Loretta Lynn (the country star) was once asked if her marriage (since she was a such a huge name in the business), was still 50/50, where they each shared taskes. Without batting an eye she told the reporter, that her marriage had never been 50/50. It had always been 100/100. And I think she has a valid point. She said that if either side of the marriage weren't committed to 100% effort, it wouldn't work. Why people find reasons to divorce and leave each other is getting more common, and being justified as well. Maybe people (these days -- myself included) don't give the 100%, and I am including men, as well as women. It takes two to tango.

Hey there BluzieQ, welcome! --> --> --> Hey -- quick question (if I may). You said: Do your parents (and especially your dad), know that the *old Way books* are now history, and no longer taught? Does he know that if he is following the *doctrine* from the pfal series, he will be at odds with the way ministry that is presently in evidence today? Does he realize that docvic"s teachings are in the can, and lcm's are now the *present truth* (or whatever they call it)? I'm only asking this -- because if he is looking at the pfal series and thinking (today) that that is what twi is all about, he is in for a very rude awakening were he to try and get involved with them again in these times. This is not the *kinder gentler* twi that he probably knew back in the 70's. Sorry -- didn't mean to de-rail your thread, but I was curious if he knew how much times have changed there, or not. David

Long Gone -- I don't know about that area, but am willing to agree with your assessment since you know it, and I don't. HOWEVER: Something happened here recently, and the police reaction was *poor* at best. A bank acros the bay was robbed a week or so ago (in Superior, Wisconsin), and some of the employees in the back of the bank got outside before the thief did, and were able to chase him down, and collar him with the loot in a back alley 2 blocks away, and hold him for police. It took the cops (looking everywhere for the guy) over a half an hour to realize that the thief had been caught, and was still being held by the employees of the bank 2 blocks from the scene of the crime. The story came out the next day, and though the newspapers and the tv coverage told the story, the main emphasis was NOT what the employees accomplished, but rather the police telling citizens to : NOT TO TAKE MATTERS INTO THEIR OWN HANDS! It's a sad day when an *ordinary* citizen can't step up to bat, and hit a home run.
