  1. But then again --- who goes to twig (these days)??? :D-->
  2. Dean Ellenwood. He was my twig leader once back in the 70's. The teachings were good, and the music was even better! ;)--> David
  3. And yes --- I sleep quite well at night. No recriminations here at all for doing what I have done! :D-->
  4. Oak -- I hear ya! I've tried a few *outfits* since twi, and I take them all with a grain of salt. Seems like every last somebody thinks they have the total truth. I know they don't, so I take what is good, and leave the junk. :)-->
  5. I wasn't as perceptive as WordWolf. I finally got wind of the sex allegations, and the firing of John Sc*oen*eit for writing a paper about adultery -- and it didn't take much to put two and two together. Once I got out, things clicked into place. Meebe I'm a canary with a bad sense of smell! It took a ball bat to make me see the light. -->
  6. Seems like yesterday. ((sigh))
  7. Wow!! 30 years ago. There's times I don't remember what I had for lunch yesterday -- but just mention twi, umpteen years ago -- and I can recall what I was doing, what I thought, how I felt, and where I was with no difficulty at all. Makes ya wanna go hmmmmm. --> 30 years ago (this month) I quit a job in the boundary waters canoe area up here in Minnesota so I could attend my very first ROA. 30 years ago, I proposed to the one and only wife I've ever had (she and I parted ways 10 years later.) :(--> 30 years ago we felt we couldn't have manifestations up here since there only two of us *believers*, and didn't have the (necessary) third person. 30 years ago --twi could do no wrong. 30 years ago I was driving a VW microbus to twig, New Knoxville, Emporia, and all points in between. 30 years ago 30 years ago 30 years ago ----- Where did the time go?? David
  8. Beloit75 -- welcome. :)--> :)--> I drive by/through Beloit when I head south from Minnesota, to visit my folks in Indiana (it's the quickest way around Chicago that I know of), and every time I go though there -- I think of docvic and his time there. Good to have you here. David
  9. Yer welcome!!! :)--> It is a real treat to hear of kids like this that work hard, have the *smarts*, and achieve things --- instead of just hearing the *doom and gloom* reports about today's youth (that have been so prevelant), although I will admit that much of today's youth are not as focused as Ryan is. Tell that son of yours to reach for the stars. I'm thinking he'll have a handful or two of them before he is finished! David
  10. Ha ha!! I have both of those too! Strangely enough -- it is the *obsolete* rotary dial phone that works during power outages. Go figure. -->
  11. But now that I think about it --- He can aspire to much greater heights, than the NBA. :)--> David
  12. 1/2 Hispanic, and 1/2 Tar Heel?? If he has any height to him -- Look out NBA!! :D-->
  13. CW --- go with Hooker's Inc. It has a nice *ring* to it, and is easy for the cops to say (late at night) when some poor guy caught with DWI is being hauled to de-tox, and his car is going somewhere else. It is also something the locals will probably latch onto as well. (no pun intended!) :D--> Takes time to get a new name noticed, but give it a try. Toss it out there, and I'm betting it'll be noticed (and remembered) in no time flat. David
  14. HA!! The treasures one finds in *old hats*. ;)-->
  15. Psalmie -- are you saying that you and Cindy! are sisters!!!!???
  16. dmiller

    Sudoku

Is that a site sponsored by Sudo?? :D-->
  17. What the F*** If I were LCM, I would just take some money out of one pocket, and put it into another. That's how it works -- right??? David
  18. TaylorCompany ---- Amen, amen, and amen!! David
  19. Remember --- You are in the driver's seat. Not them. David
  20. Bliss -- I agree with both Bramble, and MStar. You owe them nothing. If you try to defend your decision to leave, that makes you the underdog. Don't give them that satisfaction. Tell them (if they ask) that they are from another planet, and that they have the explaining to do, not you. Read them the riot act, and put the ball in their court. See how they respond. To be sure -- they will dance around the issues, but hold their balls to the fire, and see what kind of response you get then. You do not need to answer to them ---- THEY NEED TO ANSWER TO YOU!!!! In case you haven't gotten my drift --- You are in the *right*, and they are in the *wrong*. It's up to them to tell you why you should stay, and they will NOT be able to come up with a good reason. Tell the @ssholes to take a hike, and stop demanding that you account for what you are doing, when they can't do the same for themselves. Sure -- they are steeped in *doctrine* (weren't we all), but they need to take the blinders off, and see the world as it really is. Your blinders are off, and I'm thinking you are starting to have 20/20 vision, unlike the folks you know who are still in. Make them come to you for an explanation -- don't you give in to them. By demanding an explanation from you, they are only entrenching themselves deeper into the cult known as twi, and that ain't cool. :(--> David
  21. :D--> :D--> (I'm sure there is a HUGE spiritual connotation here, that I am missing!!) ;)--> David
  22. NOT trying to de-rail here, but Jonny, what does: "Zakamuka, Ngiku zololay, Ozala kamoto!" mean?? --> -->
  23. No check needed, Ron. That is one of those generic sayings I've seen, that everyone uses. In the music business -- it would be referred to as *public domain*. In other words -- anyone can use it. :)--> David
  24. Oh --- scuuze me. Guess it isn't *end of story*. --> The bottom line is that twi used the hard earned cash that they demanded from followers (via ABS), to frivolously and shamelessly promote their *product* -- in order to lure more unsuspecting folks into the *fold*, and gain more cash as a result. It's all a big crap shoot with them. Spend a little here, hope to gain a lot there. The only scruples evinced by twi are those that ensure the *best* for the BOD, and to hell with the common folk. They don't now (and probably never did) give a ratzzz azz about anyone but the upper crust, and the continued well-being thereof. And that was mighty clear, when they ran this here ad --- laying out a path of cheese for the unsuspecting mice to follow, who will only end up with their heads caught in a trap they couldn't get out of. David
  25. Picked?????????????? Naw -- they weren't *picked*. They bought their way into that spot, plain and simple. Money talks. Twi had it and spoke. MSNBC listened. End of story. David
