  1. Mstar -- is This it? It looks similar, but may not be the exact one you had. Found this on page 30 of google images, of the self-portrait. :) David
  2. There was a song from the mid 70's I first heard back in Indiana. I still have the words I wrote down from it. LOVED INTO LIVING Chorus: I was loved into living, by someone who really cared. They did not pass me by as if I wasn't there. Their life, like a light was brilliant, shining thru my night. They loved me into living a life filled with God's light. I.) I stood at the crossroads, not knowing which way to go. Certain only of uncertainty, I needed to know. Which path was the right one for my feet to travel on Which path would take me to those things for which I long. II.) As I stood and wondered, someone shared with me How God had a plan by which all men, could be set totally free. Sure at first I had my doubts. Questions did arise. My questions were heard, answered from the Word, and then I realized --- -------- Chorus (I was being ---) -------- III.) Knowing that they had the truth, Truth with me they shared. And not by words, but by their deeds, they showed to me they cared. Teaching how to get results, they got results with me. Showing how to manifest life more than abundantly. --------- Chorus --------- It was definately *local* talent vs. way prod, but I still remember it after all these many years. :) David
  3. I agree. If one now corrects a spelling mistake 20 seconds after the post is entered, it is duely noted as being *edited*. I see no reason for a time limit on editing. Were that time limit to be removed, folks could rephrase statements that they deem appropriate for rephrasing, if their original statement did not come across the way they meant it to. Lord knows I've had to do that many a time (my tang got tongueg'ld up in my *eye teeth*, and I couldn't see what I was saying type of thing), and was glad to have a chance to re-state what I meant. That is one feature I miss from the other site, because it was a handy item to have. It usually takes me more than two hours to realize I mis-stated something, and by then it is too late to change it. David
  4. I sure do!! :D :D Oh -- wait. You meant fiddle with the site, and not on a fiddle! Nemmer mind! :P
  5. Happy Birthday Sudo! :D :D Notice the bright shiny teeth there? ;)

  9. Well Allan --- I'll tell ya. :) I can't speak for Mike or Def (both of whom disagree with me on several things), but speaking for myself I can honestly say that anyone can call me whatever they want, just call me in time for supper. :D Now -- all levity aside -- a multitude of folks here "happily disagree" with me on a regular basis. I make my views known about several *hot topics*, and for some reason they run against the grain of a lot of the posters here. My one question about that is "SO WHAT?" If others choose to disagree with me about (say) Lesbianism, the 10 commandments, speaking in tongues, devil spirits, etc., ad infinitum, that is their privilidge to do so, just as it is my privilidge to say what I think. I'm from Indiana, the Hoosier state, and there were two prominent sayings promoting that state in the past coupla decades. One was --- WANDER INDIANA and the other was --- HOOSIER HOSPITALITY IS NO ACCIDENT. Saying number one said to Wander Indiana (thanks Rascal -- I like the fellow traveler analogy!) ;) It didn't say wander the forests, the highways, the cities, or any specific place north, south, east, or west -- just wander. Find a path you like and GO. And after you go on your individual path, hopefully you'll find something you like enough to take to heart. Saying number two says Hoosier hospitality is no accident. Well, I like to think that I am an *abassador* (of sorts) of that mentality. We got a lot of visitors just *wandering* in Indiana, and ya sure didn't want to chase them away, after they accepted the invitation. Which leads me to what I REALLY want to say --------------- As someone who is hospitable to *wanderers*, I would never gun them down in the street if they did me wrong. If they forced their way into my house to do me harm, violating my space, stealing my stuff, WHATEVER, I would not even think twice before pulling the trigger. Anyone (uninvited into my home) who wishes ill for me and mine will be looking down the barrel of a gun, and rightfully so. What you have done here on this board -- is VERBALLY GUN DOWN FOLKS ON THE STREET. (and I say this with all the love-of-God-in-the-renewed-mind-in-manifestation I have) They were not *univited into your home* (you logged on, right?) You're *on the street* (open forum, world-wide internet, etc., right?) It's your choice to be here (no one forced you to register, did they?) *Persona non grata* doesn't apply to computers, unless you hit the *ignore* key, and then you don't have to hear them anyway. Personally -- I like you, and what you stand for even if I don't agree with all of it. However, I take exception to that fact when you start *pulling the trigger* outside your own house. If you continue to do so, you should expect to be called the names like *vicious* and *attack* mentioned ealier, and you'll have nothing to say, since you are *on the street*. Soooooooo -- I suggest hospitality over animosity. Works every time. ;) When dialogue flows, learning is enhanced -- for both parties involved. B) David (ps -- I have my actual name there beside my posts too!!)

    Lesbianism

Bramble -- let me re-iterate what I said, and this time I will bold words so that you can see my original intent."In other words -- what they are doing is wrong (imo), but I'm surely doing things in my own life that God frowns on as well. So the short of the long of this is -- we all make mistakes, none of us are perfect, and a willingnes to discuss things in an attempt to rectify a*short-coming* in our lives is never a bad thing." In case you missed it the first time, I was including myself in the criticism, and not directing it towards others only. I knew you'd understand. I fail to understand this statement.
  16. Ha!!! :D How's married life, Oak? Here's hoping you and Susie are doing well. :)
  17. And I actually did post the original post for the innies. Did not mean to start up old disagreements, though I guess that is inevitable, and comes with the territory. Shoulda thunk of that one first, eh?!! David
