a little late for your Birthday but this was worth coming out of the shadows for! God Bless
