  1. THE best of wishes to all here. :)
  2. I'm getting dizzy. I'm getting dozzy. I'm getting dozvy. I'm getting dozey I'm getting dovey. My name is now dmiller (dovemiller) (Ah S%*t!!! -- am I in a cult again???) Where am I going, and why am I in this handbasket? :biglaugh:
  3. I (kinda) agree, Mstar. I grant you the fact that it was THE BIBLE that we were told to follow, But --- we were all inundated with/ by *teachers* (docvic and on down) And I'm a'thinking that they held the higher pre-eminence. Dunno. It's a close call either way. Sometimes (these days) I wonder if we were supposed to follow the bible, or the man that held it (twi), telling us what it said. Am truely glad I do not have to worry about that anymore. :)
  4. Hmmmm. I can see why they don't. Imagine Rosie's face on the cover whenever they publish. :o (Did they really say they are waiting for a prophet??? That's a new one to me.) Curious -- where did that quote come from?? David
  5. (These days), He would have gotten sued for breaking a window! (I liked reading the history/ legend though). Thanks for posting it. :) David MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
  6. Shazzzzz!!!! Don't do it!! You'll lose your name, then your identity, then your MONEY!! (any cult that has a Dove at the head of it, has to be a *bird-brained* outfit!)
  7. Thank you Sudo. :) The same to you and yours, and to all others here as well. (lovely tune -- btw!!) B) David
  8. I thought a little more *black and white* (blast from the past), would help here. :) This is from our good friend Pat R. An exclamation point to those of us out, a constant reminder to those lurking, and an admonition to those still in. Twi is not all it is cracked up to be. :) David
  9. Merry Pigmas to you too!!! Hey Psalmie --- I wuz gonna throw this one at ya, but since you are *under the weather*, (as you can see -- ) I took a slice And decided to keep it for myself!! Uhmmmmmm!!!! :biglaugh:
  10. Satori --- was this the quote you were referring to? I thought so!
  11. Pretty easy question to answer -- Take a *look-see* at past issues of the Way Magazine Cover -- Who is most prominently featured there??? :D :D :D

    It's Finally Time

Sudo -- we had some *down-time* at work today, so I (and Jeff -one of the clients at the house), clicked on this link, as well as the *Santa sez* link. Had a blast with both!! Jeff got the biggest kick out of clicking on the reindeer, and see them *do their thing*! Thanks! :)
  13. While commenting on the value of splinter groups vs. twi, Hope R said:
  14. (((imbus/lilbit))) Will miss you, but you have mountains to climb. Go Thou and Conquer!!! Godspeed, and Good luck. ;) David
  15. Hmmmm. God did not *wood me out*, local leadership did. Who's cleansing power was that? And what was wrong with me (assuming something was)?? I asked too many questions; I made it to meetings when I could, not when mandated to; I didn't think some of the teachings correct; I gave money to folks on the street, charities, and not always twi; That last -- I considered abs; twi did not. fyi --- I left in '87, and went to a coupla twigs in the early 90's to see what was going on (those days). There was a decidedly *cool* atmosphere about me being there, since they remembered me from before. I still asked questions, made it to meetings sporadically, told them what I thought of some of lcm's teachings, and gave money to others other than twi. It became clear pretty quickly, that I was persona non-grata. I didn't toe the Party Line. No -- I won't go back. Even if I wanted to, they wouldn't have me. I won't glorify *man (or ministry)* above God. And they can't handle that. (imo) David
  16. Happy birthday wwjesuslaughat!!! Here's hoping it's a great one. Merry Christmas too! :) David
  17. Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle
  18. Seems everyday I come home, I find 2 or 3 letters saying -- YOU'RE APPROVED!! I just rip them in two, and toss them out. Got caught in that trap once. Never again.
  19. How'd I miss this thread!!!??? Brother Speed -- Hope your birthday was a good one and --- Merry Christmas/ Happy New Year to you and yours! David

    Newbee says hi

Hiya, Free. Welcome to GreaseSpot! David
  21. Well -- he did pay a $784.00 fine, lost driving privilidges in both Mn and Wi for 6 months, and is doing the rehab thing, along with the 6 month suspension from office. (With/or without pay, I don't know yet.) Wisconsin officials said that they were treating him the same as everyone else (for a first time offense), and given my own experience, I tend to believe them -- though mine happened in another state. When I was pulled over (1992, in Indiana) -- I paid a fine, had to do a re-hab thing, but was able to continue driving (since I did deliveries for a living back then). Perhaps I got off easier than he did. He might have been cut some slack (given his job as mayor), but I really don't think much was cut. His punishment is coming from the town via public opinion, more than is coming from the law.
  22. Ahhhh Nice tree Sudo. :) I don't do trees either at my house (though I have in the past), but it's always a treat to set up the one we have at the group home (a fake one - due to state rules and regs). :( Clark sits in his easy chair and *supervises*, and Larry and Jeff do all the ornaments refusing help. I tried once, and put one ornament in *the wrong place*, and heard about it for the next two days!! :D Loren refuses to be a part of the *setting up* ceremony, but --- every morning after it is put up, he motors on in to the living room in his wheel-chair saying -- Plug it in, plug it in!! David
  23. Jonny -- You never write. :( You never call. :( You don't even answer my e-mails anymore. (sniff) :( Does this mean next salmon season I have to ---- Go fishing alone??????????????? Yours, http://mamabear@northpole.com
