  1. Ala --- No, it's on this page. http://www.greasespotcafe.com/ipb/ It's on the right, just below the Soap Opera Forum. :)
  2. When I read the title to this thread --- I thought it belonged to the *IN THE KITCHEN* forum. Different kind of recipe, so I guess not, eh??? ;)
  3. And being forced to drive (within a 250 mile radius or whatever it was) to see that?????? :o :o
  4. Not that I can offer any solutions, but is this something that just recently happened, or has it been an ongoing thing? Sorry to hear of the problems some are having. I'm sure it's VERY frustrating. :(

    Guitar Talk

Yup!! Short stow-ry (as some here would say) ;) -------------------- >>>> I used to go to a weekly jam session (Old time fiddle and Bluegrass) at a pub about 4 blocks from my house. The bass player (playing an upright), was having MAJOR problems with his bridge, and wanted to call it a night. I told him to hang on, went home, got the *Gumbie Bass* (as I call it), and my crate amp, and came back. He took one look at it and started laughing. :( He ridiculed it upside and down and sideways. I plugged it in and handed it to him, and he went through a DRAMATIC change of opinion! It sounded better than his, and when we were done for the night, his only complaint was: He wasn't used to NOT having to stretch his fingers to get the notes like he was used to doing. :D
  6. If you are on Firefox -- look up at the top (left) of the page, where it says Firefox. Click on that, and then click on *Preferences*. Once you are in *preferences*, click on *Security*. It'll say "show cookies?" and if you go there, you can delete one, or all cookies.

    disaster plan

Seriously -- I live on a hillside where it would be impossible for my house to be flooded. All water that comes here is from rain, and immediately drains down to Lake Superior 4 blocks (and perhaps 100 feet) below me. Regardless of that --- thanks for the advice TL. Actually I do have extra food and water on hand, but it is for snow storm emergencies which up here are a more direct threat.

I didn't see beer on the list either.
  9. Yes -- it will have to be later. Without mentioning too many details, my boss was diagnosed with a serious medical condition requiring surgery this weekend. We're scrambling at the house to make sure we have adequate staff while she recuperates.

T-bone: This is what my bass looks like. ;) The strings are rubber, you tie a knot on either end, and slip them into place! And it really sounds good , even though it's only 24 inches long. ;)
  11. I have settings set to *accept cookies*. They can always be deleted later. :)

    Inward Hellix

Well -- I made it through 3 levels. Though not much of an online *game* person, I prefer the kind like MOTAS.
  13. Hey there, Socks!! I thought about sending you this as a b-day gift ----- >>> But I figure you already have 5 or so of them!!! ;) Happy birthday!
  14. Nope. Never happens to me. I use both Safari and Firefox. Sometimes (rarely) I get *timed out* on all websites. Restart the computer --- all is well with the world. :)

Thanks for the update Templelady. I was wondering about her and the others in the area. If you talk with her again, let her know she has my prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery from this mess.

    A Thread For Quitters

Hey there Raf. Congrats!!! Hey --- can you sing the Karaoke to this? Sounds like your theme song (these days). ;)
  17. 4 PM is fine with me.I tend to get up late anyway, so I should say "preferable"! :) Hinckley is 75 miles from here -- and it's I-35 the entire way. 70 MPH is the posted speed limit. I usually get there in 55 or so minutes.
  18. Geo ---- Then I guess you REALLY don't want to hear this one: .;)

  23. I agree with Hap and his question. These rules seem quite fair, and I have tried (unsuccessfully at times) to follow the precepts there. I recently had several posts deleted in P & T, when I was merely answering a question to Rocky. There was no *You said/ I said* type of thing, He made a comment and asked a question. I responded. My response got deleted as a personal attack, when all I did was answer his question. I hope the 20 Mods will follow the new guidelines, as I will surely try to do as well. I coulda said this by PM, but since the topic was broached on the Open board, for all to see ---- so I feel why not ask/ question/ answer/ here. I do appreciate what you do Paw. Sometimes I feel it's getting *heavy-handed* here. But --- that's just me. You do what ya gotta do.
