  1. Valerie --- I'm listening to your station right now. It worked fine for me (streaming audio). Now -- If I could just get off on Thursdays (at 2 pm our time), I'd give it a listen. Your show is half an hour long?? We have a 15 minute messianic show here on WWJC 850 AM every day at 9:45 am (our time), called Vine and Branches. I hung out at their bible studies for about a year. Very informative. :)--> Good luck on your show. I'll see if I can convince the boss into letting me use the computer at work.
  2. Me too. Listening for the "music", not looking at the "signs".
  3. As some here would say ----- "Makes ya wanna go hmmmmm..." ;)-->
  4. I agree. Originally -- sin came to be known (my imho), after the first disobedience occurred --- aka -- rebellion in Heavan, and yes -- it was disobedience!!. "If the Word doesn't say it, we don't know it." (or sumthin like that) -- vpw
  5. heh heh heh. I smell a "dispensational arguement" coming up!
  6. Good Gawd -- Hap -- where do you find this stuff?? I was 11 years old then. ;)-->
  7. Shellon -- It seems simple enough to me, but give me a day or two to formulate the "thinking process" behind it. The "narrative" spoken of in Isaiah 55, makes sense to me. Wait a minute --- maybe I don't need a day or two. The basic premise is stated in verse 5, and the culminating statement (defining the premise) is in verse 11. Now -- (I will grant you that docvic & whomever), probably put a different spin on it, but the "original" (and I defer to your idea of all the different translations), still seems to say it all, and gives a "healthy" definition, of the phrase you are questioning. :)--> To put it simply -- I am seeing the Word compared to rain. It comes from Heavan. Sometimes it brings forth fruit, sometimes maybe not. But regardless of whether it brings forth fruit immediately, it is preparing the soil for future seed, thus growth. It doesn't return "void", just as rain does not.
  8. To which I agree -- amen.
  9. Excie -- you did. Back when everyone was saying the "f" word! ;)-->
  10. Makes sense to me :D--> --- they offer frozen milk, not cooked meat. ;)-->
  11. Oh my, i thinks the void has a definition of some sort of many. I would like to know what the word is? Well -- dig it. :D--> God has a definition, while you do not. Once ya go back to where the *saying* came from, and take a look at it, it is kinda hard to NOT understand what is meant by it. But hey -- whadda I know?? -->
  12. Isn't that a little bit twisted!!!??? :P-->
  13. Jim -- Flat will need warm clothes here too. 7 inches of new snow, has followed -20 degree weather. I think he is coming here after you send him to Zshot, right??
  14. Geez!! Is Greasespot turning into THIS SITE!?!? :D--> :D-->
  15. Besides being a great football player, he was an excellent role model. So sad to lose someone like him. :(-->
  16. "Sexual Her-foot-Ment"?? LMAO!! :D--> :D-->
  17. Isa 55:5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation [that] thou knowest not, and nations [that] knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee. Isa 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Isa 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Isa 55:8 For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD. Isa 55:9 For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isa 55:10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: Isa 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it.

  19. Geez --- and I thought I had it bad, when the restaurant we were going to order the lutefisk dinner from (for our eldest client, Loren) ran out, and we actually had to cook that stuff for him ourselves. :(--> :(--> There is no way to escape that gagging smell, and it sure made our Christmas Eve a little "less bright", as the whole house smelled terrible for the rest of the day. Reading all this --- I guess I can't complain!
