  1. pfal was $85.00 when I took it in '75. It moved to $100.00 shortly thereafter, but can't say for sure when the century mark was realized.
  2. Well - hmmm! -- I have to agree with this, all the way. Not trying to propagate a "dooms-day" scenario here, but as "values, morals, or whatever" are diminishing daily, it seems that something else rises to take it's place. I am not saying that the pro -"whomever" will be erecting monuments in place of those they have forced to be removed, but it would not surprise me in the least, should that happen. Our society is under attack. The moral code that we have lived by for so long is being castigated, the things we thought harmless, are now an issue because of semantics, and though I doubt it will happen --- I would not be surprised if some sort of statue, monument, or memorial would be set up in the spot forcibly vacated by a group about some monument, such as the 10 commandments. Once you are on the road headed downward, it's pretty hard to stop. I am now in agreement that the 10 Commandments should not be placed on the City of Duluth, Minnesota's property -- but by the same token -- the "progressive group" that enacted it's removal, is not exempt from suspicion that they will try to erect a "politically correct" monument on the same spot. The "bottom-feeders" are trying to move up. Given the sentiments of today's society, they just might make it. :(-->
  3. :(--> :(--> So sorry to hear of your loss.
  4. Song --- Thank you for that! :)--> I heard that once on Paul Harvey, thought it was great. I second your nomination/vote: Red Skelton for President Hector Heathclip for VP. :D--> :D--> :D--> The world would be a saner place, with those two at the helm. :)-->
  5. Here's a dumb question from an old fiddlepicker; Why didn't she just hang up the phone?? --> --> -->
  6. I took a voyage on the Titanic. I told em I didn't have no money, I'll do some work for ya. They made me string chairs. --> I don't get no respect! Rodney Dangerfield
  7. If women presidents are now the in the "of God" category, They are not "Persons of God" (POG), They are "Females of God" (FOG) Ecclesiastes 1:9 -- The thing that has been, is that which shall be; and that which is done, is that which shall be done; There is no new thing, under the sun." "The lessons repeat, until they are learned". quote from Man of 1000 s/names
  8. CW -- you're PURPLE HEART AWARDS ARE TOP SHELF!! Congrats -- well done!! I have a question ..... Instead of Purple Hearts, can you make those "Purple Harps", with a crack in the middle, signifying "the day the "music died", a song headed for everlasing glory (but impeded), something coming from within, and suddenly irrevocably, interrupted? Like our experience with twi? Your powers with computer graphics are awesome. Thanks for all you have done. (I'm a picker --- trust me to think of the musical angle!!) :D-->
  9. Once upon a time (all bed-time stories start that way -eh?) :)--> --- there was this guy named Ted P*trick, and he stole people too, but it was called "deprogramming" back then. He (allegedly) took people by force, as they innocently travelled to twig, or to their parents house to receive the gift of a car, or were en route to some other function, and were rudely awakened to the fact, that they were suddenly in the custody of a man who meant to "steal the Word" from their minds. I am surprised the "offshoots" (who offer so much more Word than twi does), haven't been accused of "deprogramming" yet, like some were in the old days. Unfortunately - If you signed the green card, took "da class", spoke in tongues in session 12, and then continued in fellowship with twi (in any capacity), yea -- they considered you (and your money) their property. Your mind (and mine) were expendable. They have a more difficult time losing the money that can be realized from us. Imho -- that is where the stealing comes in -- regardless of their adamant claims to the contrary. -->
  10. I still believe God's Word is Truth. :)--> That it is so thoroughly dissected by mankind, supports the fact, but not the conclusions derived. Despite my lack of affinity with twi, the one thing they state that I can agree with absolutely is ---- THE WORD OF GOD, IS THE WILL OF GOD.
  11. "Render unto Caesar ....." :D-->
  12. As usual -- Waters, hits the nail on the head!!
  13. Maybe he ended up at the I Rock Site, which I initially spelled as "Iraq", and is still there playing games. :(-->
  14. Raf -- one of these days you are just going to have to accept the fact that You make a lot of sense!!
  15. I was surprised when I heard this today on the news. Given all the back and forth discussion from The Earlier 10 Commandments Thread, I for one have been able to let it go, and move on. I am less interested now as to where monuments like this are placed, as to whether or not the edicts contained therin are "in place" in people's hearts, as Raf said so well in the other thread. Oh -- btw -- update on our own experience with it all up here, concerning our local monument. A private church (from out of town) bought the monument previously displayed on City property. Then they donated it back to the group that fought so hard for it's preservation (so it never left town), and it is now in another prominent spot here in town -- this time on private land, not "gummint owned". :)--> Here's hoping it is just as prominantly displayed in the hearts, and lives of the locals -- in public, in action, and in sincerity.
  16. Ya shoulda been in of them there "window washing enterprises", that were so popular back in twi! :D--> "Dirty glass = Unclean house. Unclean house = Spiritual darkness". If my screen needs to be cleaned, I use a damp cloth, then a dry cloth. The better cloth to use, contains 777 tpi (threads per inch), while the inferior cloth to be avoided, contains 666 twi (taskmasters who intimidate). My screen is clean, but the windows of my house could use some help! ;)-->
  17. If you are Just In It For The Ride, here is a card for you to enjoy as you do so. :)--> :)--> :)-->
  18. To which I agree. I left an organization, not the Word. To add to GS George's "parable", let's put this into a financial perspective. Say I invested what I earned into stocks, (or something like that), that helped me use my money more profitably. My investment is there for several years, then I begin to hear rumors of some shady dealings. Upon finding out that the financial organization was suspicious (at the least), and/or more than likely corrupt, I withdraw what I invested (with interest), and walk away -- with what I had initially, plus a bit more. What was afforded me by my time there, went with me -- as I left the institution, and not the investment. I never renounced the Word because of somone else's sins, or wrong-doing --although I did ditch a "ministry" because of just that. There is a huge difference.
  19. Better check out the outside of your door. If ya see some red stuff smeared there, you've been Marked, and will be Avoided!! :D--> :D--> :D-->
  20. Good photo!! Glad to see the "rascalmobile" made it.
  21. I would have (and did), leave. There was an active limb at the time (1985), propounding all the "same old propoganda", which did not make one whit of difference to me. If the Root is rotten ..... If I had thought twi to be right, yes -- I would have stayed. No. No. The M&A happened after I began to ask questions, and I was deemed an "unhealthy leaf". The questions I asked, were because of the inconstancies I saw, and since they were either ignored (or scoffed at), I'd have left anyway. The M&A was just the "icing on the cake". --> No. I might have, yet I was shunned to the point that I was not welcome in twig anymore. Anything I might have tried to say, would have been considered as just "so much heresy". :(--> So much for the love of God, in the renewed mind, in manifestation, eh? -->
