  1. Oh --- and may I add --- CES is also known as STFI (these days). STFI --- stands for Spirit (and) Truth Fellowship Intenational. They have a new website --- http://www.stfonline.org , that replaces the old CES one. They are changing, from when I first got involved (early 90's), and I'm not sure I like all they are doing now, (just so ya know!) However -- I find most of the teachings to be solid and good. I liked it better in the *old days*, when stuff was taught that made more sense than now. But that is me, and my imo. :)
  2. For one thing -- *the powers that be*, are held accountable for their actions. I don't know how far *down* the ladder this goes, but suffice it to say, that there has been *reproof* and *correction*, when a mistake has been made, by those in authority -- but others may know more about this than I do.. Here is the STATEMENT OF BELIEFS, Here is their CODE OF CONDUCT, And here is their STATEMENT OF VALUES. Now -- CES teaches that Jesus is the Son, (not God), and that Holy Spirit is both Giver, and gift, and yes -- a few of twi's teachings are *re-vamped*, in light of this. Another web-site that CES has up and operational, is --- BIBLICAL UNITARIAN, that deals solely with the question of the trinity. That's enough for a start. I'll have more to say later. :)
  3. May I make a *claimer/disclaimer* here at the very beginning --- I support CES, receive the CES rag, tapes, etc., -- but I do not go to any of their fellowships, since there are none in my area. I will try to do my best to answer some of your questions, Mo -- but bear in mind -- that I am not THAT closely affiliated. :) With that being said -- most any question you might have (or you as well, Allan), about whatever *doctrine CES* holds and teaches, can be found here --- at TRUTH OR TRADITION, which is run by CES. Now -- I'll go back, look at some of the questions, and try to answer them to the best of MY ability.
  4. Dale -- almost missed that it's your birthday. :( Hope it was a good one for you, and thanks for being a part of GreaseSpot! :)

    Cat farts

The guy putting out this *ad*, wouldn't have a bone to pick with Dr. James Dobson and the Focus on the Family group now, would he?? Ya think?
  6. Ex10 --- shouldn't you have posted this in the Prayer Forum???

    dessert test

I need new glasses!! At first I thought you said *deserts*, and was looking for -- Mohave, Sahara, etc. --- I chose Carrot Cake (before I read the answers!) ;)
  8. Chas --- I could be wrong -- but I think that applies more to CK. Like I say -- I prolly read it wrong.
  9. Ha! Now I am on the spot! (Raf, Ex10 ---Help!) Let me get back to you later, on some of these questions. ;)
  10. Shucks -- I've always thought I was right -- until proven wrong. ;)
  11. Read THE original for yourself -- Amazingrace. :) THE ORIGINAL *THE* IS HERE.

    Moving Day

Ha!! It's a little over a thousand miles to Nashville, Tennessee from here in Minney-soda. How far past that are you?? Lessee -- if I bring the truck (at 15 mpg) on down to help out, (and gasoline at $2.51 per gallon), and since you all are (many miles) further yet -- that would be -- ummmm Oh No!! -- I don't want to even want think about that!! :o
  13. Let --- the --- Darwin-Effect --- WEED --- out --- the --- strange --- ones.
  14. I figured out that (what you figured) was an answer would be found there. I didn't see an answer. Just more of the *same old* --- Making a simple concept complicated. Now -- another question --- If docvic taught something live, and (in the process) somehow managed to contradict what he had written in the pfal series (damn that drambuie any-hoo!!), and you were in the audience, would you shout out your dissaproval of him misquoting himself? After all -- that is the MOG speaking, to whom the *re-issued Word* was entrusted, and from which Jesus will be teaching from at the Return (or was that the Rapture?? I never did get that one straight). Would you tell docvic his writings and the way magazine carried more weight, than his live teachings??? Sure -- he's pushing up daisies, so this is a hypothetical question, but what say ye? :)

    Moving Day

Hmmm. I'm tempted to bring my rocking chair down, and *supervise*.
  16. Awww shucks!!!! This --- spot --- is --- just --- plain --- fun!! ;) (what a *twig* we would all make, eh??)
  17. Mo -- it's been 25 years since I last had the AC. I don't think I still have the notes I took from it. Sowwy! :)
  18. I will say this, before I ignore Allan's comments, though. Allan -- do you know what Catechesis means??? So -- by the very definitiion of the word in the title of this thread --- This thread is for instruction. Instruction is always open for discussion, but the debate (*flaming* really), that you've offered so far -- have hampered, rather than enhanced it. Please desist. I've never hit the *report* button. But if you continue, I will. Mark (with whom I do not agree theologically) started this thread to learn, Mo (with whom I do not agree theologically) is answering in civilized, competent replies. Questions some of us have had about the Mormon faith are being answered. Can you let us do so in peace?? Thanks! :)
  19. Actually -- it is not I that am making this complicated. :) My simple premise is -- if docvic taught something (tape, book, live, whatever), and if you believe that what he said was true, why differentiate between the mode of delivery?? After all -- it's the same guy teaching, the same stuff being taught. And yes -- I did read all your answer, even though I did not quote it here.
  20. The other 17 are these : (No verses mentioned here at all, 'ceptin for python.)
  21. That's right!! Duh me -- there are two pages there, I only typed out one.
  22. Pulled out my AC syllabus, and found the following. Docvic has 14 *spirits* there (hmmmm -- 14=2X7 -- spiritual perfection established???!!!) :o

    Moving Day

Moony -- sorry. That was a lame attempt at parodying the statement docvic makes in pfal. The one where he says *I have a jack, but I'm not gonna help YOU* If I had the time (and money for the high price of the gasoline to get there :o ) It would be my privilidge to help you and Ted get moved in. :)
