PFAL: An Unorthodox Translation

I opened the pfal books many years ago. I found KEYS to understanding the bible --- I think my *analogy* is an apt comparision --- David Brody got the basic melodies right, but his transcription of the tunes (over-all) were not correct. While I can look at the music printed on the page, I don't treat it as *gospel*, even though it is in print. Docvic has some stuff in print -- but it isn't the *gospel* (as you claim), just like David Brody's work is NOT the definitive work on fiddle tunes. :) -
Actually -- I think it has been found. :)

Well -- everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Pond --- I disagree. I happen to like CK, and have NEVER picked on him/her because of age. What is being discussed here, has everything to do with experience, and not just *hearsay*, which is what CK is offering. If ya weren't in the band, don't complain about someone else saying there were sour notes in the music.

Two different administrations -- yes. Same God running both. OT and NT are ONE BOOK -- and regardless of what docvic says -- OT has to mesh with the NT, and we should pay attention to it. :)

I have this book here at my house, and it is supposedly *the bible*, when it comes to fiddle tunes. Sadly -- the author (David Brody) misrepresents many tunes and the notation given, is not correct -- however he DID compile the list, etc. Docvic did the same with pfal. The fiddler's fake book, shows the way to how tunes are played, but it is not the ULTIMATE AUTHORITY --- Kinda like pfal. :) -
Simply this, CK --- You haven't experienced what we have, personally. Does that answer the question?? :)
-
Personally --- I have NO PROBLEM hearing Isaiah quoted, if I Cor. 13 is the topic. (It is --- after all --- ONE BOOK.) :)

NLL -- I've never seen the entire thing myself, but the portions I have seen were sickening. :( Rain-bow Man (lcm) gets revelation to murder in it --- (least-ways, that is MY perception of what was presented.) Believe me -- you haven't missed a thing. If you ever do get to see it -- take a buncha meds with you for depression. AOS will send you over the edge. There is NOTHING redeeming about it AT ALL.

The pope follows *party doctrine*, *Rev* "pistol-packing bus-driver" made a power play, Docvic might have been good seed, but he was choked by the thorns (Mark 4:19), Lcm followed what he was taught -- much like the pope. So -- who's worse? The teacher or the student?? If the student is worse -- then the pope ranks right up there with lcm. If the teacher is worse -- Then docvic ranks right up there with the RCC, and their tradition. And meanwhile -- Rosie is lounging in a pool somewhere,

Your stories of finding the right church for you.

Amazingrace --- Good for you. -
So -- I have a question here. :) If speaking in tongues is a viable entity today (since it was done at the time of Acts/ the apostles/ etc.), but personal prophecy (which also happened in the book of Acts), is not?? Who decides what is, and what is NOT valid, and by what criteria?? Can you justify one, and denigrate the other?? Please give me reasons for doing so. (I'm all ears!) ;)

Garth -- and how are you doing?? Heard about the straight-winds there in Marietta (sp?), Georgia on CNN --- and wondered how you were with all of that.

Chords are chords, and guit-ar is git-ar. :) As long as they learn -- All will be cool. :B) My first guitar was a nylon string Epiphone. I took it from there, and I'll bet they will too. ;)
