Thanks 3cents What I have in mind is a database of information from our conferences that could be downloaded to a persons computer. Some will be primarily text but some will be video clips and interactive forms. My main concern is bandwidth usage as I have no idea how many hits or downloads this would bring but we are embarking on a two year curriculum development program and there is a possability of putting some courses online. My secondary concern is web service fees going out of house when I feel fairly confident we already have sufficient web managment skills in house so to speak. In addition some of these sites could use a serious makeover which seems to be a long drawn out process (if it ever gets done) While I realise managing multiple websites is not childs play, my thinking is we'd get better overall service at a lower cost if we developed our own resources but I do see your point about overkill. I tend to forward think alot and if an idea has merit, do a bit of legwork to learn what is involved which is what I am doing now. Shortly I will talk with some folks about it for feedback n then take it from there.

In other words... what is the difference between dedicated managed host at $70 a month and dedicated managed host at $1500 a month or $500?? Such a wide price range puzzles me.

My research into this matter has led me to pursue a degree in nursing at our local college where most nursing students are female, between the ages of oh ummm say 18 and 25. My class (with a starting size of 120 students) had 6 males and less than 10 over 30 types so my research base reflected a large proportion of thong wearers. :D--> I have found that thong's come in all shapes and sizes as do the folks that wear them. This can be quite pleasant to look at most times but other times not so nice... A simple rule of thumb is, if it didn't look good in polyester it prolly won't look good in a thong... Another observation I made was that thongs require a certain amount of adjustment. This adjustment process needs further study to determine just what is adjusted and why and what we can do to help these unfortunate victims. ;)-->

Oh I am quite in favor of the thongless look but somehow that little strip of lace poking out the top grabs my attention alot quicker n bare flesh, mostly cuz of the subtle suggestion of where it all leads

What with all the organic ag groups around setting up websites I was wondering the merits of using seperate servers, webmasters and design teams to run these things. I've seen dedicated servers running from $70 a month with resale options and it seems to me that consolidating stuff might save alot of otherwise wasted energy keeping up with stuff. There has been talk of opening a commercial site but there is no immediate plan to pursue it other than a listing of member farms.

Good points gentlemen I've heard that certain spyware programs cam load stuff on yer puter too, is this true? Mikey

Hillsbro I am starting a non profit org to study the effects of thongs. This indepth research may take some time but I do have preliminary results... Out of the three men I've interviewed so far two said they were quite content with thongs and asked that you stop this nonesense afore the chicks change their minds (and undies). The third was a gay guy and he just muttered something about wishing his arse looked that good in thongs

I'm considering taking a media course next semester just to familiarize myself with the production process. We are working with a diversely skilled staff on designing a series of courses for ag agents, colleges, high schools etc. so having the ability to do some basic shots and editing might come in handy. Hey waygb if ya got one of them million dollar cameras yer not using why not send it my way, I promise I will say something nice about you in the forums. Really :D-->

Zix I have office xp pro which has powerpoint on it, in fact I've been playing with it and it looks fairly simple (keeping fingers crossed). Another project I am moving forward on is a psa for local grown sustainable products entitled the face behind the food, to emphasis the relationship between our growers and the land as well as the integrity with which they grow it. I looked on freedownload for an editing tool and found one from ulead which looked useful but then I called the college media dept who told me they could produce it for @ $500 if we provided the people and script. Alice our director is working on the script and we may get to film this at the conference here next year (ya gonna make it if it is?) My next observation is fairly obvious, aren't all these wonderful articles, that just ooze of the goodness love and single heartedness of the directors (what an Orwellian title, director)...leading in one and only one direction, signing up more people for the class? It's a rehash of the same drivel over and over again, believe gawd, committ to running more classes and give give give so we can run a class class class... It would be one thing if what twi offered was interesting or even entertaining (tee vee preachers are that at least) or showed tangable results other than pins in a map showing where all the classes are running, but alas no laying on of hands, no committed elders praying for healing, and as a result no healing and more importantly, no message to the world, sad really but when you innies read this (if you do) consider that last true healing you saw and ask yourself, if you are truly Gods chosen household then why are not more healings both spiritual and physical happening and if in fact they are then why are not hundreds if not thousands of people flocking to fellowships door for their own blessings from the household and it's directors...

I noticed the committed wc trainee's weren't writing letters home to the folks nor going for walkabouts or the movies or playing basketball at the Y nor in any way shape or form fitting in in any concievable form or fashion with the society they are trying to help out of the wilderness and into an already overflowing chuckwagon...which begs to question what the hell is this guy doing living in a chuckwagon? A dear friend once asked me what I thought should happen to twi, I replied it should be shut down forever. Since then I have toyed with the idea of what twi could do to attract me back and sadly I still cannot come up with anything, except to place me in charge of the liquidation process which me thinks is highly unlikely :P--> I think that there are a few vp die hards willing to overlook past mistakes and come back not to mention those that long for the *good old days*that cost so many so much. I suppose the truly needy/codependants would too seeings how we all wanted to go around blessing each other all the time... But see I don't fall into any of those catagories, I guess I woke up n smelled the poopoopoo heyyyyaaa....
