This is from a poster on another site, and no -- I did not check out SNOPES.

I don't know if this was in the *instructor's guide* (this is the first I've heard of a *guide*), but I do remember one BC running a class back in the late 70's who told the rest of us *staff* grads that she was told to keep the volume of the tapes low, so people would have to strain to hear what was said. Naturally -- it was assumed that all new students were there because of their interest in the Word ----- Needless to say, the length of the sessions and the lack of volume produced more *sleepers*, than not. No distractions (such as) a loud tape to prevent falling asleep, eh? ;) I always thought the louder the better. But then again -- I never ran a class either. :)

Coming from twi 1 -- I've ALWAYS heard that SIT was evidence (proof) of salvation, but --- NOT a necessary thing, FOR salvation. I've got a buncha tapes here with docvic teaching, and I'm sure he's touched on this subject on them, and I'm NOT going to dig through them all to find quotes -- But (if I recollect correct), he never did say that you had to speak in tongues to be born again. Meebe lcm did -- I don't know. And what does lcm know -- anyway???

Those remind me of the *Here's your sign -- *stupid* jokes. Moving from one house to another, we pulled the U-haul to the front, and commenced loading furniture into it from the house. A couple out walking their dog passed by and said -- "Oh, you all must be moving". I looked at them and said -- "No. We decided to take our furniture out for a drive." (Here's your sign!) I was standing in line at the checkout counter, with a Christmas wreath. Lady behind me said -- "Oh, are you going to hang that on your front door?" I said "No. I'm gonna use it for a toilet seat cover. I got the idea from Martha Stewart!" (Here's your sign!) A couple of months ago I went fishing with a buddy of mine, we pulled his boat into the dock, I lifted up this big 'ol stringer of bass and this idiot on the dock goes, "Hey, y'all catch all them fish?" I said "Nope - Talked 'em into giving up." (Here's your sign.) Last time I had a flat tire, I pulled my truck into one of those side-of-the-road gas stations. The attendant walks out, looks at my truck, looks at me, and I SWEAR he said, "Tire go flat?" I couldn't resist. I said, "Nope. I was driving around and those other three just swelled right up on me." (Here's your sign.) (Yes --- they walk amongst us!) ;)

Not sure what you mean by *wide neck acoustic*. I have one *wide neck acoustic*, but it's a classical guitar with nylon strings. I have a *narrow neck acoustic*, Martin D-35 with steel strings. Classsical guitars have wider necks than *steel-string* acoustic guitars do. And classical guitars use nylon strings. Easier to play, but a much softer sound. I don't think Gibson makes classical guitars -- but I could be wrong about that.
