Wait a minute ~~~ The Return, and the Rapture are two different events, no?
-
Mstar -- Yup. I once went to a Jewish service, and when they pulled out the scrolls, and paraded around the building with them, everyone was not only standing, but also continually turning, so as not to take their eyes off of them, thus not *turning their back on YHWH*. The Rabbi sure didn't get that kind of attention!

Hiya Allan! How be ye?? :) Hey -- this here is a thread about twi, their magazine articles, and the redundancy of teaching from the past many decades. I'ts NOT about Mormonism, Jw's, Catholic's, Baptist's, etc., etc., etc. Now I'm not a MOD or anything, but it would be nice to stay on topic here. ;) Since I would appreciate it, I know others would too. (JUST A THOT!!)

Nena -- Many of your questions can be answered if you click HERE. John Lynn is a friend of mine, but many here at GS have had adverse experiences with him. Adverse experiences aside, I think most will agree that he gives a fairly accurate history here. Read what he has to say. It will give you a perspective to start from, if nothing else. :)

Oh -- something I forgot to add ~~~ If twi did teach that a human body could hold both Holy Spirit, and devil spirit at the same time, Why didn't they try to deliver the person, instead of kicking them out on the street with only the clothes on their backs??? What a loving ministry. Their actions speak much louder than the sermons they preach.

Oldies -- JL is right. What twi taught, and what they actually practiced is night and day. It's a fact that many who disagreed were labeled as possessed, and tossed out. Now -- I have a question if I may. :) What did twi teach about spirit possession in a believer?? I'm asking, cause I don't remember. According to docvic and pfal, was it possible for a born again believer to be possessed? Because if they taught that it was impossible for one who was born again to be possessed, and then by declaring believers who dissented as *possessed* ---they went against their own doctrine, and were insinuating that the person was no longer born again, if they really did have the evil spirit that twi claimed they had. I seem to remember that it was taught that Holy Spirit, and a devil spirit couldn't inhabit the same human body at the same time --- but I could be wrong about that.

I just voted for the Live chat. It seems to be most responsive on this end. I use Firefox to get into GSC, and Firefox works best with the live chat. When in Flash chat, I have to switch out of Firefox, and into Safari. For some reason, Flash doesn't work well at all in Firefox -- it's way too *sluggish*. The room was moving quickly last night. Much faster (it seems) than it used to. It was a fun time. :)

Tell Vickles hi from me as well. I met her a couple of years ago at a mini GreaseSpot get-together in Minneapolis. She is a wonderful lady. :) Like Mark, I'll answer what I can, when I can. Good luck on the paper.

The date (at the top of the 1st page) from the Clergy Meeting Notes is, November 22nd, 1986 -- and yes-- that was a Saturday, that year. :)

Which *household*??? That of twi, or God?? And yes -- there is a difference. :) The household of God is spiritual -- above this world. The household of twi is physical --- and of this world. I would rather hear Balaam's foot speak. (For once an foot got it right) --- (I think there is a figure of speech there, somewhere -- )

Hmmm. As ChasUFarley said, "have you asked your folks?" They could probably tell you a lot. Seek their comments FIRST. It would be great to get their perspective, but other input is helpful too. Reason I say this, is because there is a spectrum of us here that span a period of nigh on 40 years, and the it was not the same for some, as it was for others. :) If you narrow it down to a time period ( say, 1990 - 2000), we could help better. If you want me to help, narrow it down to 1975 - 1986. ;) Good Luck, and God Bless. :)

NIKA -- I have some stuff from the '86 era (but not corps notes). I am glad to pay postage (it will be minisucal), but I need an addy to send them to (snail-mail). I have a friend (former co-worker at a printing business) willing to copy everything I have here, but I need the address to send it to. Please PM me, and I will send it out. :)

How could there have been *irregularities* in the editing poll? I was allowed one vote, and I'm guessing others were afforded the same. Were they tabulated in Florida?? (Mea culpa -- if there were in fact *irregularities*, but from my end --- I don't see how they could have happened.) <_<

Kathy -- I know that. I Was Teasing!!! (thus the 3 ) ;)

Well -- I guess the *frozen northland* isn't so frozen after all, with Rotel's to heat it up. Went to a different grocery store today (with some of my new *clients*), and lo and behold --- Rotel's was there. Now I just have to get me some, and give it a try. They were selling 3 cans for $2.50. Is that high, low, or a normal price??

So banjo pickers are *cheap* entertainment, eh??? Grrrrrr!
-
Is it really the big five-o for you today??? Thanks for all your prayers and kind contributions to us here at GSC! :)

No way!!! , was by far the best to ever grace the halls there. PS --- click the pics. I met Shad when he was just a 15 year old *wanna-be* fiddler from Dairyland, Wisconsin. He is now one of the all-time favorite *fiddlers in demand* down in Nashville, Tennessee, and a regular with all sorts of bands on the Grand Old Opry. His younger brother Jesse, is one of tthe hottest mandolin pickers today -- also on the Grand Old Opry stage. Their other (younger) brother Mat, is a left handed fiddler, and making a name for himself playing on the riverboats going up and down the Mississippi River. It humbles me to realize that I knew all of these fine gents, when they were just begining what would be illustrious careers, and that Sir Ben's was a small part of that. :) Dairyland is about 50 miles from here, and their dad, Jarred, made sure they got to a good jam session, so his kids could pick with others. Their are many fine fiddlers in this world. IMO -- Shad is right up there with the best of them.
