honest discussion of the trinity?
dmiller replied to sonofarthur's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
Huh?? Not being facetious, but that didn't make sense. -
CLICK HERE for a previous discussion of the subject.

I agree. I saw the initial post as a step in admitting a problem. Not being a parent, and not having been abused myself, I didn't read the *fine print* in that post, as others here have. Whether or not it is a true confession, or a set-up, I don't know. Seems to me there are easier ways to *troll* (if that was the intent), rather than speak specifically about oneself as was done here. But hey -- I've been wrong before.

Moddishwaher -- you're too humble. Just admit you were walking with *all nine all the time*.
-
Hap -- that sounds like a *Bushism*. (Hanging around Republicans again??) ;) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Moddishwasher -- Thanks!!

Hmmmm. The song didn't sound like it was in reverse to me, (although the video showed a lot of backwards movement). I don't know (or pay attention) to songs in that genre, so I'd be unfamiliar if it was another song re-done backwards. (Did Mathman get it correct?? It did sound like 4 chords only).

Jean (and John) -- Before this turns into even more of a fiasco, I hope you don't consider me part of the *Thought Police*. Maybe I am, in your book, but in this particular thread -- I was merely addressing statements made. My intention (in posting to LoneWolf) was not so much as to debunk his post, or try to make sure that any good docvic might've done goes unnoticed, but rather to address his statements about his claim of (as he put it about those of us here), ludicrous statements. For what it is worth -- I lost my respect for Docvic about 20 years ago, when the POP was hitting the fan, along with other revelations about him. For what it is worth -- before that I would have peed in the road, to make a puddle to throw my jacket over, so he could walk across without getting his shoes wet. Docvic did many things in his life, LOT'S of which are told about here. When someone says that one aspect of his (good) life *negates* the (evil) life, it has to go to the scales, and get weighed. Why isn't it (logical) to think that his (bad) life might negate his (good) life that he led??? We'll have to wait to see which way the scales tip, won't we? A lot has been said here about sin and forgiveness, (who did, and who didn't -- sometimes with references included!). If someone doesn't own up to their sin, and repent (change), are their Godly actions (if they have any) valid? I dunno, for one. But I have my suspicions. This is something that none of us know for sure (obviously), but if (as the saying goes) Actions Speak Louder Than Words is true, you finish the sentence. It's a LAW sentence that applies to all -- saint and sinner alike.

Open arms here, anothen. What you said was an act of courage. Thank you for the honesty. It was hard for me to admit my alcoholism here as well. Stick around. You're (more than) ok in my book. David

Good Things We Might Remember VPW Did for the Way Ministry
dmiller replied to Eagle's topic in About The Way
(My response --- in blue): Quote from Fellowshipper: "I have heard a lot of new things here about VPW I never knew when I went through the Corps. And was quite shocked to see the direction of the Ministry and the LCM stuff there after. Mostly the things I was not privy of when I was in. Although *in*, I was never corps I just went to a passion play last weekend and watched the woman caught in adultery and Jesus said, he that is without sin (this selfsame sin) let him cast the first stone. We all have sin. Vp was not perfect. Who is? Jesus was right, and so are you. I once learned we can't forgive someone until we remember what we are/were forgiven for. About the plagiarism, well I sat through BJ Lenard's class too. He spoke of plagiarism rights. Did you ever think WHY he had to mention those rights? It was just like sitting through the ADV class without so much scripture. I concur much he taught was already there, VP just reverberated it. Is that wrong? Yes it is -- if one pawns it off as his OWN work. I think my Lord Jesus repeated scripture that was written before him, and opened the eyes of their understanding. Correct. And He NEVER claimed authorship of it either. I can SIT when I want for specific and non-specific things everywhere I go. I do the same. Much I learned I will never let anyone talk me out of. I do the same. And yes I do doubt this and that but heck I did that before during and after the Way. We are called humans. VP is not here to defend himself as he is gone off of the earth. Yet if he was he would melt your face. I have questions (these days), also. As far as *melting the face* goes, I'll pass. Jesus "confronted* the Pharisees. Perhaps that is the docvic verson of melt your face (I REALLY wish you could have seen it in the ORIGINAL!) Somehow (call it intuition), I think Jesus did it out of Love, and not hate. I am not advocating how he hurt young innocent females hearts or other things that wasn't right. Glad to hear that. But I know he did reverberate the Word to us. I am still at times troubled about his lifestyles but hey I am troubled by those around me today. I really don't want anyone to have a go at me of my thoughts but if you want to: BUGGER OFF ! Not trying to *have a go* at you. Far from it. I wasn't 9th Corps (or ANY corps) like you, but I thought this worthy of response. But in honor of your request --- I'll Bugger OFF. (end of quote) His (docvic's) lifestyle preempted his message, and he talked to a lot of folks in his time. You do the math. -
LoneWolf -- many women here can tell of (and have already done so in the past), just how absolutely-fuggin-correct (minus the whoopdie-doo part), your statement is. I feel like making popcorn, and selling front row tickets. Hope you have asbestos undies on. You'll need them. Get some chest-waders, while you're at it. You just jumped in deeper than you imagined. Docvic was a pervert. Yea -- Guess you could call him the *real deal*. You've got your hands full with your (as you put it) ludicrous claims. Do yourself a favor (and us as well), and spend some time looking at the stories here at GSC (many first-hand accounts) of the abuse instigated by that MAN in the name of God. He was a drunk, a womanizer, and a plagiarist (not necessarily in that order). Sorry to *pop* (where have I heard THAT term before??) your cartoon bubble, but you need to wake up and smell the coffee. And FYI --- I wasn't one of the 100,000 he got *born again*, (numbers that you claim). I was happily on my way to Paradise, before being hijacked by docvic and twi.

Love hearing about harps. I've had several over the years. Never really did learn to *play* them. But it was ALWAYS inspiring to hear a good harp player who knew his stuff. Musselwhite, McCoy, (too many others to mention), etc.

Moddishwasher -- Thanks! Now it makes sense.

On Earth as it is in Heaven: One day, there was a catastrophic event that caused all human life on Earth to die. To sort things out, everyone went to heaven. God came and said, "I want the men to form two lines. One line will be for the men who ruled their women on Earth. And the other line for the men who were ruled by their women. Also, I want all the women to go with St. Peter." With that said and done, the next time God looked, the women were gone and there were two lines of men. The line of men who were ruled by their women was 1,000 miles long, and in the line of men who ruled their women, there was only one man. God became angry and said, "You men should be ashamed of yourselves. I created you in my image and you were all whipped by your mates. Look at the only one of my sons who stood up and made me proud. Learn from him! Tell them, my son, how did you manage to be the only one in this line?" The man replied, "I'm not sure. But my wife told me to stand here."

Time for an English lesson from Linda! :) Doesn't that long hyphenated word describe *song and dance*? Aren't adjectives descriptive (such as this one is), even if it is a bunch of words strung together? Color me curious.

The Minney-soda Twins are getting ready to take the field in a few minutes. As of Sunday, they will now be without the *voice* they've had for the past 45 years. HERB CARNEAL

Why would you want to do that?? What would that accomplish??

Congrats! I also (Bullinger) had braces for a couple of years. First food I wanted after getting them removed, was corn on the cob.

Valid point, Rascal. :) I was wondering why this wasn't in the *right spot* as well. Elmo -- please CLICK HERE. It's a guide to this site. David

Why??? (P.s. -- my screen name is my name. Click on it and then you can access my posts. Somewhere in those 11,860 of them I mentioned my past involvement with twi.) Just call the number Greasy Tech offered. If you suspect she is still there, how can you lose by calling *home*?

No problem in my thinking/ understanding. I don't understand the difficulty in elevating BOTH, to the positions that they hold.

Ductape -- Where ya gonna go, and be able to post something like this -- http://www.greasespotcafe.com/ipb/index.php?showtopic=13353 , and get the support needed? Nowhere but GSC. It's up to you to go or stay. I'm not voting either way.
