Go for two, Krys. After all he has been though, -- well, the extra nourishment might be nice! ;)-->
-
You would shave a man's beard?! Now I can't vote for "B" either. :)-->
-
:D--> Give me another 6 months here. I'm sure you'll find something!

That's why the "train says "I think I can", and Krys, I was just using that as an analogy. (sorry Excie!) :(--> :D--> Perhaps I should have used the "ugly duckling" instead. I did mention the choices in between: It is the in-between stuff that interests me. We have all been polarized, and found it to be distasteful. Perhaps the ugly duckling is more descriptive. Growing out of something NOT acceptable, and into something beautiful. Yea -- that, and given the BELIEVING EQUALS RECEIVING crap, I shoulda gone with the duck. --> The train that says "I think I can", must've been "believing". The "ugly duckling" that grew into a swan, just did it. Thanks Krys!! :)-->

Hiya Zix. Haven't voted yet, cuz I'm not sure. Reason being -- I just scrolled back though time to December of '03, when I stopped lurking, and joined GS. The topics "back then" sure were different. Topics then (and I did not stop on every page), were less explosive - unless you count that exploding whale thread, (page 24 of the Open Forum - I believe). The topics mentioned from then to now, seem to escalate in intensity, but with a whole lot of "fun" ones tossed in too. Someone, somewhere said "these things go in cycles", and I for one tend to agree. I'm a living example of that. I came in here, and went off on subjects like same sex marriage, 10 commandments, is JC pre-existant, movies, you name it. Because of GS, and the opportunity afforded me to discuss things, I now have a revolving opinion. (yea - I'm now going in circles! :P-->) So I don't know if changes will work (are they needed)?; It is different today than it was 7 months ago, but that can be construed as progress; And I would never vote for a spanking. Am working on a new fiddle tune for an up-coming contest, but I put the fiddle down for a bit, to answer. Things keep changing, and be that good or bad, change happens.

Right about the backgrounds being common. A cult is a cult, is a cult. We all got in, we all got taken, we all got out. Right again. Looks like this indoctination remained with us -- even after getting out, threatening our "survivorship" - if you will. Maybe we still haven't slammed the door shut, even though we're out.

caption to what? --> All I get is an X, in a circle, inside a square. Guessin' if I could see, I could believe. And then vote.

!9 years ago (not today), I walked away from twi. Has it been that long??? Seems like yesterday. And I don't add this to demean what you accomplished. "what a long, strange trip it's been."

ROR -- congrats on the anniversary!

Got a PT from Kit, who was going to be out of town, & with no PC. She asked if I would start this here, then left town, and dumped it in my lap. :(--> I can't do the "fireworks" and "graphics" like she does. Guess you'll have to provide your own!! :D--> (You do them well enough here at GS.) ;)--> Again -- Happy Birthday, Bro. We are glad you are here. :)-->

There. That should be a spectrum that could be construed as objective. (I think). You have the Alpha, and the Omega. The beginning, and the end. The ultra-violet, and the infra-red. Plus -- the added bonus of choices in between. By voting, you are affirming what this site means, to you personally, and not to me, or any one else. And if you don't "pull the lever" publically, do so mentally. This site is either "up" or "down", if I read all these posts correctly. I, for one, am going to cast the first vote. And you better believe it will be for the middle of the road. We were told before that we couldn't, and we were on a train. That long black train. I've switched to the train that says "I think I can."

Searcher -- you may have left by now, but my "2 pence worth" would be, feel welcome to participate anytime. You never caused any problems. (imo) We probably did, and for no other reason than we were just being "us". We should of read your signature a little closer. "Someone who thinks logically provides a nice contrast to the real world." Thanks for spending some time in our little corner of cyber-space. :)--> Have a good journey, and travel light!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! To the Resident Curmudgeon -- we wish you "da best"!! Take a break from scowling, Take a break from howling, We're all in one, big accord, and wishing you the following ---- Happy Birthday -- Geo! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AND MANY MORE!! :D-->

Sorry to have "continued" on here WW. You are right about the "Forum Location", but I see Searcher, as doing just that, searching. Admirable to keep on looking, but still a new site, and he/she is not used to the labels yet. btw -- good job of pointing to the correct "locale" for info desired! :)-->

HA!! :D--> I gotta tune in mind here. "Let's all go down to the riverrrrrr, and wash those sins awayyyyyyyy Don't forget towel and buckettttt, The soap is on Amway!" Donations only, please. Nothing is obligatory here --> -- yea right.

Transcending the decades by colors of books. --> White book -- Receiving the Holy Spirit Orange book -- PFAL Blue book -- The Bible Tells Me So Green book --New Dynamic Church Orange book with brown binding -- Word's Way Tan book with dark brown binding--God's Magnified Word 2 books with same color -- Are the Dead Alive Now; and Jesus Christ, our Promised Seed -- both blue. and also the 2 red books -- Jesus Christ Our Passover, and Order my Steps in thy Word. Looks like a rainbow flag to me. Maybe lcm got paranoid seeing all this color! :D--> And don't forget the Yellow book -- Jesus Christ is NOT God.

Here's a beginning point -- woops -- one more try. -->

scroll up to Oldiesman's live link, about 8 Wierwille books. Unless you are really serious, save your money.

Here's a link to the "About the Way" forum. http://gscafe.com/groupee/forums?a=tpc&s=9...01504#708101504 High price of the docvic books on e-bay. About the only place you can get them these days. They gave away a lot at the "bookstore" there in Ohio back whenever.

Ha! True! Used to sell Shaklee stuff (Amway's competiton). Maybe being in the "muti level marketing" got me prepped for "multi-level preaching". Wonder if I should sue Shaklee? --> PJ? Anyone? :D-->
-
It was the scam, too
-
Because I accept and love Jesus as the Christ
