Including announcements, Songs, pertinent info on happenings, (then). and biblical teaching Tape numbers start at #746 with docvic teaching on *ACCURACY VS. RELIGION* (circa March 2, 1975) and go up from there. These tapes would look sexy in anyone's tape player, (assuming you still have one), The sleek slim design was designed to fit into all cassete player's, regardless of the twi administration you might currently be in, (or out of). And the same debbil spurits are still there, from the oringinal teaching, when they were recorded, so the original has not been lost. Yer getting the REAL DEAL! I have a few books by Bullinger, including Word Studies on the Holy Spirit and How To Enjoy the Bible. Word Studies is the list of the 385 usages of pneuma hagion, with a short commentary on each verse. Imo -- everything you have ever heard docvic say about the various usages of PH, seem to have come directly from this book by Bullinger. How To Enjoy The Bible has many sections with familiar headings: *No Private Interpretation*; *define words by their biblical uage*; *All scripture .....*; *context of where it is written*; *absent from the body, present with the Lord*; and more. (ps. --- click the link above for an online version.) ;) My RHST book disintigrated many years ago, so I no longer have a copy of that one. I just recently received the J.E. Stiles book in the mail, and am starting to look it over. Pity -- that I don't have the white book (RHST) to compare with the others! (anyone got a spare copy they would like to sell?) :)

I never did go corps. Matter of fact --- I never wanted to. BUT ~~~ I did want to enroll in University of Life. While sitting through a replay of the 79 advanced class (in 1981), run by Bo R****d, here in Minney-soda, in Minneapolis, A *workshop*/*question and answer* time was held about U of L. The over-riding question all in attnedance had was: U of L is meant for those who cannot go corps. What defines *cannot*?? Bo picked me -- as the first person with their hand up, and I asked the question that was on everyone's mind. To make a long story short -- we there at that meeting were made to feel more *spiritual*, since we were considering advancing ourselves. Again -- it was the twi *rank and file* agenda coming into play -- (IE -- you are better because you want to know more) syndrome. No -- we were never told we were better than *rank and file*, but from what I remember --- it was pretty strongly implied. And if we got into U of L, we were expected to be leaders. Well --- I never was a leader, and my reason for not going corps?? I told them I didn't want to. Never had, and never will. :) Guess what -- I was accepted into the U of L program.

Good Gawd ~~~ this is taking me back 30+ years!! :D I usta have an old 66 Volkswagen (beetle), and that was the last year they made them in 6 volt, vs. 12 volt. I wanted a tape player (cassette) in it ---so I installed it myself, but had to go to an electronics store (Radio Shack -- I think), to get the proper *adapter* to convert the 6 volt battery, to 12 volt cassette player. Somehow I got it to work. Gotta have tunes -- don't cha know!!!

Yes and no. I found the disparaging remarks about the poster she has for sale to be a *slam* against her.As I said -- I think folks here missed the boat about the fact that she wants to be rid of it. But (I'll quote you here), YMMV. I find it hard to believe that the simple sale of a poster could generate so much heated debate. But I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. There are a lot of calloused hearts here. There are a lot of festering wounds, just waiting to break open into open boils, and it is evident (to me at least), though it may not be to you. So be it. You're right -- it's an open forum. Folks will say what is on their minds, and I will say you did an admirable job of finding those quotes you provided us with. Personally -- I think she was *lambasted* for thinking of coming here first, with something she wanted to get rid of. But then again -- that is my opinion. You think what you want to. (and as a side note -- you usually have good comments, well thought out, incitefull, and full of reason. Lifted Up ~~~ I agree. A poster was offered for sale on this site, because Watered Garden knew there might be folks here interested in it. That shows thoughtfulness, and consideration before offering it to the world wide community on e-bay. Granted this is an EX way site (Mark), but there are some here who might like to have such an item. Because that poster did not denigrate twi, if was criticized and made fun of --- unlike the tapes offered by Catcup with her commentary about "this is how twi IS!". Remembering one's history is not always a bad thing. Whitedove made an excellent point in his listing of other *way* items for sale. The persons offering them all for sale were never castigated or made fun of. I guess the majority of folks here totally missed the point that the person wanted to get rid of *said item*. I can understand the hate, disgust, and re-occuring nightmares twi might hold for some. but while you harbor that hate, disgust, etc., remember that when someone is selling off a twi item --- they are looking to get rid of it. And (if I judge your premises correctly), you should be in agreement, rather than ridiculing the item (and seller). Everyone here who has posted negative comments have totally missed the boat. :) WG wants to get rid of the thing. And all you have to say is that it is a POS, with no thought for the thought behind the action. Perhaps it's time to think, before you post -- eh?? ;) David

Well --- I wll agree that I am easily impressed. Especially by those folks more musically inclined, than I am. But that is a different story. :) I will agree with you about your definition about *the class*. It was a facade, mockery, etc,. etc., -- but I have something to say here ~~~ My ex was an artist, and did wonderful stuff with fabric. Her work is well known up here. She could crochet, knit, tat lace, embroider, and weave her own fabric on one of three looms she had set up here at the house. Now -- with that being said ~~~ She gave me an appretiation for art that I never held before. After all --- I was just a dumb country bumpkin that could pick, but could never produce something lasting, like (say ~~~ one of her weavings). So yes -- If I see a poster that has (IMO) *Good Artwork*, and reminds me of the *old days*, I wouldn't hesitate to get it. Just like I would not hesitate to buy one of her wall-hanging weavings. She and I are history. Twi and I are history. But the fact remains --- There are parts of my history that are worth remembering. Nothing more, nothing less. :) just my IMO
