I remember the first time I went to headquarters for a Sunday service. It was in 1975, and docvic had the podium that evening. I never had to submit to a *security search*. Doc didn't read from a page, either. Did you and your dad have a good time there, CK? (that's what counts). Shucks -- guess they won't ever let me in again. I don't own a suit.

No, it wouldn't (if you follow the docvic line of thought). -

Hey there, Somebody. Welcome to GreaseSpot. :) Your signature line is hilarious (as well as all too true). -
Hmmmm. I remember black and white rainbows. Also remember the Sahara Forest, the Red Puddle, and the Dead Sea was only sick back then. (All that was after I heard God say *Let there be light, and saw Jesus throw the switch.)

Excuse me??? "Play it my way"??? Is this a game to you?? What you are asking is that we put down the bible, and peruse docvic's works instead. You are asking us to *play it YOUR way*, and NOT affording any opposition to the contrary. Now -- you are a dyed-in-the-wool-cult-leader-supporter, and I can appreciate that (fer what it's worth), but when you talk to us, you had BEST be able to accept our viewpoints sans vpw. Docvic spun a good yarn. It was his meal ticket. He spun it good enough to enjoy caviar while his followers were eating tuna fish. You are blowing off what I quoted from docvic about formed, made, and created with so much in-difference. You have an opinion, and you aren't going to back off of it, regardless of what I, or anyone else says. So here's the deal --- No -- I won't *play it your way*. I was willing to start perusing the pfal books, to give you an answer about your questions, but I see now that it would be useless. You have become kinder, and less abrasive in your recent posts, but your thinking stinks. (check your premises --- start by looking in the lower level of any outhouse.) -

Do you still consider yourself a minister? Or Do you still minister?
dmiller replied to ChasUFarley's topic in About The Way
I have to agree with Patriot here. Used to be (when in twi) I thought a *minister* had to be an ordained person. Not so any more. Nowdays, I see it as service to others --- minus the *official* title. :) Ironic, isn't it, that twi locked us (me) into the mentality that being a *minister* was all about their perception of what we could or could not do (for them), rather than others. Not trying to denigrate those who had the title of *Rev* back then, but being a *minister* is so much more than just a title. -
Mstar --- Merle was another one of the great pickers. So sad he passed away at age 36, 20 some years ago. He and Doc were phenomenal together. :( I remember hearing his tractor had rolled over on him, killing him instantly, but today I googled the story, and was dumbfounded, when I saw the actual truth behind the fact. MERLE'S STORY Merlefest is a fitting tribute to the man. :)

Sorry Mike. I don't buy that, and neither should you. Docvic taught that if "The Adversary had known the greatness of Christ in you, the new birth, he would not have crucified the Lord Jesus Christ". According to docvic, this thing was a SECRET. Not known by anyone, never revealed, and not even a hint of what was to come. Again -- I ask -- how can something be counterfeited, before anyone knows it exists?? -

Now --- getting into the *seed* question. I have to confess you lost me with the animals, and Adam naming them (I don't see how that pertains here --- but I'll give it another (closer) read. :) Question ~~~ What did docvic teach about *FORMED, MADE, AND CREATED*?? He taught that God formed the body of man, made the soul of man, and created the spirit in man. (from -- what'cha call it?? the Brown book?? -- The Word's Way (TWW) --- page 56. If God created spirit in man, and man lost that spirit by sinning *in-a-gadda-da-vida* (my aplogies to Iron Butterfly, for dragging them into this), then man had no spirit for communication with God. OT has folks with spirit upon them (as docvic teaches), but that was because mankind had no spirit living within, as in the original Garden of Eden. But you knew all this, right? So --- if man lost his *spirit* connection with God (as in a part of formed , made, and created), and was allowed to have spirit *upon*, yet not *within*, And if the *new birth* (spirit-once-again-restored-as-an-integral-part-of-man), was only available through the sacrifice Jesus did, how can you say that the counterfeit was available, before the original?? (Excuse me for not referring to the RHST book -- I don't have one right now, but WhiteDove is sending me one, so I will be able to quote from it in the future.) :) Now -- one last thing. If you believe that docvic had it right, when he taught that man lost spirit with the original sin -- and thus had it *upon him* (in certain cases) throughout the OT, BUT NOT WITHIN --- Then you HAVE to agree that the adversary couldn't *pre-empt* God. If you think that folks could be *born again of the wrong seed* in the OT, You are effectively tossing out the teaching docvic did about ---- FORMED, MADE, AND CREATED. I'm still looking for that saying docvic had about the advo not coming up with anything new, only copying. While I'm looking for that, why don't cha try and figure out what doc was saying, given these two diverse statements. Cause sure as shooting -- That's about as blatant as contradictions come. :) -

Mike -- think that statement through for a moment. How are you gonna counterfeit a dollar bill, if it hasn't been invented yet?? ;) -

Hmmm. Ok. Given this aspect ~~~~~~ If folks were meant to smoke; Their nostrils would've been upside down (to act as a chimmney); If folks were meant to drive, We'd all of been born with a parking space; If God expected us to vote, He would have given us candidates!

Is there a ministry of *laid-backness? If so, I qualify as high-priest. :) (I've been told that if I moved any slower, I'd be in a coma!) -
