  1. no worries, mate--what you believe is your business...I am not going to run it all down for you. Perhaps if you had been listening to the guy actively for 15-20 years like I have you would see what I see or know what I know...or not, as the case may be. Either way, he has certainly espoused many similarities beyond just the Kenyon-esque "Word-of-Faith" style stuff. As to his publicly copping or just a story--well, as you well know, Raf, in life it ain't all b&w; many shades of gray in between your 2 options, I'm sure, eh??????
  2. well, Raf, there is more detail to the story--stuff FP himself has said publicly. And, actually, the stuff I heard FP teach 15 years ago and more was not vic's Kenyon rip-off stuff; it was much more format and material from many different sessions of PFAL. Sorry, Raf--this wasn't some "didja hear who took the class" story I heard. There was a lot of fact and time, date place material combined with statement FP has made about when and where he was when he got turned on to God and the Bible.
  3. well, see, there's the story. He did not take the class under twi auspices, as far as I heard, nor was he ever involved with twi. And he took the class, AFAIK, from some folks no longer involved themselves but who had in time past, taught it "live" with vp's blessing. So, you see, he might be free of twi's taint and "stigma" and yet be familiar with PFAL and author, if only indirectly.... ps--these folks ran a black church in Columbus, Ohio at one time-- say, pre 72 or 71. So, in the over all scheme of things, people back then might not have tied together twi and a black church, no matter how remotely...
  4. well, the story goes that Fred Price took "a" PFAL class back in the St. Louis, MO area circa 1970-71-72. I cannot vouch for this but the story I heard and certain things FP taught in the past seem to suggest the likelihood of the veracity of the account. So, he may have been familiar with vp's teaching on a multitude of subjects. Of course, FP is and has been in SoCal for a long time and Dr. Martin was in Pasadena so the likelihood of FP being aquainted with his research is quite obvious as well.
  5. no, Igotout, not perfect--but being worked on constantly while IE is/has been at a standstill for a while now. Can you say no tabs, no popup blocking, etc.?? And unfortunately for IE users, because it is so ubiquitous, all the script kiddies and other useless klods write all their sheist to take advantage of IE's well-documented holes and ActiveX weak spots. I have NEVER had a problem of this nature with Mozilla, which is QUITE well developed these days compared to 2-3 years ago. I HIGHLY recommend trying Mozilla or Opera--they are light-years ahead of IE.... ps FREE FREE FREE--did I mention that???? :D-->
  6. WB--have you considered that Fred might have been teaching from Earnest Martin's stuff?? ya know vic got a LOT of JCOPS from him, doncha????
  7. Danny--vic taught it ALL along, certainly since '67 and the filming of PFAL. The Way Tree jive and heavy-handed oversight of people with the consequent squelching of the Spirit and spirit of God were what removed signs, miracles and wonders. PFAL, with all it's flaws, was a means to an end early on...folks were focusing on God, Jesus and the Spirit more earlier on. Then the focus moved PFAL to the Desired End and all was sheist, as the Germans might term it...or is it shiest, anyways it was God and the things of God down the toilet. Funny thing is, vic knew it and he just refused to admit why...his sin, his lust, his over-bearing Teutonic nature and backround just killed it...simple as that. Ask anybody who saw it early on and if they are honest, they'll tell ya true. Ask socks, he knows....
  8. well put, rascal. ok, now for your spin, wth: ... . . . ....
  9. I am sure some will shout me down for this but QUIT using MikroKrap's Internet Explorer and move to Opera or Mozilla or Firebird/fox; all are free and all are light years ahead of IE in terms of features and the LACK of security holes, at least of the gross magnitude found in IE.
  10. careful, WTH, your slip is showing--looks like your panties are a bit bunched, as well... You seem to know LITTLE of how things were as regards to checking things out and vics spin on research. I was present and so were others, even some on this board, when vic flew into a tantrum cuz HIS ideas (lifted from others at times, as we NOW know) were being questioned. Were you in those meetings when I was and others here were as well?? Apparently your "memory" is a bit "selective" then, cuz he sure was NOT open to any "variant readings" other than his own.... Why not write your "history book" now, wth?? I am sure it will be a breathless read....
  11. another one bites the dust...I will testify, I have been on these boards going back through previous GS and Waydale and would say that more of us had no "personal" reasons to despise vic but rather now stand somewhat aghast at his track-record of casual, off-handed, self-justified abuse of more than just a "few" or a "handful". WTH, you go on california dreamin' about vic's place in history...your tether on what happened seems colored and tenuous at best....
  12. WTH--you know this by revelation???? You, as your manner is, are posturing ...you have no leg to stand on, talking about who worshipped the guy and who did not. I first got involved in twi in 1970-71, never worshipped vic or any other leader and find his methods to be contemptible. He was a wolf who took advantage of sheep. I hate no man; haven't the time of day to do so. But at my ripe old age of 51 I am no longer afraid to call a spade a spade. What's your excuse???
  13. gosh, wth, how lucky we are to have the voice of cool, dispassionate reason among us!!!! Certainly u gotta b da man!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for your holier than thou, above the fray, wiser-than-wise discourse. Totally useless drivel that it is....and, once again, Paul and vp held up together as if birds of a feather, eh, wth??????????? puhh-leeeze!! Why not examine the record instead of your sugar-coated memories....
  14. What the Hay--get over yourself....your posturing sounds like the attempts of someone unclear of what he is trying to say. I am not interested in the rambling mish-mash of quotes by people YOU cannot even attribute them to... vp was a hack; deal with it, move on, get over it...all my words, no need to check your sources...Please--You think HE originated "THE WORD OF GOD IS THE WILL OF GOD". ???? On what basis do you possibly think he owns that statement, much less the thought and philosophy the staement implies??? I am much more inclined to ascribe "ownership" of sola scriptura to Luther, though I HIGHLY doubt that he would have "claimed" ownership as I see you think vp "owns" TWOGITWOG....
  15. What the hay--you sure are quite the storyteller--sure hope you get paid for your stoww-ryss. Perhaps I will toss in Henry Ford's famous(infamous??) quote here...History is bunk... So you would have us believe that the poor copy and paste job of vic is gonna go down in history?? Why not the words and works of Bullinger, Welch, Kenyon, Stiles, Lamsa and Leonard instead??? These men not good enough for ya? Their original words not enough for ya?? Their integrity not enough for ya?? Or you still dreamin' bout a farm in Ohio with a bible in your hand?, to quote a song by Salty Oats at raca 72... You are projecting your experience on way too large a canvas, IMHO--sure makes YOU come off important and all-knowing, though--so ya got that goin for ya, at least......
  16. good thing Jesus didn't curse that tree or it woulda died backwards, overnight.... :D-->
  17. rant on, mike--scream louder!!! Please!!! You are the one digging your own hole.... And, NO, I DON'T GIVE ONE GOOD G**-DAMN ABOUT WHAT OTHERS HERE SAY---I am NOT in COLLUSION with any of them. I speak my OWN mind, not THEIRS. I could care less what any one thinks; that is their OWN right...sheeesh, Mike--you are tilting at windmills better than any man of La Mancha. You, sir, are nuts-- I would not go to your church if it were the last one standing on earth...
  18. Mike--- very politely: Blow it out your As*!!
  19. I do not hold dear the credos that you do, Mike--you knew what I meant but you thought you were doing something very significant by correcting me--and thus proving my point. You cannot see the forest for your imaginairy "trees", Mike. I am sorry for you, Mike--I would not live where you do for all the tea in China...your claims are old and tired, Mike. My interests lie not in your man-made minutia but in the clear, plain truth of Jesus Christ and His gospel; your slavish devotion to vp's re-wording of the blood, sweat and tears of other men interests me not in the slightest. You rant on, Mike--your S/N ratio is as bad as ever....
  20. Mike, you go on straining at gnats--knock your socks off. You undoubtedly tithe of mint, anise and cummin, too.....
  21. Mike--ask ANYBODY where that quote is from, ask Raf, ask Goey, ask any of 'em...cmon, man, you are SLIPPING....
  22. JL--Brady said he had read a number of Mike's threads, he's a smart guy--he knew....
  23. well, Mikey--- lucky for me I don't happen to give 2 hoots about your suspect opinion. Who taught in what class that 90% of KJV interprets itself right where written??? As for the other 10%, I have had more practice than you know anything about, so you'll just have to excuse me if I don't limit myself to your small, petty view of God Almighty--after all, you and I are pots...I'll take my lead from the potter, not a fellow pot--sorry to pop your little bubble.....
