  1. Imbus -- very good. :)--> :)-->
  2. woops! opened my mouth and changed feet on that one!
  3. Just got back from www.theway.com -- no sign of a bookstore at the site. perhaps I am not spiritual enough to perceive it. :D-->
  4. Guess I better wander over to their site, and take a look-see. :D--> Wonder what they are offering for sale? --> Any stuff from twi-1, or are they still in "denial" about the early years? -->
  5. Looking good!! :)--> Again -- congratulations. ;)--> Seeing that white tassle by the side of your head there, makes me think of myself with the white/gray in the hair I have left. :(--> Ceptin' I can't remove it as easily as you can by just removing a hat! :D-->
  6. HA! :D--> Reminds me of the bumper sticker that says -- "I still miss my ex, but my aim is improving". :D--> :D-->
  7. Hope -- I miss the ROA also. I spent many a night there picking music in the fields with folks I had never met before then, and doing music that should have been recorded. It was that good. :)-->
  8. I miss the fine fellowship I had with many wonderful folks hundreds of miles away from HQ. Once was a time we were a family, and yes -- I miss that.
  9. What I think is, a life is a life reguardless how young it may be. vpw had his head up his ***, and (imho) was doing nothing more than the typical CYA tactics to protect himself. Somebody give me a verse from OT, or NT, that says it is OK to kill a living being for "convienience sake".
  10. Doug -- You were there then??? So was I! I was working a retail job at the time, and got off at 5 pm, and had to really haul a$$ to get there for the beginning of the show at 7:30. I did 150 miles in just under one and a half hours. I remember all the bad press the papers, etc., gave those guys from Takit, as well as the protesters out front. I walked into the theater, and there was some wanna-be-rock-and-roller telling Dean Ellenwood that he should be allowed on stage to "jam" with Takit. --> Dean was glad to see me (he used to be my twig leader back in Indiana), and used my being there to get rid of the wanna-be guy. :D--> Those were the days. :)-->
  11. The only negative things I encountered was from family back when the Jim Jones stuff was happening. They did not know much about twi, and were concerned that I might be involved with something similar. I was able to make them see that we were no "Jim Jones" outfit, and they were content. There has been over the years, "bad press" from the media, but I basically blew them off since (as others have already stated) they came across with a lot of accusations, and no proof to back up their claims.
  12. I thought I was the only one who said "Aw shucks" these days! :D--> :D--> :D-->
  13. Why is that? --> --> --> I was at PFAL 77, and I don't remember the lemonade. What did I miss?
  14. Linda -- yes I did misinterpret. I got my copy out to read, and you are right. Your reprimand is duely noted, and accepted! ;)-->
  15. I was at a CES function Sunday, and John S. was one of the teachers. He is doing great, and proud to still be standing for, and teaching about the Word, and it's Author. :)-->
  16. Steve! -- Yes. That is the same person. I can never remember the last name. --> Zixar -- Ha! :D--> Fiddlepicker comes from a magazine by the same name. It may or may not be in existance these days, but I remember the first time I saw the name, it sort of grated on me, then it grew on me. I too thought it an inappropriate way to describe fiddling at the time. I am not a "magi", or a "rabble rouser", or a "resident curmudgeon", or a Shaver of THE, but I do pick fiddle!
  17. ExCathedra -- thanks. That was kind of you to say what you said. (there is no smiley that adequately says what I wish to say in the way of "thanks"). ;)-->
  18. Hmmmmmmmm -- Maybe "Wires and Wood" would be more appropriate!! :D--> I have wayyyyyyy too much time on my hands tonight! :D-->
  19. Though I pick banjo, and other instruments as well, I would like to see a "Karma" listing as FiddlePicker Fiddle has the soul and substance that no other instrument can equal. It happens to be my favourite as well. :)--> Randy Howard, Shad Cobb, Kenny Baker, Jean Luc (whoever), Stephan Grapelli, Joshua Bell, and Sam Bush are my heroes. To hear them play is to hear God speaking thru Wires and Wood. If my "Karma" was FiddlePicker, I could die happy, knowing I was at least mentioned among the greats. :)--> But whatever -- as arthritic as my fingers are now, it'll never happen. Such is life. I really do believe in Paradise, and by God -- if Paradise is all it is cracked up to be -- I will be able to pick with the best. :)-->
  20. I am more comfortable with ex-twi than most folks I know. They (ex-twi) and I may not agree -- but hey -- we have both been through the same "mud puddle" of life, and can at least agree about what is not important. And as Igotout says -- that does not preclude us from forming new relationships, friendships, etc.
  21. Altho John was the author of this, and got M&A -- and fired because of it -- He spoke the truth about adultry. Tho I have not heard it first hand, I have heard from those who have heard it first hand that it was said that "anyone who reads this will open themselves to devil spirits. Come on -- reading a paper opens one up to daimon??????????? I don't think so. And I don't think you are quoting from the original paper that John S. wrote. I have a copy of the original here that I got back in the mid-'80's, and I am willing to bet he made NO concession to adultry in any way whatsoever. Pat posted the link he has on his site. I suggest you give it a look before you open your mouth and change feet. Oh -- God bless, and have fun. :)-->
  22. I stayed cause I had nowhere else to go, and at the time that was important to me. It finally dawned on me that it was better to have no place to go and leave, than it was to have error and stay.
  23. I want a dictionary like you have!!! Your's is ACCURATE! :D-->
