Actually -- yes I do. But I grant you that the daughter wasn't there, like the wife was in the story I told. Both voices were *unheard*. Just happened that I was *on the scene*, concerning the experience I had. (Ps -- I heard the tape of that phone call on the radio today. Alex Baldwin was just as vociferous as my upstairs neighbor that night 20 odd years ago. :(

As socks would say -- coolness! Rock and roll!

Rocky -- My point was to (and only to) provide a list (that I knew of), offering a link to the past of music that some of us loved, and looked for. Sorry I came down hard on you. I shoulda kept my *yap* shut with the personal comments. If there was an *exhaustive* list, it would have been my preference to post that one instead. Thanks for adding one more, to the list. I figured most folks here are like me --- wanting to keep in touch with the ex-twi musicians that have posted their personal info, and music --- out here in cyber-space. Given the response I have gotten about the BELIEVER MUSIC, I see it doesn't need to be *exhaustive*, to be a blessing. :)

Nandon -- true story for you here. About 20 years ago, I was living in a duplex. The couple that lived upstairs of me, often fought. I could hear them through the floor/ceiling clearly. It happened often enough, but it usually wasn't violent. One night -- I was getting ready to go camping, but got stopped by the intensity of the voice above. Notice I did NOT say voices -- but rather voice (as in singular). It bothered me, and the voice got louder, and louder. It was the husband only, and I heard NO response from his wife. I had had enough. I went up the stairs, KICKED their door 4 or 5 times, (knocking would have been too polite), and the perpetrator (the husband) opened the door breathing hard, looked up at me, and said WHAT!!!??? He was obviously *not in his right mind*. I'm a big guy. He wasn't. I stared at him from my vantage point to him and said nothing. As I stared, he started calming down, and breathed more normally. Then said in a meek voice, "ok, ok. I'm all right now." Reason I tell you this --- is because his wife was too frightened to even speak, or defend herself. I heard him loud and clear through the apartment partitions, but never heard her at all. If I hadn't gone up there that night, she very well could have been a *silent lamb*.

Yup --- It was a phone call. I addressed that aspect of it in my response to Rocky. My point (in what you quoted from my other earlier post is) --- It's NOT a wasted phone call to 911, if you think something serious is going on. :)

Personally -- I don't even like the licensing aspect, much less the registering. BTW -- this is NOT a rant -- just thinking out loud, ok?? ;) Why would the government need to know if I had a gun? I understand they need to know if I'm a citizen before I vote, but ---- Why would the city require me to have a permit to do major repairs on my own house? I'm repairing something that needs doing -- why do they need to approve and charge me money for it? Why does the state require that I have insurance on my car, before I can get tags for my license plate? Insurance agents are lower than lawyers. Scum of the earth. (I used to be one -- I can say that). (I've repented, and have been forgiven by the *Adjuster in the Sky*) Why do I even NEED a license plate? I kinda get this aspect -- but not entirely. Point is -- There's too much government. They're an unwanted *sugar daddy*, without the sugar. And when it comes to registering guns Garth, I kinda see your point, but then again I don't. What if someone breaks into my house, and steals (whatever) gun I might have that is registered, and use it in a crime (like robbing the First National Bank of Wherever, USA), and jacked a coupla rounds into the ceiling of the bank for emphasis. Bullets dug out of the ceiling, complete with ballistic tests show that that is MY gun used. Suddenly, I will be suspect due to the fact that it was my gun used. And that because I took the time and trouble to register it so all is *cool* with the establishment. I don't like my life to be dictated to, the way it is these days. Sadly, it's a way of life now --- but the less there is, the better. Like I said -- I'm just thinking out loud here. Looking for a pipe dream -- as it were. (It is still 4/20 isn't it??) :spy:

Hey there Nandon. Domestics may be a *non-crime* initially, but they have this nagging tendency to escalate into SERIOUS acts of violence. I know a few cops. I have a police scanner that I usually listen to for background *noise*. Both the cops I know, and hearing others on the scanner (when a *domestic* is involved) are all in agreement that it is one of the WORST --- (I did NOT say THE worst -- but ONE of the worst) calls to have to go to. Why?? Because both parties involved (sometimes more than two), are completely convinced that THEY are in the right. The cop is the outsider. He doesn't know the family disputes like the family does. He's only there to see that aggravated assault (or something like that) doesn't happen, and try to cool tempers before that turns uglier than it is. Those *injustices* suffered by one family member at the hands of another (be it verbal or physical), create a VERY volatile situation where each family member is ready to protect THEIR viewpoint. And there's the cop standing in the middle of it, trying to prevent it from becoming a *real crime*. You've got a bubbling volcano about to erupt, and a call to 911 is preventive medicine. It's neither a wasted phone call, nor a waste of their time. I could give you stories about domestics called in that have been resolved and those that turned tragic, but suffice it to say -- it is NEVER a waste of time to call if you think something serious is going on.

Docvic already had it *figured out*. Perhaps lcm wanted to *refine* that.In JCOPS (page 85) it reads ---

Dooj was right. He told his daughter when NOT to be home.

I don't know who this guy is (I realize he's an actor or something), but regardless of his status in life THAT WAS VERBAL ABUSE. If I had heard him through an apartment wall or in public speaking that way --- I'd have dialed 911 to report a domestic in progress.

I don't. They're in 5th grade class now. I was in 5th grade 45 years ago. I've forgotten most of my lessons from then. -
And THIS MIGHT BE THE RIDE for trinitarians on the same roads?? ;)

Good morning Kathy (everyone else too!). Time for me to hit the sack!! (someone hum a *waltz-time tempo* for me to drift off to sleep by).

Rocky -- I never claimed it was *ALL-INCLUSIVE*. (sheesh!) <_< Get a life, will ya??? I've seen it posted here that in actuality you're a very nice person in real life. Why do you continue to rebuff that observation by your asinine statements online?? Your detrimental comments (i.e. -- *getting the last word in*), add NOTHING to the conversation. If you don't know music, or musicians -- shut up. :) I provided a list from another site, nothing more, nothing less. Perhaps you can argue with them about it's *lack* of completeness.

Points AND a *three on the tree*!!! That's going back a few years! I've still got a timing light, but haven't used it in who-knows-how-long!

Good enough. But ask the dealer if he can find you a Subi. Usually -- they can find what you ask for. They really are (imo) far superior to Fords. Subarus just don't break. :) I've had both Ford's and Chevy's, Plymouth's and Volkswagens. My favorite Chevy was a 1967 Camaro I used to have. My least favorite Ford was an Escort. My favorite Ford was a 1949 pick-up, with a 351 Cleveland engine. (It ROCKED!) I've got a Dodge 4 x 4 and the Subaru now. (Just a thot) --- perhaps you could do searches for the (cough!!) BEST auto for you. The dealer I got mine from doesn't carry Subarus (normally), but was able to locate this one for a customer of his. The customer backed out of the deal, and I stepped in where he left off. Figure out what you want in an auto, let the dealer know, and I'm willing to bet he'll do the *leg-work* to find it for you. :) And ---------- don't forget that Car fax link I gave earlier. If you have the Vin number of the car -- you can get detailed info on THAT PARTICULAR vehicle. Good luck, and happy motoring!
