A Conservative Surprise Re: Gay Marriage
dmiller replied to Juan Cruz's topic in The Birds and the Bees
Imbus -- from my perspective, Abigail IS thinking for herself already. All that was mentioned can be found in the book "When Jesus Became God" by Richard Rubenstein. If vpw was being cited, I would have to agree with you -- but since he wasn't, I don't. If we read "LIVING IN SIN" by JSS, I bet you would not criticize. What Abigail stated is historical fact, and not the presumptive postulations of a small town preacher trying to hit the "big time". --> -

yes. Happy MD . (Good to see you back CW) :)--> -
JT -- amen to that. :(--> Sign em up for the class, take the money, and when they get "fractious" -- get rid of them like an old shoe or something. -->

This is a "true-ism". The law firm probably couldn't care less about the bickerings, unless they were fairly confident of winning.

Happy Birthday Sunday Donner !!!!!!!!!!!!!
dmiller replied to dougie73's topic in Birthdays and Anniversaries
Donner -- Amen to that. :(--> Reminds me of a song that has a chorus that goes like this - "older and wiser was what I said I'd be someday, One out of two, ain't bad" (Lynn Morris Band) :D--> :D--> -
I always pronounced "exegeomai" as ex-ayh-gay-oh-my, and "pleroo" as play-raw-oh. Shoulda gone corps, and learned coy-rect pro-noun-see-ation. --> :D-->

Oak -- I remember that thing!! Think I even had a copy of it one time -- but if I did then, I don't now.

Digger -- Garth is right. We all have that "bug in the butt" too, but look at how many millions ($$) are not making their way to twi coffers now because of GS, off-shoots, etc. And also think how they are depleting their bank account through the legal action already happening. With less membership these days, they have to dig into their own pockets (more than before) to pay for it.

woops -- yes she did mention the date. 5/3. Hope it was a great beginning to your week, and not just another "blue Monday". :)--> -

Psalm 71 -- I'll be praying for you and this situation. It'll turn out OK. Sounds like you are taking all the "correct" steps to CYA. 7 other purchases pending? Again -- Krys is right. Notify the cops too. Everything on "public record" helps your case. -
Thomas Heller Happy Birthday 5/9

Thomas Heller -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! :)--> :)--> Hope you enjoy it "throughly"!! (from the "inside out") -
{{{{WYTEDUV}}}} HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! :)--> :)--> You have yourself a great one. Remember -- some of us are still praying for you and yours, so take it easy, and enjoy "your day". And that is an order! :P-->

A Conservative Surprise Re: Gay Marriage
dmiller replied to Juan Cruz's topic in The Birds and the Bees
Absolutely -- try to change man's laws to suit your own ends, and you will end up in jail. "Sorry officer -- I know the speed limit is 30 here in town, but I'm in a hurry..." "Sorry judge -- I know I need insurance on my car to drive it legally, but I'm under-payed, and can't afford it..." and the most classic changing the rules "excuse" I have ever heard from a Northwest Airlines pilot found drunk,in the cockpit of his airliner, getting ready for take off -- "I'm alcoholic. I need a few drinks to function right". --> Yea -- there IS such a thing as truth, both physically and spiritually. Changing the physical truth, ends you up in a lot of trouble with the law. And then...? What is the name of that "figure of speech" where one statement is voiced, implying the other which is not said?? It certainly applies here. -

Was your nametag really indicative of your faithfulness to God?
dmiller replied to Hills Bro's topic in About The Way
Danteh1 -- the Weenie roast is just that, but will be at a state park, not a coffee shop. Don't think it will be called the rock. This gathering is more about WATER! :D--> And nametags would only help the "friendly rangers". :(--> -

I for one "gave it up" hoping not to "die", but ended up there anyway. You bet there was "absolute authority" in operation -- 100% capacity, 24/7.
-
Oldies -- oh we were held at "gunpoint" alright. Maybe not a loaded .45 point at our heads, but something equally dangerous pointed at us with the demand to "give it up, or die". -->
-
I gotta agree with that. The old adage "give them an inch, and they will become the ruler of your life" were never truer words -- especially when applied to twi.
