I wish I knew where Larry is-- I lost contact over all the years, sad to say. I knew him since being WOWs in the same branch in Albuquerque, NM in 74-75. Whoooaahh, that's gettin to be a long time ago!!! Have had some contact with Paul and Jeaneva; her brother lives in the small San Joaquin valley town that I live in. They came down for a wedding a couple years ago and we had them all over for dinner. It was a trip but a good one!! Amen to that Evan--post WW2 up until the mid 70s or so was the Golden Age in California as far as the public schools are concerned. Even the jc/cc scene was incredible--2 years of college for next to nothin'.... ok, ok, on topic... I am somewhat rusty on the recorder these days but used to really enjoy it. Great for 2,3,4 piece ensembles. Nice, organic sound from the wood and pretty to look at, to boot.
