The Blue Angels are back, to do an air show for the locals here in Duluth. Some local *peaceniks* are spewing garbage about the *military*. Gotta luv the military, that gives these other bozos the right to protest, eh?? ;) The 6 jets were out practicing today, for tomorrow's performance. 4 of them in formation (at damn near tree top level) went over the group home I work at. I hollared at 2 of the clients ---to get moving so we could go watch. We ended up in the Wal-mart parking lot, with a stupendous view of all they were doing/ performing. This didn't take place here, but it's a good representation of their show; and much like what we saw today, and will see tomorrow! :) (edited to add --- and some folks tell me I'm SPECIAL, cause I work at a group home! Yup. Uhh Huh. Sure. Ya, you betcha!!) Y'all don't know what you're missing (jobwise)!! ;)

Actually --- No. It's been 40 years since I read that book, but the one thing I remember about it is -- (somewhere in the pages), folks went to the river to meet the two men there, convinced they were *spiritual*, just because they thought so, when in reality they weren't. :)

I don't know why (haven't thought of this novel in YEARS), but some of what you said reminded me of: SIDDHARTHA, by Herman Hesse.

Combination --- Lol!!! Too true! Hey there Shaz. :) When I first saw the green card, I assumed it was all about *bible*, and nothing else. I figured the *truth from error* meant bible verses, interpretation, yada, yada. It wasn't until (much) later that I discovered it encompassed much more than that. :( Perhaps the original *truth from error* statement was meant as what I originally thought it to be. Perhaps not. It certainly became different in meaning the longer I was involved. Legalistic became the order of the day, whereas (imo) grace once abounded. For what it's worth --- I still see things in black and white. However ---- These days, I'm willing to consider shades of gray. ;)

.Tzaia makes a good point. I'd forgotten that myself. JAL was fired, he never quit. It was April 1st (forget the exact year now --- 1986?), and How@rd @llen was the one who did it. JAL admitted to his own indiscretions, sins, whatever, publically and went on to rebuild twi --- renamed CES with a few changes (though not many). There's not a lot of difference between the two org's, although there is some.

Ha!! Those pics remind me of the late 1970's early 1980's, here in Duluth. The limb leader at the time was John-Somebody-or-other (don't remember his last name now). and he came to Duluth, and brought his pistol with him (friendly like -- don'tcha know), to go shooting with some other folks (*twi family*) while here. Everyone ended up on the firing range --- and one of the locals here gave his wife his magnum .45 caliber pistol (with a hair trigger), so she could target practice. As luck would have it (woops!! can I say that here??!), a mosquito, or something started buzzing around her head as she was lining up the target. Waving the pistol in the air, trying to swat the offending insect, she swung around in a complete 360, and everyone on the practice range dropped to the ground immediately!! (Including the limb leader!!) :D I really wish I could remember that limb leader's last name. He was here in Minney-soda just before Duke Cl@rk. A barrel of laughs, quality guy --- through and through!

Mark and Avoid (from twi) was a direct result of YOU, not following THEIR edicts. (If you don't realize that -- I'm just blowing smoke here.) :( This board (while endeavoring to tell the other side of the story), welcomes opposing viewpoints, along with what actually happened. At first I tended to think so also --- however Groucho brought up a valid point. We (the GSC community) have NO objection to opposing viewpoints aired here. The objection is to the personal attacks, doubts, etc. that have occurred ALL TOO FREQUENTLY when some decide to bare their soul, and tell their story. Suddenly they are in the *Hot Seat*, and the burden of proof is on them for a personal experience that they went through, and someone else doubts it. We owe the doubters NOTHING. When posting negative aspirations against those who tell their story --- for the common good of others who were in the same (or similar) situations, they breed contempt, doubt, and wild speculation against those who have spoken. M & A??? No. Not by a LONGGGGGG shot. Getting rid of a cancerous growth?? Yea -- you betcha. If M & A were the order of the day here --- you wouldn't see all the threads about pfal there in the doctrinal section. Paw has been more than kind and tolerant of all here (myself included). Somehow I'm thinking it's time to *thin the herd*. When a person (male or female) calls into question a personal testimony made by another, and DEMANDS proof, names, dates, etc. --- I've 4 words for that poster: HIT THE ROAD -- JACK!!!

I've never had an anonymous name out here on the web. It's ALWAYS been dmiller. (I'd feel remiss if I took another name!!) For what it's worth ---- I FIRST got a computer in 2003, and it took me 10 months to discover the internet. Back then --- the computer was just an expensive CD player. I had NO use for it other than that. I got a free disc from AOL for internet, and decided to give it a try. Guess what the FIRST thing was I looked up?? Yup. The Way International. The first site I was directed to was No Way Out. I found stories there of former folks I knew (like R!ck P@ny@rd) who was convicted in Colorado for embezzlement of funds from some widow (or something -- I forget now). R!ck used to be a SOMEBODY back in Indiana, as the southern Indiana LEADER. He was there the same time Kris Skedgell was there. Yea --- same town. 1975. It was an eyeopener to me too, when I first started seeing all the *dirty laundry* being posted on the internet too. I'm like you --- I NEVER saw any of this happening in my area, twig, branch, etc. Because it didn't happen to you, or if it's now News that you haven't heard of ------ >>> Don't worry about it. They weren't, or wouldn't have been *preaching to the choir*, so it would have been futile to do so. Given the mind control going on, everyone involved in twi tended to believe *leadership* over some *goof-ball* who was spouting anti-way stuff, no matter how benign or inflammatory. Look at what they (twi) did to John Schoenheit for MERELY publishing a work saying that adultery is WRONG. Not only did they smear his name, call him possessed, and toss him out --- they (twi) ALSO said that anyone who read his paper, or had it in their possession, would get possessed by *debbil spirits* too. Damage control at hdqtrs swung into HIGH GEAR anytime something like this surfaced, and you can bet your bottom dollar that it NEVER was complimentary to the one making accusations. Matter of fact -- the one making the accusation was made out to be the *criminal*, regardless of how sound and accurate their claims might have been. So please --- don't go the *You are as guilty as THEY are* route. It won't wash. Mrs. Wierwille (even) said of docvic ------- >>> "He was a mean, mean man". And she said that after his death also. I don't know which twi YOU were in (twi-1, twi-2, or twi-3), but I was in twi-1. Opening your mouth to voice oppositiion meant IMMEDIATE M & A. Ya know --- this says it all. It really does. Some are quick to speak (type), and let the chips fall where they may --- without thinking of the results of their actions. On a side note --- that sky-light you put in the house here had to be re-flashed by the guys who put my new roof on last year. They couldn't believe it was done 20 some years ago. Ya gotta luv the fact that some folks here are allowed to post their suspicions of, refutation of, and denial of what others have gone through twice. Once during the original incident, and then again in the re-telling thereof. Paw has been more than fair. When folks are allowed to say things here at an ex-twi site that are pro-twi, that is even more than fair. It's magnanimous on the part of Paw, and the Mods. With that being said --- there seems to be a growing tendency (amongst certain posters), to *step up the attack* on folks who post something *anti-wierwille* by those who are still in love with him and the doctrine he taught. If THEY (and I use that word in the anonymous sense), choose to defend docvic and pfal ---- Paw and the mods have seen fit to allow them to do so. However -- when THEY decide to post negatively attacking another's PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, the line has to be drawn. (Just my imo). THEY have no respect for human dignity, nor do THEY care about the feelings or condition of the person to whom it actually happened, nor do THEY think about other's, but are rather still stuck in the same ideological rut we were all in (at one time or another). THEY are only concerned about miniscual crap like proof, details, time, place, who, what, when, where, how, while entirely ignoring what the person telling the story has just laid on the line for them (and all others) to read. I have NO USE for folks like this --- not in real life, and CERTAINLY not on this site. I suggest allowing them to post on the *In the Kitchen Forum*, but nowhere else. THEY are a cancer, given the accusations and scoffings offered so *abundantly*. You don't live with cancer --- you do your best to eradicate it.
