  3. And then there is *water skipping* snowmobiles. Just one problem with this sport ---- Should it be in the Winter, or Summer Olympics?
  4. Here are some of the rules and regs: Would olympic bar stool slalom and bar stool jumping come next??
  5. How about bar stool racing?? It seems to be popular down in Drummond, Wisconsin Meebe the olympic committee would consider this for future competition.

    TWI's God

Pond (or is it MJ?) There was no link. You must not have posted it. :)
  7. Docvic had it wrong. And since I am the one who posted the link to the CES/STFI article, let me add my perspective, if I may. Jesus Christ (in his dying moments) was trying to tell the assembly there at the cross (the ekklesia????) WHO HE WAS -- one final time. Simple as that. For anyone to say *God forsook Him*, or *For this purpose I was spared*, (imho) flies in the face of who Jesus Christ was, and what He did. He was about others, not Himself. He was always reaching out. He was all about giving vs receiving. He was *other's* focused, not *self* focused. He was friend to the friendless. He was the one who could have condemned, yet refrained. By quoting the first line and the last line of that trilogy, He was making one last attempt to REACH OUT. Reaching out to those in attendance, and saying THINK!! Quoting verses that would make the folks there at the scene THINK ABOUT WHAT WAS HAPPENING, AND WHAT WAS WRITTEN. He had gone through (over) 40 hours of torture from Monday to Wednesday 9 am. He wasn't even recognizable as a human being. He must have looked like a slug crawling to the final site. Yet He had the prescence of mind to do what He had always done --- Preaching the Word one last time, reaching out to others. Whether there was anguish or triumph in that *cry*, neither you nor I know (nor will we), until that day that is coming. It is TOTALLY in keeping with His character to have reached out --- one last time --- thinking of others, rather than Himself.
  8. You should listen to Mark because he is polite, and giving you his perspective. You can always agree, or disagree --- your choice. And ---his answers are not fueled by testosterone or youthful belligerance. I disagree with him more than I agree with him, but he has always been polite, informative, and willing to discuss topics civilly. :) (and btw ---) He does an admirable job of *trotting out* scripture to make his points in his posts, unlike a lot of folks here. So try a more laid back attitude CK. It'll win you friends, and add years to your life! "Learning is an exciting adventure." Hmmmmmm. Wonder who said THAT! Peace.
  9. Good one Bowtwi!!! Here's another ~~~ A 70 year old man goes to the doctor for a checkup. The doctor says -- "you're really, really healthy. You've got a lot of years left. How old was your father when he died??" The old man said, "Dad's not dead, he turned 95 last July." "Amazing!! Well, how old was your grandfather when he died??" "Grandpa's still alive too. He turned 115 last May, and just got married." The doctor was incredulous. "Why on earth would he want to get married at 115??? The old man replied --- "who says he wanted to!?!?"
  10. Seems to me, that docvic (and lcm) taught that ONLY GOD could *create*. Meebe you *started something*, (and that I can go along with). But *create*?? Naw -- Not even by your standards. (just my IMO --- don't cha know)
  11. :) :) :) THANKS! (a-penney-saved ----- yada yada!) ;)

Here here!!!! JIB JAB (ps -- I be half brained too!)
  13. I didn't vote either, nor will I. And I do have a question ~~~ (if I may) ~~~ What does Pope Benedict have to do with *leading* twi??? Ya lost me on that one there. :) Suffice it to say, that there was once something that could have been good, got soured quickly, and never recovered. Look up the word *imploding* in the dictionary, and you'll see a pic of twi right next to it. '93 eh?? My condolences that it took them so long, but glad to hear they got out. :) And there are some here who would say that twi was sour from the beginning, and the more I read those posts, the more I am inclined to agree. Draw your own conclusions from that.
  14. Someone mentioned http://www.dogpile.com in the computer section the other day, and I have gotten to like that search engine better than Google. I *Dogpiled* Rivenbark, and got A LOT! Greasespot Cafe was mentioned first! http://www.dogpile.com/info.dogpl/search/w...ie%2Brivenbark/]
  15. I hear ya Zshot. Fiddle contests have categories too, and I am no longer eligible to compete in the *intermediate* division (ages 26 - 50). The shock (and dismay) must have showed on my face, when they first told me I had to compete as a *senior*. The *up* side of that was, I didn't have to compete against the kids who had nimble fingers, lots of time to practice, no job to work, and parents who could drive them around to festivals all summer long to keep their *chops* up. The *down* side of it is -- I was better than most seniors, and usually ended up in the championship category, which was filled with the best of the kids, the ones I thought I had escaped! I don't remember getting old either.

    Rooster issue

Lots of Roosters at THIS SITE. ;) Good luck!
  17. Interesting. Especially since twi has IOT TOTALLY WRONG, and would demand an *athletic* demonstration of such. Biblical Research and TEACHING??? Not in this lifetime. Twi -- dig a little deeper -- thy grave awaits.
  18. I would have voted for Avarice, Greed, Control, or Dominance, But I didn't see them listed. Or --- did I???? <_< <_< <_<

You must not cook much for others, eh WhiteDove? ;)
  20. Aww -- Ex70's ---- I don't need yer firepower. :) (Got enough of my own, thank you!) I agree, these PETA folks are NUTS! Even though they have opinions (like Sudo pointed out), their arrogance is only outweighed by their ignorance. After all - one doesn't rise to the top of the food chain to eat vegtables!!! B)

    Watch Your Step

Should you travel a lot, this is a handy guide to maintain max speed, and slow down, where ya should. :) BEAR TRAPS Going to Iowa, from Minney-soda, there is one camera (8 miles into Iowa) hanging right over the south bound lane of I-35, pointing directly at you. Speed is 70 miles per in Minney-soda, but only 65 in Iowa. Since 70 mph usually means 75 - 80 mph (plus), yer *toast* if you don't slow down for that camera. :( CB's and radar detectors don't do the job anymore. And there are lotsa intersections (here in Duluth) that have cameras hanging over them. I do know a coupla folks who did the same as you Mstar, and were surprised when they opened their *snail-mail* a day or two later, with pics, laws cited, and demands to pay the fine. Big brother is watching, recording, and ticketing. (Sure wish I could find a pic of that one in Iowa --- It is blatant. Not hidden at all -- hanging high, lens pointed right at your license plate.)
  22. Far from proclaiming Himself *forsaken*, or *being spared*, my humble opinion is that Jesus was saying in His last moments the same thing He had said throughout His entire ministry. IT IS WRITTEN!!
