Texas is one of the few states to understand this fully. DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS!

Abuse??? What abuse??? The inmates of that locale were terrorists. Suppose (for a moment) that Americans were there as prisoners, and these bozos were in charge. I'm betting you would see much worse photos if that were the case. A dog leash on a naked man's neck is NOTHING compared to the beheading of a human being. Now that's abuse. David

Once I got out of twi -- I never did listen to any who might criticize. And that means either those that criticized my leaving, or those that did so about my involvement. My life is my own, and not somebody else's. :) David

It's official for me. I cannot be there this year. :( We just hired a live-in person for the house, and I (and others) need to be there to monitor him as he learns the ropes. Wish I could head south for this here, but this year is not an optiion. Ratzzzzzzzz! David

Hi Kit. This isn't exactly the same, but perhaps it is an acceptable substitute? http://www.images.google.com/images?q=tbn:...6.com/elvis.gif David

Coming out of a bank eh??? Perhaps he was *sticking* all the ABS money into his account?? Heh heh! :D

I agree. It took me a long while to learn to differentiate between the *hot stove lid* and the *cold stove lid* after getting out.

Ha! You have to read what's written!! :D (No *P I* remember???) ;) David -
Nuts to that Mr. P-Mosh!! I'm glad you and yours are ok -- truely I am. But do us all a favor, and leave the political crap behind. There aren't enough refineries in this country because of the greenies who think that taking anything from *Mother Earth* is comparable to rape. If we had more refineries built, if we had drilling in Alaska allowed, if we had this, if we had that -- you wouldn't have to shoot your mouth off about the executives of oil companies. Hmmmmm -- sounds to me like you are actually blaming them for the hurricane as well. Well if ya want to do so -- have at it, and make a fool of yourself. In case you didn't notice (tongue in cheek here) -- a major storm happened, and people became casualties as a result. When you can *read me from the book* that executives of major corporations were a direct result of the *casuality list* -- perhaps I will pay attentiion. Until you do so -- your words are but smoke in the wind. David

Ok -- ya got us on that one. Methinks (if I recollect correct) that Daniel prayed for 21 days straight, not just one. Meebe we should have 21 days of prayer, and not just one, eh?? :) :) David

Last I heard --- there were 24 fatalities, and all were senior citizens. :(

http://earth.google.com/ You can locate anything, anywhere. Someone in the chat room was asking about this site. Here it is. :) David

Paw -- that would make one helluva signature line! :D Thank you for all you have done. You have no idea how wonderful it is for me to come in here at any time of day and connect with others who have gone through it all, and have done so in spades. I found family here that I never knew in twi, and every post I read is a learning experience. Forces me to get out of my *box*, and look at reality like I never would have seen -- had it not been for you and this site. What you have done, and what you are doing is helping us (as posters) as much as it is helping those seeking the *exit* door from twi, and I am proud to be a part of this community as well. I guess a simple *thanks* on a monitor screen doesn't properly convey appreciation for the enormity of your work, but it will have to suffice. THANKS!!!!!!! :) :) :) David

Hmmmm ---- should mention that I just recently added the Fiddlehead avatar. It is a pic of the fiddle peghead that belonged to Vassar Clements, before he passed a way recently (about a month ago). He was one of my favourite *fusion* type fiddlers of all time, he made all styles of music sound good. :) Trim the beard, Put a smile on the face, Add glasses, And (I'm told) that face on the fiddlehead looks similar to me! hmmmmmmmm! Though I wonder too, it seemed to *sit well enough* with that one fella, until they couldn't see what was happening. They were the ones on the plane, and seemed to need the info more than anyone.

HA!! Says a lot about the effect twi had on the world, eh??
-
oh --- and a ps. here --- the greatest extortion (again my IMO) that twi ever exerted was not in charging for the class (though that ranks right up there), but rather in the ABS that followed that funneled money into their coffers, and did nothing but entitle the folks at the helm specifically, and did nothing for humanity in general. For what it is worth --- In 1974, I was in Italy, doing *missionary* work for an outfit called Operation Mobilization. It was our job to pass out tracts, Gospels of John, and New Testaments to any and all that would take them. We lived off of the income that we got from that, as well as the generosity and giving of the locals who believed in what we were doing. We were told that if a person paid for something, that they would actually look at it, and read it, etc. Plus --- we were also told that if someone really wanted what we had (and couldn't afford it), make sure you gave it to them anyway. Two (seemingly) conflicting theories, that in actuality worked quite well together. After a *successful* tour of duty there, I came back to the states, and got my first introduction to twi. I hemmed and I hawed (I was poor and the money was a big deal back then), and finally took the class (April of '75) and the cost was $85.00. I didn't think about it for a time, but after a while I wondered why twi couldn't offer it for free to those that wanted it, and couldn't afford it -- just like the literature I was passing out over in Italy. After all -- it wasn't their *bread and butter* like it was for me and those I was with back then. Or was it??????????? We made out just fine by both selling and giving away the materials (and dare I say it?) believing God to meet our needs. T'is a shame that twi couldn't believe what they taught, and resorted to extortion instead (imo). David
