  1. Yup. I think JOHAN SANTANA is the pitcher for tomorrow's game.
  2. Bolshevik -- Your Red Sox are here in Minney-soda. I was hoping the Twins could do a sweep, but after tonight -- I'm hoping for a 2 out of 3 win for the Twins. (Our *twinkies* haven't been playing real well -- lately!) :(
  3. Ha ha ha!!! Mr. H -- congrats! Free -- Good luck! (Just remember that 5 minutes of SIT is worth 8 hours of study!) Duckinnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggg!!!!!
  4. Hmmm. That's what mine was doing at first. Thanks! (wandering off looking for updates ......) :)
  5. Notta -- I had to save it to disk (desktop), and open it from there. Good luck. It's interesting.
  6. For what it is worth --- I've said this before, and I'll say it again. While (not fellowshipping personally with CES - though I've supported their work), I liked them better in the *old days*, when they focused on teachings, rather than being a *church*, as they are now. I see NO need to be a *church*. They were doing just fine the way they were. Some interesting stuff (imo) was found, and taught. (Still is -- as a matter of fact). Whether they are right or wrong (as pertains to their teachings), is up to the individual reading it. Having seen several revisions of some of their works -- I can honestly say that they are *writing to help others*. Given the folks (there) who are at *the helm* of CES, it's easy for folks (here) to give them a *bad rap* immediately, and feel comfortable in doing so. I, personally don't care what folks think of CES, or ANY other outfit. Whomever is offering written material -- read it, before criticizing. And if they offer revisions later on -- saying they weren't entirely correct the first time, take that into consideration as well. I'm guessing you have made mistakes in life, as have I, and we have tried to undo those mistakes. Afford them the same consideration as you would yourself.
  7. I'm good for tips (on the generous side), but ONLY at sit down restaurants (when it comes to food). Barbers, taxicab drivers, (service oriented things like that) get tipped too. If I go to hear a musician play, and there is a tip jar out there by the stage --- it's at least a five if not more/ plus I buy a cd (if they are good). Tip jars by the stage mean that the musician gets the money -- and not the management of the club. True story ------- My brother is a Captain for Delta Airlines. He used to fly international flights, but now does domestic only. He was piloting a flight that landed in Kansas City. Another plane pulled in behind his that had a crew on it, that he and his crew were friends with. About 6 or 7 of them decided to go out for dinner. Both crews were on a day layover, so they went to a nice restaurant for drinks and steaks. They arrive at the restaurant, hang their coats over the back of their chairs, and the waiter shows up smiling and asking --- "Gentlemen. What can I get you?" One of the crew members notes that the waiter has no pad of paper, nor pen. He says --- "Don't you want to get your order pad??" The waiter put his hands behind his back, and gave them one of these --- while saying --- "Order pad?? I don't think so". So these folks (my brother and his friends) -- gave their order for drinks. The waiter disappeared to fetch the drinks, and conspiracy ensued. It was unanimous (at the table), that the waiter had *it coming to him*. Coats were left hanging on the back of their chairs as before, but everyone switched places at the table. The waiter showed up with all the drinks ordered, looked at them at the table, and said ------- "Hmmmmmmmm! I see you've switched seats! Let's see -- you get --- " And he delivered the correct drink to the correct person, and made no mistake. When he took their order for food, there was NO question, as to whether he needed an *order pad* or not!. My brother (being an honest person), told me about this (shaking his head at how good this guy was). And also told me that this waiter got a tip that was about the same price as the meal! They (at the meal), were MOST impressed with this guy's memory.
  8. Hey there Roy -- Have a good one!!!

    My Generation

Regardless of who is singing them -- lyrics are timeless. :)
  12. I, for one, wish that twi could be THE MINISTRY THESE FOLKS KNOW TO BE. but I guess that just wasn't in the cards dealt, eh?? The Amish Folk walk the Talk. Twi just talks, while stumbling. These folks took time out of their own personal grief -- to comfort the family of the killer. What would twi do?? Right ----- (I don't have to say it -- you filled in the blank correctly) After re-reading this story -- I'm almost ready to move there, and learn what these folks have to offer. If this isn't love in action -- nothing is.
  13. Cheat sheets are handy ---- No doubt. If I'm ABSOLUTELY STUMPED -- I'll use them. But it is really a treat to try to figure this stuff out on your own. :) No genius here in this ball park --- but it's fun to get something right -- sans *outside help*.
  14. Jonny -- here's a tune for you ---- .I know John Moore (the picker on the left). He has this amazing habit of looking EVERYWHERE (except at his mandolin stings), While he picks!!
  15. You're talking about these deer here --- Right??
  16. The answer I got seemed to focus mostly on the fact that I do not believe Jesus to be the same as the Father, and that I don't believe he (Jesus) preexisted before he was physically born. I think they called me an Adoptionist (or something like that). I should have copied it to paste it. So I don't remember if I'm a heretic, or not! :D (I'll take this again tomorrow --when I'm not tired!!)
  17. Let me add my 2 cents in here too. Using the reasoning I have seen here, I should expect to walk into a movie theater, and see the movie for free. I should be able to go to the local grocery store, and pay nothing for my groceries. I should be able to heat my home, without worrying about paying for the natural gas bill. Preposterous?? You bet it is. Some folks *make merchandise* of God's word. I can agree with that. But (imo) CES hasn't done that. Whether you agree with their teachings or not ----- they aren't in it for the money. Their work on One God and One Lord is an EXCELLENT piece of writing. Docvic's Jesus Christ is not God reads like a kindergarten book, compared to theirs. Should they charge for the work, time, and effort that went into it?? Certainly. Just as the actor in the movie expects payment, for the entertainment. Just as the grocer expects payment, for the food, and just as the city expects payment -- for the gas that heats my house in the winter-time. I (for one) have NO PROBLEM with someone asking for money, in return for something that they have invested time and work into.

Get your needs and your pick parallel!!! Hey -- here's hoping you get it. Meebe if'n yer lucky ---- He'll show up with a friend of his, sing THIS SONG, and then sign it and hand it over to you. (If the Guild guitar in this video is the one being given away, I'm truly jealous of whomever it is that gets it!!!)
  22. I post here because if I didn't ---- I'd have time to shave. ;) Seriously --- GSC is the twi we thought we once knew. Got the same mix of folks, same mix of experiences, same differences (remember the WOW field???!!!), and on and on and on. This here is the family we should of had back then.
