Aw shucks -- tell a woman she can't go somewhere, and next thing ya know, she's off and running!! Like HERE. ;) ;) ;)

Hiya Bill! Haven't seen you in a while. What really ticks me off about this whole global warming (or cooling) crap is --- where is the data from the beginning of time --- eh??? The very best that scientist's can do is from recorded data, and how far back does that extend?? Maybe 100 years like you said. Shucks-- I'll give them another hundred on top of that, but anything they might say, deduce, or declare is miniscual compared to the time that earth has been here (be it 6,000 years, or millions of years -- depending on your theology). How do they know what it was like originally? They don't. Sure -- they can make deductions, educated guesses, yada yada, but to say that *this is the way it is* is like farting in the wind -- smell dissipating and no substance. And you are right about India and China being exempt from Kyoto. Why is US of A being called to task, when others aren't? If everyone is so all-fired concerned about this *imminent threat*, why in the @@@@ aren't all nations being made to comply??? You're right about the Kyoto treaty being nothing more than an effort to cripple US (read U.S.) And to those who think that global cooling will be a result of global warming, I have only this to say. Cooling was *preached* 30 years ago, and warming is relatively new on the scene. In terms that an ex-cult member might understand --- That's like preaching Armegeddon before salvation. What is being touted now is putting the cart before the horse. And the video recording of the Rodney King beating was erroneous, and O.J. Simpson was really innocent too. Same logic. :( It doesn't work in real life. Though some alarmists will make it appear to be so. David

My house is 4 blocks from Lake Superior. For the record -- I have lived here for 26 years. Ice is a regular thing on the big lake -- year after year after year. Sometimes we are *locked* in by ice here in Duluth, but that is because the winds blow it in to shore, after it has formed out in the main body of the lake. The Great Lakes NEVER freeze over totally. Yes -- I will grant you that ice forms (the average temp of Lake Superior is no more than 38 to 40 degrees year round), but it never freezes over like the backyard pond you might have in your neighborhood. To propound that cold air moving over the Great Lakes, picking up moisture from unfrozen water is ludicrous. Regardless of what folks uninitiated with the area think, the lakes do not freeze over, and whatever *cold air* passes over, it always passes over water, rather than ice. David

Uh-oh!!! Did I start this again??? Ask Raf, or Oak. :D :D :D Garth ---- Yep. Purist (when it comes to coffee), and proud of it. :)

Global warming is a crock of ****. 30 years ago, it was *global cooling* that was promoted. I guess the blue color over the world didn't look as *alarming* as the red from global warming. Personally -- I think both sides are alarmists that don't deserve the time of day.

Happy HannaRamaKwanzMas To All!!!

Mark -- sorry, but your here link did not work for the Pesh itta interlinear of Mat. 27. And again -- I'll re-iterate that I understand many here have problems with CES, but thanks for your *hat's off* to them. I don't agree with all they teach either, but as you said: :) (I myself am more interested in correct teaching, than a group). I'll google the Pesh itta interlinear and see if I can't find it.

I agree. Remember the old saying --*You can set your clock by ----*??? Well -- you can do the same here. What you are reading here is both predictable and redundant. "Nothing new under the sun" comes to mind.

And -- (I don't believe I am *betraying* a confidence here), Mike also believes the Way magazine to be held in the same respect as pfal. He said so to myself, and several others in a group PT setting on the other board, before this one. It was hard for me to fathom that one would *nit-pick* the words of an article docvic wrote in the way rag to prove a point that he was saying something that amounted to *this is The Word of God*. But it was being discussed as a serious subject. Nothing facetious about the comments there. The way magazine was being treated with equal status to pfal. Me -- I was thinking -- what about the editing, the type space, everything else that goes into a magazine, yada yada, yada, before printing it -- and then once it is published pick and chose certain words, tie them together, and then call it *God-breathed*??? Didn't work for me then, nor will it now. Short of the long of it is -- (Mr. Bumgarner) -- out of the three persons you asked that question to, it is my experience that Mike believes any and all things written by docvic. In those PT's -- he quoted JCNG along with various way magazine articles, but I don't remember now if JCOP and JCOPS were included. However it stands to reason that they would have been, since even the way magazine was scrutinized for tidbits of *divine info*. Just my 2 cents worth, from my *personal* (internet) experience with Mike. David

Hiya Allan. Just because Oldies produced a long list of pfal topics doesn't mean much, other than twi published on a lot of topics. And just because they were published, that doesn't grant them *God-breathed* status. Docvic's *The Cry Of Triumph* was totally wrong. When docvic promoted the teaching that "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani" meant: *My God, for this purpose I was spared* (or something to that effect), He was blowing smoke (to put it politely). Lotsa folks here don't care much for CES and their Truth or Tradition site, but if you look HERE, you'll find a teaching that makes sense about this particular subject. Makes more sense to me than docvic's rendition, which some here would claim as *gospel*. David

??????? Cripes -- he is 11 years old. Not on some Pro team. Disciplined vs. Punishment??? NON-FACTOR!!!! The coach was a jerk, as were the parents who opened their mouths, and let gravity rule: (what is *upstairs* drains out at the mouth). If the parents, coach, whoever-the-hell-is-involved-is-so-dog-goned-worried about this, tell them when to come and do the transporting themselves, or pay the bills you incurr by his involvement! :D

damnitallEx -- you just brought tears to my eyes. Yea -- Robin is still missed (hugely). I spent last Thanksgiving with the folks. It was just the three of us. My brother was there (briefly) then had to return to Texas, and my other sister took off for northern Indiana to visit with her *significant other's* relatives instead, and Tom (Robin's husband) decided to take his family to his relatives also. Had Robin been there then, the house would have been filled with kids, love, and laughter (along with Dad complaining about *too much activity*!! Too many folks (staff) at the house were asking for time off around Christmas, so I opted for the Thanksgiving time that no one else had asked for to visit back home. Yes -- you bet I will celebrate with *my guys*. Now that Tim is no longer the director there at Noumenon, for the first time in (who knows how long) the guys there will actually get a present from *Santa*. Tim was a cheapassperson who would not fork over a dime to a starving man, much less the guys he was in charge of. Thankfully -- Desi (our new director) picked up on what each of them would like to get for Christmas, and decided that wtf --- if it comes out of our budget for the house, so be it. :) :) Loren (for example) gets 72 dollars a month for *personal needs*. He has no other income, but has always wanted a thermos to carry coffee with him to the various events he volunteers at. I'll give you three guesses as to what his gift from Santa is, and the first two don't count!! Since I have no family up here, I'll take the one I have *available*. And ya know what?? They are just as precious. David

Christmas shopping?? What's that? :D Just kidding. I don't shop for, or give presents at X-mas (is X-mas a dirty word here??). If I am at the home place in Indiana I do, but never otherwise. And the main reason I do back home is for my nieces, and nephews. I'm not a scrooge, but if I'm not there to see them open the gift, I don't send one via mail. Last time I shopped for X-mas gifts, was somewhere around 5 years ago. With one set of parents, two sisters, and 6 nieces and nephews in attendance, I was lucky to get the job done back then. Am thankful that I don't have to do it every year!!!

Another one for your boss, Belle --- We, the underpaid have done SO much, With SO little, For SO long, That we are now qualified to do Practically ANYTHING At ALL times With NOTHING! (That might not go over very well with him either, eh? ;)

Belle -- I will answer you tomorrow. I had one typed up here, but lost it somehow. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. :( David

] Well -- I'll tell ya, Allan. Don't be too critical too fast, OK? I was raised Catholic, left the church, joined a charismatic group they had going on in the 1970's, and whadda-ya-know --- they taught me how to speak in tongues. Go figure, eh?? A *real live cult* like the RCC, teaching tongues. Makes ya wanna go Hmmmm. (They got interpretation totally wrong, but then again so did docvic.) Now --- I don't agree with RCC doctrine (Sorry Mark, but that's the way it is for me), but you just can't blow them off as so much *riff-raff* because if you believe what you are saying Allan, God can (and does) work with anyone, regardless of denomination. According to what you are saying about RCC -- answer me this. How is it they were able to teach me how to speak in tongues?? Sure -- they have doctrine I don't agree with. Sure they have practices that I don't condone. Given my personal beliefs, I would never be in a Catholic church again, but one fact remains --- THEY TAUGHT ME HOW TO SPEAK IN TONGUES Not docvic, but the RCC. Allan -- I hear where you are coming from, but there is a big wide world out here, and (IMO) God can deal with it all. Personally --- I don't think He limits Himself to one ministry over another. :) :) :) David
