Hey there Cool Chef. Perhaps others can explain it better than I, but here is my take on it. Jesus was our Savior, Promised Seed, Passover, the Messiah, King, etc., etc., as taught by twi. There is an old tape called THE RED THREAD where docvic shows how Jesus is the subject of every book of the bible from Genesis to Revelation. Romans 10:9-10 are the verses used for salvation, and docvic is famous for saying "Tell me what you think of Jesus, and I'll tell you how far you'll go in life" (something like that). Twi taught all that, but that is where their relationship with Jesus ended (imo). Once you got born again, it was up to YOU and YOUR believing. Oh sure -- pray to God for deliverance, but ignore Jesus who is sitting at His right hand with the job of interceeding for the saints. The *Law of Believing* ~~~~~ working for saint and sinner alike was an evil, evil, twisted piece of logic. The law of believing put your day to day situations firmly in your hands if you wanted deliverance, forget Jesus sitting at the throne waiting to hear your prayers. Jesus was absent because it was NOW up to you and your believing to *Git R Done*. And the whole ABS fiasco fits right into this scenario as well. Works, works, works --- salvation was by grace, but dang -- if ya didn't work at it -- you wouldn't be worthy of celestial spit as lcm so poignantly pointed out so many years ago. Jesus has no place in twi. They used His name as a jumping off point, but after that you had to look to the MOG or other leadership for direction. They were more tapped into the *things of God* than the Man sitting at the right hand of God Himself. Thus the *Absent Christ*. Twi wants total control, and doesn't want to play *second fiddle* to anyone. (IMO) Like I said -- others can probably explain this better, but perhaps this will suffice for now. :) David

Which one is dmiller? :) I wasn't allowed on stage. :( I got on my soap box, and if you notice, it's now upside down, and I'm on it off in a corner somewhere's. :D -
Not much George. And yes -- we just had the warmest January EVER. The John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon (last week) started with temps in the high 40's, and barely enough snow for the dogs to pull the sleds over. That made for a really fast track for the teams, but then it snowed about 5 inches 2 days into the race, really slowing things down. It's just cold here now. Most of the precip went over Lake Superior, and hit the UP instead of us. Yea - love the reprieve from the really cold weather! And just enough snow (8 or so inches) to make it look purty. :)

Here are the health benefits offered by Walmart from their website ------ This looks good on the face of it, but note that nothing is said about who is eligible, or what the cost may be. And on top of that, a lot of what is offered is superficial -- dealing mostly with catastrophic occurances, and items like *Business Travel Insurance* (which would pertain to a minority of employees). Dental offers a *discount* at the dentist, and Life Insurance is offered only to full time eligible employees. I dunno -- They offer bennies, but to whom, and at what cost? The company I work for offers bennies to full time employees only. 495 folks work for DRCC, perhaps 100 of us are full time. When they list the bennies available, not all share equally.

They were looking to pick a fight. They don't deserve the time of day, much less a day in court. Tell em to keep their legs crossed, and they wouldn't be in this pre*dick*ament! I agree with LG. Mal-Wart is not the ONLY prescription provider. Shucks -- meebe I should go in to the local one, and demand to buy something made in America, instead of China. Wasn't that one of the original precepts of Walmart??? Selling American made products only? I believe this is/was true. If not -- someone here will tell me. :) Wonder if that's grounds for a lawsuit also? Hmmmmmmmmm.

( ..... Or out of it.) ;) Speaking of Mark and Avoyad --- Jews don't recognize Jesus as Messiah. Protestants don't recognize the Pope as the head of the church. And Baptists don't recognize each other in the liquor store.

Miike -- that says a lot (to me). Thanks for the sharing. :)

Ahhh --Ayn Rand. Who can forget *Atlas Shrugged*? And --- Who is John Galt!? :) -
Justloafing -- I had heard (on a tape somewhere) that those two properties would be the first to go, should it become neccesary. Sadly -- I cannot quote you the source, but it was one from back in the mid 1980's. Twi kept that which was advantageous to them, and *burned the chaff*. But then again -- this is an IMO, as an *outsider* to the true dealings, intentions, manipulations, etc., of twi.

Radar -- Mea Culpa. :( I guess I mis-interpreted your initial post. I thought you were asking who was looking for romance and *quality time*, vs. some ole football game. Being a single guy, with no interest in sports (except for the Tour de'France) I felt completely inadequate in answering what I thought your question meant. Now that you have made it known that you are looking for recipes, etc. -- you might get some *quality responses* here. PS ~~~~~ (The only *four-play* here at my house is me picking on the four fiddle strings!)

Given what we now know about Wierwille, this situation makes my skin crawl. I was thinking the same thing, Shaz, :( David
