Wisconsin?? Why Wisconsin?? That's just south over the bridge from me here in Minney-soda. (Ps --- In answer to your question about the pfal book --- it's an *old wineskin*. Nother words, it served it's purpose (for a time), but isn't relevant to what they NOW know to be the PRESENT TRUTH, (or whatever they are calling it (these days).

Sweet (and sour) Pork!!!!. (Do you want fries errrr ------ RICE with that???)

Hap -- I agree. But I also agree with Rascal. With me -- it's not the *necessity* of owning and carrying a gun, so much as it is being able to protect yourself (if and when), necessary. Maybe this is a lame comparison ---- but --- suppose knives were outlawed. Suppose anything with a sharp blade became illegal. Suppose (here in Minney-soda), I drove off the road, and into one of our lakes up here, while strapped in (seat-belt and all), as required by law up here. While my car is sinking into the lake, I have no way to QUICKLY extricate myself from the *confines* of the seat-belt. It's the same feeling of helplessness. In other words -- one doesn't have the TOOLS AT HAND, to deal with the situation. I have to agree with Ex-70's that not all should carry guns. But I still believe that those who are RESPONSIBLE, shouldn't be prevented from carrying wherever they might go. That's all I was trying to convey.

Shucks -- I read *Rosie* in the title, and I thought -- well you know!! Then I saw Rosie O'Donnell, and I wondered how different than that is --- Rosie -- "Ohhhhhhh!!! Donnaaaaa!" Makes ya wanna go Hmmmmmm!

Actually --I'll add this quote for emphasis --- Have at it, Rocky. The ball is in YOUR court! ;)

Uhmmmmmmm, back a few pages (I'm not going to look for the quote from you -- you can *do the research*), you made a comment about Eagle showing proof, before you would have respect for him. So yes -- his book DOES relate to this thread. Perhaps not in context (on THAT we can agree), but rather in his ability to show proof (verification) of what he has written. Since I have the book in question, and have seen your comments on his (Eagle's) veracity, I can say (as I did) that he gave 30 plus pages of verification, to what he had said/ quoted/ used in his book. And you question one single statement, and make a big deal out of it?? Wonderful. This is a thread, and not a book. Big deal. I find it hard to believe that someone who can extensively give credit to others in a book, would be so lax as to make asinine statements, as you are claiming, here on a single thread at GreaseSpot. But it's you doing the claiming/ slamming/ flaming. Eagle has proved himself in the literary world. It's you who are doing the ignoring of such. So -- I'm outta here too. You can have the last word if you wish. I don't really care to continue in this. But I will say -- I think you need therapy Rocky. Granted-- each of us have our own opinions -- but your anger/ retaliation/ yadda-yadda, sounds like it could use some counseling. You have a habit of taking an innocent statement (by whomever), and making a BIG DEAL out of it. Two words of advice --- (if I may) --- CHILL OUT!!! Life is too short for this. Do (both yourself and all of us) a favor. Seek help, enjoy Arizona and the Sun, and put ice in your drink of choice. :) (Like I said -- this is my last post to you about this). The *Last Word* is yours. Do us proud.

There is really TOO much to address here, and it has all been done so before. You've mentioned good points, bad points, moot points, inconsequential points, and for what?? Please read the forums here of first hand experiences that resulted in *sackcloth and ashes*. I'm glad you had a good experience -- getting in, and out, at the *ordained* time. Most of us weren't that *lucky*, like you were. Perhaps this should really be discussed in the ABOUT THE WAY Forum -- but --- I would like to address this statement you made --- When Balaam was about to *chastise* his donkey (gotta use that word here instead of @$$) ---- Did the angel blame the devil, or Balaam? Numbers 7: 21-34 When David was confronted by Nathan, Nathan confronted David -- not the devil. II Samuel 12: 1 ff (should I continue into the New Testament for further examples??) The evil these men did was confronted, and THEY were held to be accountable. That which is being leveled against docvic, lcm, etc., here at the GSC has little difference. We are NOT playing God, yet we ARE holding men accountable for what they have done. Granted -- they were exposed to the *fiery darts*, and by their acquiescence to them, they hurt a lot of folks (as in the biblical records mentioned -- and others not mentioned). They are to be blamed -- just like the *figures of old*. Just like I would be -- if I were in their shoes. The hurt that many here have experienced doesn't easily go away. Looking for *closure* (if you will), is a healing process. I'm one of the one's here who have seen some good out of the twi years. But by the same token -- my life got hijacked. I'll never get it back. And My Story is one of the *tame ones* to what you can read here. And yes -- plagiarism IS A VERY BIG DEAL. To steal and sell another man's work as your own, is wrong in ANY PERSON'S BOOK, regardless of results realized. Docvic came with a set of *packaged goods*, and pawned them off on us. Yea -- I agree with some of it (more than most here will do), BUT THE MAIN REASON I DO SO IS ---- It's my opinion he got it from VALID TEACHERS. If you read here at the Cafe, you will soooooo many discussions about how he docvic (excuse me -- that's my term for *dr*. wierwille), has done all he could, to facilitate an easier life for himself. I'm not kidding. I wish I was. (My tombstone should read -- I wish I was the kidder I knew to be). <_< FWIW -- I'm willing to blame the devil. But I'm ALSO willing to hold folks accountable. Especially if they are *leaders*. Especially if they purport to *teach God's Word*. And especially if they ruin and wreak havoc in the lives of their followers, in the process. Again -- Welcome to GreaseSpot Cafe. Sorry for the rant -- it's not typical that you get it from me, but it's commentary/life as we know it, here at GSC. David

I copied them, and sent them to my PhotoBucket account. Great site. :)

Eagle -- don't sweat it, OK?? Some folks have a *hair cross-wise* (I'll refrain from mentioning where), and nothing you say will get them to admit it. Perhaps Rocky should get a copy of your book THE GENESIS PURSUIT, if for no other reason that to read from page 525 through 555, where you document your sources, and give references. THAT is NOT indicative of *sloppy work*. You didn't offer it there, and you haven't offered it here.

B.G. Leonard attended VPW's funeral?
dmiller replied to Through the Looking Glass's topic in About The Way
Thanks George. :) I looked up B.G., and see he passed away in 2000. Maybe he went to N.K. those 15 years previous, to reclaim his work and get recognition??? Nahhhhh. So King Okie got preempted by King Canuck. What-a-shame!!! -
Rick has longer hair than that??? Does it get tangled up in the strings??? :P :P :P (FYI -- I have to keep my beard trimmed, so it doesn't get tangled up in the strings OR the bow!!)

MagnumsTwin -- Welcome to GreaseSpot Cafe. :) I had to break that up into paragraphs (for these old eyes) to read. Hope you don't mind -- I did quote you verbatim. Polar Bear made a couple of good suggestions and comments. May I offer some coffee for you, while you look at the forums here?? Again welcome to the site.

He he he he!! There's a *loaded question*. ;) Welcome to GreaseSpot Cafe. May I offer you the first cup of coffee?? :)

I should have added this --- Cyrus was the man he knew to be. Docvic was not. (look at his tombstone). Even though a pagan -- Cyrus adhered to the Word given to him in prophesy. Even though a *Christian* -- Docvic acted like a pagan. Go figure. :(
-
(Ain't that the truth!) LoneWolf -- I get what you're saying, but I wonder how many actually were *saved* by docvic, twi, and/or the class?? Many that I witnessed to that took the class (granted -- not a HUGE number, and myself as well) --- were already involved in some other church setting, and took the class for the *key* aspect. In other words -- learning more about the bible, which we had already been introduced to. Bolshevik makes a very valid point. It came up in the threads about Jim Doop and the Jesus Movement of the 60's. The argument was made (validated or not -- and I don't know where the thread is, so don't ask), that docvic hijacked the Jesus movement, He went, he saw, he conquered. What was a viable interest in God and the Scripture (at that time), somehow got all funneled into box 328 N.K., Ohio. Want my opinion?? Docvic was the absolute opposite of Cyrus. :)

Vegan -- Hey there. :) John S. is a real person. Nother words --- he has no agenda like some do. From my perspective -- he lives to learn and teach the Bible. He doesn't aspire to greatness. He seems to be happiest with a bunch of research books in front of him, and not some adoring congregation (like some other folks that we know of). One of his more poignant teachings (yes -- on a tape from CES) is: The Last Week Of Christ's Life. If you would like a copy of it, PM me with your address, and I'll send you a copy. CES allows reproduction of whatever info they send out, so it's not *stealing* to send it to you. This is one teaching that absolutely *knocked my socks off*. When John teaches -- he's not promoting CES or any other ministry. He promotes God's Word, and he has the gift for doing it for any and all listening. Let's just say his enthusiasm for God's Word is contagious!! ;)

Hey there Vegan :) ---- coupla comments (if I may); What my neighbor does is none of my business, unless they break the law. Nor is what I do any of their business, unless I break the law. If they feel safer with a machine gun -- so what? I feel safe with what I have, though I (personally) wouldn't go to that extreme. I don't think it is the gun that is so much in question, as it is the mentality of the person owning it. Maybe you can agree, maybe you don't. Ex-70's said it quite well -- It's people who kill people, not guns. Whether you're driving a big SUV, or a small hybrid car --- and you impact a pedestrian head on at 60 MPH, they are just as dead regardless of the vehicle. It's the driver's fault -- not the vehicle. I don't mean to suggest that everyone go out and get a *grenade-launcher*. but by the same token -- I don't see a need for a *line to be drawn*, when it comes to personal protection, given what each person deems necessary for themselves. Like I said earlier -- it's all about governmental control, which we need LESS of. I don't need them telling me how to live my life. They don't live in this neighborhood like I do, and they have NO idea what happens here each night. The *gun-free* zones are an invitation to wacko's like this latest guy. I understand the wish for peace and harmony (especially in a school setting), but damn! Someone with an attitude knows that he/ she/ or whomever, can do whatever they want there, and with dire consequences (such as happened last week). I have no problem with an armed populace, and I don't care what they're *packing*. If they know how to use it (responsibly), it's a deterrent to crime, not an additive. And THAT is the difference. Responsibility adds security for everyone. It's not the gun, it's the person behind it. Whatever the caliber or type of gun this latest jerk used is NOT the question. His mental status is what should be under scrutiny instead. Nor is what my neighbor (or I) might have, the question either. It's how we act with what we have. Responsibly, or not.

Were You Afraid You Might Be A Grease Spot?...
dmiller replied to Lone Wolf McQuade's topic in About The Way
Here's both mine (and other's thoughts) about that. ;) -
HERE'S ANOTHER ONE :)

Socks is right -- there's no *bottom end* to the music. It lacks definition.
