Lunchtime For the Ravens, Or, Scatter Boys Or we're all Gonna Die!
dmiller replied to J0nny Ling0's topic in Open
Oh -- and if you're wondering how that ship got under that bridge, the entire center span rises into the air -- thus the name of the Lift Bridge. Here's a ship headed from the bay out into Lake Superior, to shores unknown. -

Glad y'all liked it. It's the Blatnik bridge. :) To the right of the bridge is the St. Louis River. (picture taken from Minney-soda looking towards Wisconsin). To the left of the bridge, is the St. Louis Bay. Here's a pic of a Saltie (ocean going freighter) headed towards the Blatnick. It just entered the St. Louis Bay from Lake Superior, under this other bridge --- That's the bay the ship is on, and Lake Superior is on the back side of the Lift Bridge. The two bridges are about 3/4 of a mile apart from each other. -

Cool stow-ry! We have flying rats here too, but we call them seagulls! We do get our share of eagles though. Coming back into Minney-soda once from Wisconsin over this bridge --- there was a big bald eagle hovering about 50 feet above the span, surveying the traffic below (me included). -
I missed today's game. Out doing things around town, then listening to the live GSC radio broadcast. Totally spaced out the game! (I could have at least listened in the truck). Congrats to the Red Sox!

I guess I don't get it. Well -- yes I do, but it's hard to fathom. If you're *called to the ministry*, you're called. Period. A title does NOT a "Dr./ Minister" make. This here is fraught with the possibility for disaster. This is (imo) just like a New Year's Eve resolution. A.) decision made; B.) two weeks of adherence; C.) two more weeks of good intentions; D.) Well -- there's always next year. I'm not trying to minimize the commitment a person may have. However -- if they need to "learn after the fact" about the Holy Spirit, I'm guessing they weren't called in the first place. And the fact that these two will teach about the Holy Spirit, almost seems as if they are telling you how to minister. But I've been wrong before. Teaching before (or)/ after ordination. You just gotta *go to grow* (remember that one???), mentality. Their camp, their style, here ya go -- here's your certificate. I see this as a *rubber-stamp* ordination ---- void of authority or validity. Kit -- I'm glad these folks were there for you when you needed them. I CAN'T see where they have the authority to ordain. This is too much like the past, where a friend of mine (a devout atheist -- there's an oxymoron for you --- ) got a mail order *ordination* in order to escape the Viet-Nam war. It worked -- but he's no minister.

I rated the show as a Five star broadcast. (There was no *10* button). ;)

THIS LINK should get you there. :)

Suda -- I couldn't find it by number either. But I scrolled down the main page (Religion and Spirituality), and found it listed as GreaseSpot Radio. :)

Your teams are playing already, eh? Opening day here isn't until May 31st. A couple of the clients at the group home are chomping at the bit for it to start! Here's the page for the Duluth Huskies:

Yup, that they did. The series is tied at one each. Santana gave up a few. It was pretty much lifeless, until the top of the ninth.

Won't work, Chas. She wouldn't have to *believe* for a ride. ;) (sorry --- that came to my fingertips before I could hit delete!!)

The first record of God speaking to Eve ---- is Genesis 3:16. Hmmmm Another 3:16!!!
-
No --- God told Adam that. (Gen. 2:16, 17). As is common between husbands and wives (even these days) --- Adam must've done a POOR job in the communication department!

Meebe we here at GSC could send a *prominent pro-pfal poster* to expound the *virtues* of docvic to her for those 45 days! ;) Wait-a-minute --- that would make her prison experience so horrible, it would further drive her to drink, eh? Probably not a good idea.

Once more proving that the lifestyle of the rich and famous, includes lunacy leniency perks. Saw the lawyer on a news show today, and he was whining about her being singled out. Yea. Right.

Perhaps this entire thread should have been in Doctrinal?? Dunno. Just speculating. ;) -
What's so "Fine" About Arts with no "Create"-ivity
dmiller replied to JavaJane's topic in About The Way
Heh heh heh! The front porch swing is a great place for creativity too! (Music that is --- guitar, banjo, or mandolin in your lap, fiddle under your chin -- peace and quiet -- that sort of thing). -
Santana?? Hey -- Now you can CLICK THE PIC NELLIE. :)

I spend $65.00 to $80.00 (minimum) on (4) fiddle strings. (And I have 3 good and working fiddles). Luckily -- I don't need them new more than once every year or so. I don't tip there at all. They have to order in the ones I want,, but it's nothing more than a phone call for them. About the breakfast waitress thing ----- I agree. Saw some statistics about tippers (best vs. worst). Don't remember the exact numbers, but the jist of it was --- The WORST TIPPERS were the Sunday *after church crowd*; and the BEST TIPPERS were the *just got out of the bar at closing time* crowd. Guess the church folks spent their money in the *horn-o-plenty*, and felt they had little to spare. While the bar hoppers put their's in a different *horn-o-plenty*, and were still in a giving mood.

The Church "Fathers"....... losers.
dmiller replied to Lone Wolf McQuade's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
Lone Wolf -- The Invisible Dan knows whereof he speaks. TAKE A LOOK AT SOME OF WHAT HE HAS TO SAY. Church Fathers (spoken by you and I), tend to be general. He (Invisible Dan) gets specific. :)
