  1. Did someone mention Steve Martin???
  2. Brushstroke --- click on my signatures, at the bottom of my posts. Especially the first one, where I quote Paw. *Nail That Catfish* is a simple fiddle tune, but speaks volumes concerning the topic at hand. These (in the video) are all friends of mine from here in Minnesota, who are all non-twi, but all of them have a HEALTHY respect for indepence. I'll let it go at that. :) (edited for spelling. Yea --- I care about that stuff).

    Guitar Talk

No. :) I've spent about 200 bucks recently to upgrade my banjo. (Yea --- I know it's not a guitar -- but a serious case of BGAS (Banjo Gear Aquisition Syndrome). I found the guy (on another site) who I originally bought the banjo from, back in Southern Indiana. It was/ is a 1962 Bowtie Gibson RB - 250 Mastertone. I didn't like the neck, or the inlays on it. So I got a different one from Gibson. Yup -- you can do that with banjos! :) Dennis (the guy I bought the banjo from) told me; he bought the banjo from Bobby Helms, of the Helm's Family band. The Helms Family Band, is the one you hear in all the Hallmark commercials at Christmas time. Bobby bought this banjo, and learned exactly ONE tune on it. He learned Cripple Creek on it it just to please his dad. I've picked this thing for 33 years, and just recently found a banjo web site with 26,000 plus members. Yea --- scary, I know! But a lot of Pro's are members there, and there's TONS of good advice. Plus advice about what (banjo) products are good, and which aren't. Some things suggested for purchace, I chose not to. Others *rang true* for me, so I forked over the cash. I switched out the neck 30 some years ago, but these days ---- >>> recently got a new capo, tail-piece, and my own brand/ guage of strings for the thing. Oh yea -- new tone ring and better finger picks too. It's starting to sound REALLY righteous!! This thing has ALWAYS had a monstrous sound to it --- but given the suggestions from others, I've managed to increase both the tone and volume of it. :) I take two tylenol (nowdays) before I pick. It's that explosive. It's a never ending journey, eh?? ;) There is ALWAYS something new to try.
  4. Had to add --- It bugs me to NO END, that folks hang onto this guy like God On A Stick, or something. He and his Org have ruined more lives than you can shake a stick at. Yea, yea, yea --- they taught some good stuff, but it's FAR outweighed by the bad. So -- accuse me all you want of *infidelity*. Then ask if I give a ****. The short answer is NO. I'm a grown-up now.
  5. Well --- count me SOLIDLY in the *carrion-picker camp* (if there IS such a thing). If he (docvic) was a *no name, uninfluential person, with zero influence, or social impact* person, Yea -- I agree -- we'd be picking at bones, and needlessly so. BUT HE WASN'T!!! He spawned and left an evil empire behind him, that (sadly) still exists. The Org is STILL disrupting folks lives today with all the gold plated B.S. that they are SO familiar with dispensing, while ignoring that crap themselves. Picking on docvic?? Naww. I don't think so. Criticizing his assinine attempt to form a *ministry*? Yes. Criticizing his lack of morals? Ya -- you betcha. Criticizing his copius amounts of alcohol consumtion?? Yes. Criticizing his criticism of his *vocal opponents*, so he smelled sweet? Again ---- yes. Oh no --- don't accuse me of picking on poor old vpw. You'll find me front and center in the fight to eradicate (not vpw so much), but what he left behind, that others have taken up as a cause *worthy* (cough!!) to *share to the nations*. It has sucked the life out of so many. Like a cancer --- it keeps on keeping on. So -- docvic is dead. He's been worm food for 23 years. I've no problems with a dead man. Ain't no way he's gonna do anything soon. It's the Org he left behind I have problems with. Like I said -- if docvic was a no name non-descript from Timbucktu ---- All our railing/ complaining/ testimonies would be in vain. But he wasn't, so our's isn't. VPW lovers --- PUT THAT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT! If you want to get rid of evil -- attack the root. We've done that. Soon the rest of the *tree* will die. That's a hope I have.
  6. Ever the editor, eh??
  7. IHOP church??? Is that the International House Of Praise church?? (And do they serve pancakes after the service??)
  8. And here's a clip of one of his (clean) commentaries about: BASEBALL AND FOOTBALL Classic!
  9. Hmmmmm. This is deteriorating fast!! Ya know -- I think I'll stop right here. :P You did say keep it clean, eh?? ;)

  12. I was in U of L. Never got past Thessalonians. (Left twi after I got that series). What I have is pretty anemic. Romans was my next goal, but didn't have the money. (ABS --- *BS* dont'cha know). Not sure why you want this stuff.
  13. Ya know --- I agree with Excie's assessment. Who cares?? What difference does it make (really) what one person thinks about the $h!t that happened? Is the opinion of that person better than anyone else's who went through it too?? Granted -- she was *high profile*, had a great voice, and sang with all her heart, but so what??? A lot of folks could offer opinions, sans *star* power. I'll pay attention to threads like this when Henry Boloko's opinions are considered. :)

    Song of the moment

I can't seem to get enough of Sonny either. A different Sonny though. Sonny Osborne, on his 1934 Gibson Granada Mastertone banjo. He can't pick anymore --- but this is him in his prime:
  16. Gambling??? Just goes to show you that IF the (cough, cough, hack wheeze), LAW OF BELIEVING were a VIABLE entity, twi would've promoted gambling to the skies. After all -- it was all about ABUNDANT SHARING, eh??? They knew you couldn't win (and thusly ABS) on a consistent basis, if you threw your money down a casino rathole instead of to them instead. Much better to give your $$$ to the furtherance of perversion and sedition, as promoted and popularized by twi.
  17. The video of this can be found ----- >>> HERE!. If this had been a part of LEAD --- I never would have signed up for it! ;)

    betrayal

Geo is NOT a jerk, not by any stretch of the imagination. :) Dakota --- It would be nice if you know whereof you speak, before you do. Don't judge a man (or woman) by a post or so on the internet, eh?? You may not know Geo, but I do. I'd like to repeat my first sentence of this post --- but that would be redundant. I hope your reading skills took it in the first time.
  20. Another Powerful Song May all your journey's be true, and; Happy Birthday. :)

    nip/tuck

I shudder at the sight of naked sharpened steel pointed my way. If you're a movie star, it might be feasible to get ratings. Otherwise ----- >>> no.
  22. Today --- $3.82 (USD) at Sam's Club. Everywhere else in town here is about $3.95 per gallon.
  23. The guy was an @ssho!e posing as a human being, and a superlative one at that! Mike, Oldies, MotorHead, (and other's) --- I've got a question (if I may) ----- >>> What THE HELL GOOD DID HE PREACH, THAT OUTWEIGHS THIS TESITMONY?? Examine your premises. I'm thinking you will find them flawed. And severely so. (Unless your head is stuck so far in the sand, that you can see nothing.)
