  1. Uhmmmmm --- no. Twi has chosen to build their *house* on quicksand. *Solid Rock* is not in their vocabulary. No *youngster* here, but given the demise of twi 1 and 2, I don't expect #3 to right the wrongs. No matter how well it is sugar-coated. <_< (Just my IMO).
  2. Happy Birthday Krys!! Have a good GREAT one. :)

    Guitar Talk

Chas -- when I first picked up a guitar back in 1968 or 1969, FEEL LIKE I'M FIXIN TO DIE RAG was the very first song I learned!! This was when I was just a young hippie, morphing into my present day redneck status. (said with tongue in cheek here!) ;) What a blast from the past!! Found an MP3 version HERE for those who have never heard it. Ahhh - the memories. :)
  4. Too cool! My folks never let me decide NUTHIN when I was 5! I took a look at the link you gave. Great looking place. Have fun!
  5. And after the dog gave thanks, and brake heads and chewed his fill, when all was said and done -- they gathered of the remnants -- 12 baskets full.
  6. Chalk another one up for *political correctness*. <_<
  7. I think his *prophecies* are directly related to whatever fast food he ate that day, and caused both nightmares, and gas. Whatever happened to *Thus Sayeth The Lord*???? Now it's --- *If I heard the Lord right about 2006*????? What a BOZO -- he should re-name his show the 666 club.
  8. Lisa -- Just saw this. CONGRATS!

    mel gibson

The legal limit where he was stopped is .08 alcohol level -- same as here in Minney-soda That is comparable to 3 something beers, per hour. In other words -- he wasn't a slobbering drunk, since he tested just slightly higher than that. His comments SHOULD NOT HAVE RECEIVED THE ATTENTION, that was so sadly lacking in the case of the synagogue shootings. Sorry Oeno -- The national media has *weighed in*, and sadly -- are found wanting. True news isn't on their agenda. If it *sells* -- they go for it. If it's *political* -- it's buried. Yes -- and neither Naveed Afzal Haqnor, nor the 6 victims shot received *proper* coverage, since they were never a *somebody*, like Mel. The ONLY thing the two have in common is that they are both news stories. Which one gets the *press* says a hell-uva-lot (to me). :(
  10. Remember refiner? He gave me the link to it. :) And no -- I'm not evil force. ;)
  11. Hispanic News Agency announces the cone of *Raf* (not to be confused with *Wrath*) will reach Florida and the US of A today -- just as it did back in 1969, when Raf first appeared. Happy birthday, hermano. :) This world is a better place, since you arrived. :) ALL HAIL THE! RAF
  12. Roy -- you forgot to mention THOM'S CHAT I'm over there too, but under a different name. I answered one of your posts. You'll figure it out -- but shhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Don't give me away. Either here or there. ;)
  13. Why the *head-butt* against the wall -- eh??

  15. Thanks Belle for that link. :)
  16. One of the other ladies in chat exposed him about 5 days ago with proof, showing undeniably he was not who he claimed to be. He denied it all. We have fun in chat -- we don't use it to expose folks. Chat is there to be silly, serious, hi-how-are-ya, and all that good stuff. We're there for play -- not *dirty work*. And no -- I don't go looking for or hunting trolls. I'm not even positive when the troll hunting season is. Is it meebe somewhere around the 14th of Nisan to Tishri 1? Do I need to get a small game, or a regular hunting license for trolls? Where's Tic when ya need him? ;)

    save on gas

Have you never *drafted* behind a semi out on the open road? Sounds like these guys haven't. The semi opens the way aero-dynamically and you follow in the path of lessened resistance. Like they do with bicycles in the Tour de France, Like they do in Nascar on the race track, Like geese do, when migrating in a *V* pattern. If you have an open box pickup truck -- it only makes sense that the air flow over the cab, hitting the tailgate, causes resistance, causing more gasoline to get *from here to there*. I used to have an open box pickup (topper on it now), but did the long distance travel thing with the tailgate down. At highway speeds -- it made a difference. Savings?? Not significant (gas was cheaper then), but I did get better gas mileage. :)
  20. He's right about fire, he's wrong about sex. And you can quote me on that.
  21. QT -- Shaz nailed it. (Thanks Shaz!) :) I never went corps -- but I did hear docvic talk about it, and his *vision* for it. He basically equated the program to "disciples learning from the master's feet". The time frame here is 1975 and a few years after. I heard him say that several times -- both about the apostles and Jesus, and about Paul -- teaching disciples (teacher to student) in the various towns he travelled through, and how that was what he wanted for the corps. It was all about the student coming to the *master* to soak up (personally) what the *teacher* knew. Now -- my apologies to all ex-corps, if you experienced it different, and this flies in the face of what you all went through. I'm just repeating what I heard docvic say. And like I said --- Shaz is right -- it was all about docvic ---- His knowledge --- His disciples --- at His feet. They happened to have a different *spin* for the corps sales pitch back in the mid 1970's.
