Hmmmmm. I've gotten as far as that page (the quote above) ------ so this comment might be answered in the coupla pages I see I haven't read, BUT: Oldies -- Did (or did not) the Pharoah give orders to the Isrealites and Egypt, when Joseph was second in command over all??? No -- He didn't. He left it up to his second in command (Joseph). I know you MUST have heard about types, and anti-types in the Word. How one fore-shadows the other as an example of what is to come. Pharoah and Joseph were the type, and God and Jesus were the anti-type. Aaron (as High priest) was the type, Jesus (as High priest) was the anti-type. Noah (DEAD for three days and nights in the belly of the *whale*) was the type, Jesus (DEAD for three days and three nights in the belly of the earth), was the anti-type. BOTH saw resurrection from the dead. So my question to you (and all others with your mindset is ----) WHY would God relegate responsibility, if He could do it Himself??? In some cases -- Yes -- it was up to Him. In others -- Not on your life. And --- THAT, (IMO) IS WHERE TWI MISSED THE BOAT. Sure -- Pray to God, renew your mind to His word, and all will be well. Where's the praying to Jesus, who was delegated the authority to *Heal All Hurts*???? Is He LESS significant than Joseph was in the times of the Pharoah?? I don't think so, do you? So --What's wrong with praying to (or expecting answers from) Jesus?? God gave him a job to do. Ya wanna see Him in the *unemployment* line???

If you have a truck, can't you do it yourself??? ;)

Jonny's right about the passport into (and especially out of) Canada. It's a bit *mucked up* right now (because of the backlog (sp?) in D.C., but my understanding is (read IMO here), one needs AT LEAST a receipt showing they have applied for a passport. I can't go and visit friends of mine in Thunder Bay, Ontario (these days), without that piece of paper. I wouldn't be allowed back into the U.S. And that's by automobile. I'm thinking the flying laws are more stringent. Make SURE you check out the passport laws first. :) *The Times -- They Are A'Changin* :(

Actually -- this is a statement I can agree with, (one of the few out of the many docvic made). His statement *believing works for saint and sinner alike*, is one I DON'T agree with, but (imo) the above statement has some sort of merit. Most churches (well -- at least the ones I've attended in the past), use that exact thinking to *prove* that Jesus is God. I don't think He is, but that's beside the point. What they think of the trinity is their business, not mine. What I think of the trinity is my business, not theirs. But I've seen this *circular reasoning* espoused in many denominations. I hung out with a Messianic Jewish group for about a year --- spending every Friday night at their bible study 2 or 3 years ago. I guess Messianic groups have their own differences of opinion within themselves -- but the one I attended -- Pastor Stan was adamant that Jesus was not God. He did however believe that Jesus *pre-existed* before being physically born. Whenever that topic came up -- he always looked MY way, because he knew where I stood on it! Regardless of all that --- I think docvic's statement carries some merit, since I've seen it *in manifestation* in hallowed halls, on the holy day. ;) Some really great comments and observations here in the responses! Dooj and Abi --- :eusa_clap:

Day late and a dollar short! Just saw this here.

A co-worker of mine once got a collect call from the local county jail, without the caller being identified. But -- she was NOT asked to do any of the things you mentioned. (Such as) --- set up an account, give a mastercard number, etc. We figured it was from an ex co-worker of ours, fired for stealing from the clients. She's helped pull him out of trouble before (from his 20-ish year old *youthful indiscretions*), so we figured that this was from him (again). She didn't return the call -- so we'll never know. But she was NOT asked for *sensitive* financial info either. That would've been a red flag to me then, as it is now.

If You Could Pick the President of TWI From Greasespot...

I was going to say something -- but in deference to your post -- I'll refrain. (I never knew John --but from all that I've heard about him, he was one of the *Good Ones*.) -
What's wrong with this one??? :)

Woops -- I forgot to give the link to PhotoBucket. Mea Culpa. :( PhotoBucket
-
Wrdsandwrks -- It's pretty easy if you have a PhotoBucket account. Sign up with them (it's free), save whatever pic you have to your desktop, and then go to PhotoBucket to upload. From there (once you've uploaded a pic you like), you can select the *img* option that will (if copied), paste into this and any other site with the picture intact. Hope that helps. :)

Hmmmm. *Crop* is a good word to describe our benevolent dictator! ;)

Sushi --- down below the reply screen (when you reply to a topic), there's a *button* that says post options. Click on that. You'll be given three choices. Pick (click on) "Raw Linebreak Mode". THAT'S the one that let's you *embed* here at GSC. :)How it works -- I haven't a clue -- but work it does, when it comes to embedding a YouTube video. :)

Hand therapy!! Numbness and tingling discussed. Been a problem with me for years. :( Need to read over the (imo) sage advice here more closely. :)

22 years ago, I made the cover of a local magazine, promoting a fiddle contest we held that year. :) (sorry --- no centerfold!) :P (I look a little bit different these days. I've grown a beard since then, and it's got a lot of gray in it!) ;)
