  5. I've got a computer, errrrr JACK, but I'm not gonna talk, errrrrr, Help you!!!!
  6. Yea -- I think that's it. I kinda picked up on that as well. I just went through the Seed of the Serpent chapter, as well as the Unforgivable Sin chapter. Since you address docvic's teachings on those items (and other's in the book) -- yea -- it could be considered *wayish*. But you did an impeccable job of documenting/ quoting/ referencing/ etc. (Unlike any work THEY (twi) have produced !!) May I say -- You did not produce just a *literary meal*. You SUPER-SIZED the thing. (More to *chew* on there, than I thought!) Thanks!
  7. Let's all raise our glass, to a favorite Lass, Who's birthday it is today. A la prochaine, who rarely complains, and though Canadian, never says *eh?*. So lift up your grog, for our dancing frog, And quote some thoughtful line, About beauty or years, or laughter and tears, but end up with *til the next time *. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALA. :)

    Happy Feats

Was on another site tonight, and saw this posted. (The guy definitely knows his moves!!!)
  9. Mr. H --you need a CLASS!, a green card to sign, a pulpit --- errrrr, I mean a PLATFORM to say ---- THUS SAYETH THE SQUIRREL!! (Toss in a bible verse -- like Rev. 3:15, for emphasis) --- I know thy POSTS, ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. You need to remind folks they have to post QUICK!! SOON!! RIGHT NOW!! (Job 9:25) Now my days are swifter than a post: they flee away, they see no good. Now --- with you being a squirrel and all -- New Nut'sville, Ohio would be a perfect place to *chatter away*. Go for it!
  10. Polar Bear -- (I didn't hear it personally) -- but I did hear a friend of mine tell about it. He and his wife are popular folk musicians here. They were playing a gig, and while taking a break after one of their sets, they overheard a coupla teen-agers talking about Paul McCartney, and the Beatles. When one of the teen-agers heard the two names connected, she said "Aren't the Beatles the group Paul was in before Wings???" :asdf: (edited for speeling --- grrrrrr!)
  11. You know what??? I think you're right!! ;) Welcome to GreaseSpot!

    Happy Feats

Pretty good for a white guy! :)
  13. One Of My Favorite Tunes. Sadly --- Tony (the guitar picker), will never sing again. He can barely speak. Throat cancer. :(
  14. Here's a story for you --- I forget which year it was now (early 1980's), but Takit came to Minneapolis to play a gig. I had heard that the very beginning of their show was awesome. In other words -- something NOT to be missed. Dean E. used to be my twig leader back in Indiana; he was a part of that group, and I wanted to be there. I worked a 9 to 5 job then, and couldn't get off early. My (then) wife was able to leave work that day, and go down early with the others from here. I couldn't, and neither could D@n@ Lynn (I think I remember that correctly) Minneapolis is 150 (+) miles from Duluth -- with freeway all the way there. Back then the speed limit was 55 mph. She (Dana) had to work until the same quitting time I did (5 pm). It was up to me to get myself (and her), to the concert on time (7:30 pm), if we were to get there at the beginning of it all. The short of the long of it all is --- I was doing about 85+ MPH, after I picked her up from work -- when we hit the interstate/ freeway, hell-bent-for-leather (as it were). Back then, speeds on the inter-state's were so RIDICULOUSLY SLOW -- One truck driver (seeing me coming up fast in his mirror) --- actually opened his driver's door, in an attempt to slow me down, as I was passing him in the fast lane. We made it to Minneapolis just fine. I ALWAYS ask for directions, if I am unsure. I forget where Takit was playing that night, but it was a prominent venue, so I was directed in the correct direction immediately. Again ---the short of the long of it is -- Not only did I find the place they were playing --- but as I pulled up in front of the joint ---- someone was vacating a parking space, and guess who decided to *Takit*?? Needless to say -- I saw the beginning of their concert. And yes --- It was worth it!!!
  15. JavaJane --- PM WhiteDove. He sent me a copy of Takit on a CD recently. :)
  16. (P.S. ---- Needless to say --- they have shot straight through the stratosphere, and have blown the Bluegrass world wide open). :)
  17. A REAL family band . Mom's on mando, Dad's on bass, and the kids shine brilliantly! :) Their name is Cherryholmes. (Oh --click the pic for the song). ;)
  18. The lady is SITTING (in the first pic) -- and the second pic is of Mt. Everest (the*top of the world*), So the tune is Sitting On Top Of The World. (Bluegrass tunes -- I can relate to). ;)
  19. That's a pic of Jerusalem, and a ridge. As in .Given the video I found with the mandolin picker's *towel* tucked in his rear pocket, it might've been called *The toilet paper trailing from my behind ---* Or something!!
