OK, OK, OKayyyyyy!! I confess!! :( All those years ago (it was at an ROA after a late night teaching), I thought I stepped in a puddle going to my tent, when in reality -- it was a poodle I stepped on. I haven't had closure for this for all these many years. I feel so DOG GONE GUILTY!!!! Given the sentiments here -- I wonder if I should continue. (sniff, sniff, sniff.) That poor thing was no match for my number 12 boot that came down on it. I heard a squeal -- but I thought it was someone nearby speaking in tongues. I thought I stepped in a puddle, when in truth I stepped on a poodle. Regardless -- there was this cocoa colored goo on the bottom of my shoe. I scraped it off (I'm not sure where --- but somewhere between the House of His Healing Presence, and the Wow burger stand), and I went to my tent to sleep off the teaching I had heard that evening. (andifyoubelieveTHAT -- I'vegotabridgeforsale!!!)

But I think it will -- since I added the http:// in front of each site you mentioned. :) (edited to say -- I see they are all underlined now, meaning that if you click on them -- they will take you to the site in question). The Gunflint Trail could use some rain, right about now. There are forest fires in the BWCA burning places I used to work at, in 1975. Ham Lake Fires

Heh! If *pro* is the opposite of *con*. What's the opposite of progress?? Thus the *Doolittle* monicker. :)

Ahhhhh. I wish it had been a thread war instead. Feelings hurt, no lives lost. That sort of thing. Now I'm sorry I asked. :(
-
Excuse me -- someone with the name of Doolittle is going for the title of American Idol???????? (Shouldn't this thread be in Politics and 'Tacks, instead????) :biglaugh: (Sorry -- I just HAD to say it!) ;)

Thread war, or otherwise??

Hmmmm. I don't get that inference at all. Hmmmm. I don't get that inference at all. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You're welcome to your opinions as (I hope), I am to mine. Whatever the reason for *non-sharing* is a decision that was made. Do I agree with the lack of sharing to those who partner with them?? No -- I do not. But I don't call them names either. Nor do I make assumptions about character (or the lack thereof). The answers I got over the phone and through e-mail, were both real and informative. I was merely making the observation (in answer to a question), that nothing has been made public yet (to my knowledge). I hope that your responses weren't based on my post alone, but I'm guessing they were -- fueled by twi memories. As I said -- you're welcome to your own opinions. (Yea -- I left out the *bad name* on purpose in the first quote. It kinda stuck in the craw, and I couldn't type it. Nor did I correct the speeling of John Schoenheit's name either, in the second quote -- also on purpose.) (ediited to add ~~~~~~~~~~~~~)

I've yet to hear anything publically. Nothing on tape, nor anything in the magazine. I've answers from personal e-mails (initiated by myself), but if I didn't initiate them, I wonder if I would have heard. Does that answer your question?

Rocky -- you forgot to add a link documenting your claim. Now HOW do I KNOW that : A.) She was gorgeous; B.) On the Letterman show; and C.) her initials are JF ??? You've provided nothing but hearsay, and undocumented at that. :) (Just messing with ya -- but with a grain of truth as well).

Shucks Garth -- 50 is young (at least younger for some of us here). (And the only ads I see at the bottom of the page -- are dealing with another topic entirely).

Sudo -- have you been hanging out at JWO again??? Some posters change a light bulb by just holding it up --- and letting the forum revolve around THEM!

Uff-da!! What a way to remember that trip. :( There was a school project done up here quite a few years ago, by a college student. It involved passivity, popcorn, and seagulls. ENTIRE ARTICLE HERE. (the steel girders you're seeing behind him, is the lift bridge in the earlier post). -
The article looked complete enough to me.

Here's hoping your special day is a good one!! Here's a two cow salute for you!!!
