  1. Amen. It's been a while since I've been to your site. Thanks for the link (again). :)
  2. What?? No recap on how many of those students successfully *snacked* during breaks?? Such an important item to budget for -- and no report. Sigh. :( ;)

Well --- fellowship starts at 10:30, so the earlier the better!! Bring your latest copy of the way mag, so you can follow along with the *teaching*. (Remember --- be at least 10 minutes early.) (DUCKINGGGGGG!!)
  4. Shucks --- I spent so many years in 4th grade, I started to consider that my senior year!!
  5. Simon -- yea. We have a team here (minor league) called the *Huskies*, and yes -- their season is over aready. We'll definitely check them out, next year!! (Close to home, and the same *excitement*, without the big bucks, and travel.) ;) !
  6. Ya know --- it's been nice *disagreeing* with ya also. You haven't a clue, as to what I said or meant Sorry to hear that you are so wrapped up in your own ideologies, that you can't see (or listen to) a different perspective., I tried to say I always try to be nice, and ya know what??????\ I'm betting that most of the posters here will agree. (but you don't). I am willing to listen. I am willing to discuss. I toss out opinions for discussion here on the board, I'm willing to listen to rebuttals, (unlike you), and YOU seem to find a problem with that. Fine, So be it. It is YOU that I see as being the (what-do-you-want-to-call-it) IGNORAMOUS!!. Now -- if you don't like that --- too bad. You're earning the title. :( (my IMHO)) Sorry -- I don't usually *backlash* this way -- but you just pi$$ed me off about what I thought was an honest comment I made in one of the earlier posts ... You can either aplogize now, or try to cover your tracks ... <_<
  7. Amazing what some folks can accomplish, without a wooden spoon!!
  8. Well mstar -- we did (and we didn't). Otho (one of *my guys*) from the house I work at, and former resident at the house I used to work at, had an accident. We drove down in my car (more comfortable than the company van), and he was riding shotgun, in the front passenger seat. The seat (tilted the way it was), cut off the circulation in his legs. Duluth to Minneapolis is 150 miles. (plus or minus a few). We got to the Metrodome, and when he got out of the car, his legs were so unsteady (he's 68 years old), he immediatelly fell, right into oncoming traffic. Luckily -- we were in a parking lot, so oncoming traffic was slow. A BIG truck, stopped short inches from him, laying there in the the middle of the *drive-through* in the parking lot. Passer-by folk were quick to help me get him to his feet, and acertain if he was OK, or not. He said he was, but his legs weren't working like they should. Had to walk him (myself and another staff person from the other house), arm in arm (me on one side, and she on the other) for two blocks, to even buy the tickets.. Once at the Dome, we got a wheel chair for him to get to our seating. I think it ws in the 7th inning, (not sure), that the announcer came on over the inter-com, and said --- "EVERYONE RISE, REM0VE YOUR HAT'S, AND LISTEN TO *GOD BLESS AMERICA*. Well --- Otho heard that, he stood up, and tried to take off his hat at the same time -- and was weaving back and forth. I moved as fast as I could to get a row below him to catch him (if) he fell. He looked like he ws going to, but by then, his leg circulation was working (properly). YIKES!!! So -- yes -- we had a good time, but it was a harrowing one also[ (Bullinger). Welcome to my world. :)
  9. Hey there Keith -- how be ye?? Something you said ---- I agree, as long as the material in the book is *original*, and NOT plagiarized from others. Given your particular job -- I'm sure you understand this better than we do. ;) Were I to put together a class (say -- about bluegrass fiddle picking), I would charge for it, though I guess the $1,000 mark is kinda high, given my expertise!! I also have no problem with folks charging for instructiion -- as long as they did the necessary *legwork* that resulted in said class/ instruction/ whatever. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ----- by the way, I was back home in Bloomington a week or so ago, and stopped in where you work to say hi (Sept. 1), but you were off that day, and I was leaving town the next day. You were next scheduled to be at work the 3rd (Sunday), and I couldn't hang around that long. I shoulda stopped in earlier in the week. :(
  10. Kinda , but I've got a question. Wednesday, myself and some of *my guys* from the house I work at, and some from the house I used to work at all went down to Minneapolis to the Metrodome to see the Twins play the A's, in the third game of their series. We were sitting back in *home run territory* (is that what it's called -- way back behind center field seating?), and when the ninth inning rolled around, lot's of folks around us turned their ball caps upside down and put them back on their heads. We (the Twins) were behind 1 to 0 at that point (due to a totally erroneous call at 2nd by the umpire there in a previous inning), and there wasn't much offense at all the entire game. This is the first time I have ever been to a baseball game, the first time I had ever been to the Dome, and it was hard to know where to look, who to watch, what to keep track of, and with the lights in the Dome (when a ball was hit high) -- I couldn't even see the dang thing. So --- like I said --- in the ninth inning I see all these folks in our seating area wearing their caps upside down. Assuming they weren't all drunk at the same time, I figured this must be some sort of *tradition* if the home team was behind. So --- what's up with that? It must symbolize something --eh?? (PS --- it was fun getting out of town for the day, going to a game, having company money to take care of all food and expenses, and getting paid to do so on top of that!!)
  11. Thumb tacks in the bra --- still ROFL about that one!! (AHEM!!! --- would someone like Dolly Parton need *Nine Inch Nails*???)

Ok -- I won't say anything!!! (Ps -- gotta ask though -- who is John Mayer??) Forgive me --- I'm a bluegrass junkie!
  13. Sprawled out -- I try to be nice to everyone I meet here. Tom Strange does the same (given the chance.) Now -- if you were to do the same, you might find the dialouge yer looking for. :) (To my own detriment -- I have found that ignoring ego (mine) -- does wonders on this site!!) Am not saying you're wrong, or someone else is right, I'm just stating a fact. :)

Beer, with Ro-tel, and V-8 juice!! Spice it up!!! (sorry -- jest messing with ya!) Breakfast would be a good time to introduce pork --- as in Ham and Eggs, or Bacon and Eggs. Keep the *pork* in the frying pan, where it belongs. ;) And Bisquick pancakes. :)
  15. Arggghh!!!! The link won't work!! (And doesn't even show up!!) Hopefully THIS ONE will, to give you an idea of stained glass here in Duluth. ;)
  16. Ya know --- I bet you are. And I'm also betting that you are welcome wherever you show up --- (and I'm not a *betting man)!! There's something about stained glass that seems to trancend *religious* boundaries. Meebe folks talking about the beauty, instead of arguing about it. Kinda like the *visual* folks see ---- Music being the *audio* they hear ------ Sensory stimulation . Good vibes to be had ---all around by all. Here is a pic of one of the stained glass (Tiffany) windows in the Pilgrim Congregational Church, about 8 blocks from my house. (If I recollect correct -- there are 7 or 8 of these windows, adorning the sanctuary) http://www.dovecards.com' target="_blank"> (((COUGH!!!!))) Back to topic. ;)
  17. Yup you did. Maybe BOTH of them are reincarnated!
  18. Hmmm -- I'd maybe go and listen, but only if you put in some stained glass windows in their *church*. (I'll need something to look at while ignoring them) How well do you do Tiffany style glass? ;)

  21. Wayyyull, (scratching my head here) - in my own (crazy) way I was responding. I wanted to know who cared. Because I don’t, but obviously many here do, or at least make themselves cognizant of the locations of the many splinters that came from the implosion of the trunk that used to be the way tree. Before I sound too callous to folks by saying “I don’t care”, let me further add that I (now) believe that all should be able to pursue whatever path lays in front of that particular individual. And because of that – I don’t care how many folks are following offshoots, or not (as the case may be). I’ll use CES/STFI as an example, since I like them, have been around them back from the days when they offered info only and way before they morphed into the full fledged church that they now are. I remember the 1986 meeting (or was it in 1987?) in Chicago when CES wasn’t even CES, but all the key players were there. Big meeting room in a hotel somewhere there, with “unstrung folding chairs” set up. Couldn’t tell you how many were there, but there were a LOT OF FOLKS. They didn’t even have song books, nor did anyone want to sing. Everyone had questions and wanted to get out frustrations they had about twi. I know I did. Many went there expecting, (yet hoping there was no) *fellowship* as we had known it back at twi headquarters in NK, or as we used to know it in the branches and the twigs. Long story short --- CES grew from meetings like that to an info only operation, then had fellowships (as folks from around the country felt “led” to start them in their homes), to an “Ambassador” program (I forget what they called it), to “Retreats” and “seminars”, and now they ordain clergy. Not sure I like all the changes (these days), but that is a thumbnail sketch of them. Where they once were, and where they are today. If any of the offshoots are “flourishing”, apparently they are. They have many affiliated fellowships in Europe, Africa, and the Philippines. And (from what I know) – the folks that run the *local* fellowships do just that. THEY run them – the folks in Indianapolis Indiana don’t. ;) Now – I told ya that, I’ll tell ya this --- I've been to exactly TWO CES meetings, and one was the one in the mid-1980’s (before they had their name, and the other was one in 2004. I don’t run one at my house, there is none in my area, and though there are plenty back in Indiana in my home town – I prefer to visit Mom and Dad instead when I am in the area, and have yet to “avail myself of the fellowship” there, with the exception of that one time in 2004. I support CES/STFI with a small cash donation (nowhere near a tithe) monthly, because I believe in what they are doing. I’ve given away more money to folks on the street looking for handouts, than I have to CES. I like what CES/STFI offer on their websites, but I couldn’t care less about the numbers “following” them. So once again – I say: “Who cares???” I don’t. Never did, and never will. And by the way -- sprawled out – thanks for the “crazy” suggestion you gave to Mstar and I. Made me think a bit deeper about what I meant when I posted that, and I appreciate it that you gave me the chance to do so.
