Certainly *fruit* is optional -- if the one who should bear it chooses not to. But many produce fruit (wanted or not), and it is by the fruit, that the *parent* is judged. By being told to judge others *by their fruit* (be it off-spring, converts, actions, whatever), the impetus is to look at what the person (or org) has PRODUCED that is beneficial And judge the org (parent) accordingly.

Pig Ankle Rag is a standard bluegrass/ old-tyme fiddle tune. We pick it all the time, when the fiddles and banjos come out of their cases! :)

And to those in twi -- Stop is a command --- Unless you are *spiritually mature* enough to not do so. ;)

dmiller replied to WordWolf's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
Yes --- I do remember that. Matter-of-fact --- I have (not a few) here at the house still. Along with the later compilations -- the book format. -

Having been raised Catholic, I have to agree. Neither twi, nor the catholics got it in it's entirety. To both -- it was nothing more than a symbol. The reality escaped the both of them.

dmiller replied to Mark Sanguinetti's topic in Open
Mark -- I remember some of your input from the *early* days. Hope you have a good time, with folks that don't denigrate but are interested in fellowship (in the spirit of the season). Happy New Year!. David -

Would love to be there Mark, but I have to work that evening too. And it is too far from Minney-soda to New York To make it in time. :( Satori -- too bad you're relegated to e-mail status, eh?? :) -
Speaking of *misquotes* ---- Here is one Sami posted in the "Silly Forum", but makes a point about this topic ~~~~~~~~ Kinda makes ya wanna go hmmmmm, eh?

Hey there Diazbro -- great analogy!!! Not corny at all. First impresssions are usually lasting ones, and by the time 20 or so years pass by, they're kinda clouded too. The good is remembered, the rest forgotten. (Ps - my first car was a VW squareback. Much as I liked it then -- I prefer my newer Subaru! These days.) :D
