  1. think fish --- I have no love for twi (lest you mistake my post). They are a manipulative outfit that is better at sucking the life out of folks, instead of offering the *abundant life* of John 10:10. I don't hold a thing against God though. He isn't responsible for the crap that happened. You think what you want. Go your own path. And may God (dog) go with you. I'm thinking you'll need a watch dog (God). :)-->
  2. Good question. I dont know the answer. (Probably has something to do with US though!!) Tell ya what -- I bolded your statement about Christ not coming back. You give me factual documentation that He lied (at any time in His life), and I'll think about your offer.
  3. Bill Clinton, Senator Kennedy, and Dan Quayle are in a spelling contest. Who wins?? --> Dan Quayle -- he is the only one of the 3 that knows *harass* is one word! :D-->
  4. Actually -- the Republican version looks like this: "nur yralliH nuR" (remember -- it's on the front bumper, and meant to be seen in a rear-view mirror.) ;)-->
  5. Linda -- you are right -- we agree. And I surely do wish that there was some new technology that would enable police better, and all this here could be avoided. The sad fact remaining is -- it takes two to tango. The cops wouldn't be racing after someone if there were only law-abiding citizens out there. Unfortunately for now, they do not have that newer technology, and have to do things as best they can (which I know you agree with). Personally -- I think a helicopter with a very large magnet hanging below it would be ideal. Chopper flies over the car, picks it up, and takes it to a safer location where all can be dealt with in an orderly fashion.
  6. And I agree with this statement too. But again -- I will not lay the blame at the doorstep of the police threshold, but rather at that of the person who is suspect. The *miscreant* is the cause of it all, not the police. Why is that so hard to understand? -->
  7. Linda -- I agree totally 100% Absolutely Unequivicably (sp?) But the men/women in the cop car have a job to do. They have radio and phones, but what they do not have is the pertinent info of whomever is driving that vehicle, and why they choose to flee a pursuing officer. That being said, (I hope I don't sound callous here), it's a tragedy when accidents happen. Nothing like that has happened in our area, but then again (I think I said this earlier), this town is not as *populated* as Cleveland. Regardless -- a policeman has a job to do, and if they feel it neccesary to implement a *chase* or whatever they feel neccessary, they would be derelict in duty, if they did not follow through. Again -- I fault the criminals more than I do the police.
  8. Mr H -- see my post above. If the *offender* has an expired plate, and is running fast -- there is probably a reason. And in my (IMHO) that person is worthy of pursuit.
  9. Well -- I'll admit I don't live in a high *density* population area, but I do have a police scanner sitting here by the computer, that I have on and listen to. Just last night -- one person was gonna be pulled over for a missing tail-light, and they took off like a bat out of hell, ignoring the lights and sirens behind them. The ensuing chase didn't go through populated neighborhoods or anything, but when the guy was finally brought to a stop the police found many, many, many items that had been recently reported as stolen. Like Zshot says -- the cops don't know. And if the person is running, and moving fast, they have reason to suspect anything. And if they do -- fine with me. It's tragic if something bad happens from the chase -- but they were hired to do a job, and if that involves a chase to check out that which they are suspicious of, so be it. I would rather lay the blame at the doorstep of the criminals, and not the police. Those are my thoughts on the subject. If we didn't have dickheads committing crimes, we would have no need for high speed chases by the police. David
  10. Ha -- they still have corps to assign?? Wow.
  11. You mean there is tv that isn't bottom feeding?? hmmmmm
  12. Happy Birthday! :)--> (are the gators that large in Kulumbus???) :D-->
  13. Mr H. --- The legacy of pfal and twi is NOT the word that it promoted at one time, but the scandals, and the up-heaval (sp?) that followed after docvic died, and martinfail took over. But then again -- that is (as usual) just an IMHO. :)-->

    Christmas

From a contest held in Minneapolis/St. Paul area. The yearly contest is put on by the folks from the Garage Logic radio show, and the more electricity used, the better. Garage Logic is a production of KSTP 1500 AM. 1st place: 27,000 to 30,000 lights. 2nd place: over 20,000 lights, and 60 lighted figures.

    Christmas

I loved Christmas, as a kid --- I got presents. (selfish -- I know) I hated Christmas, as an adult -- cause I was expected to give.(selfish -- I know) I don't *do* Christmas anymore (nothing to do with twi). Too much time, effort, money, etc. dictated to me about *the season*, or whatever. As for me and *my house*, I choose to ignore the decorations, trees, presents, and all.
  20. 10,000, any given Sunday, and a 30 mile radius!!???? Twi -- HELLOOOOOOO!!!! Ya hear that? Anyone awake, or at home there in New Knoxville??. --> 10,000 people seeking, speaks volumes. David
  21. Belle -- sorry I cannot give you the audio, but check out this CD by IIIrd Tyme Out. One of the premier bluegrass groups touring today. :)--> How Great Thou Art is track 8. I found this CD at walmart, and you can also get it from IIIrd Tyme Out It is well worth the money (15 or so bucks). I think I paid 13.99 for my copy. :)--> David
  22. I like that. Very much! Am thinking that will work at our group home, where some are always afraid of being *in trouble*, when it is time to talk, and won't. Thanks!! David
