    Guitar Talk

One of the things that impresses me about classical guitarist's is the lack of *position dots* on the fingerboard. On fiddle -- I have none (obviously), but I really DO rely on the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th, and 15th fret dots on the fingerboard of the guitar, mandolin, and banjo. It always blows me away -- that someone can play that well, that clean, and have no*dots* on the fingerboard to relate to. Kudos to classical!!
  2. I think we have our own Imp Ala, right here at GSCafe. ;)

     WOOF!!! That's some SERIOUS picking!!!
  4. I only mentioned Mike because of the hard work WordWolf has done in the past on the pfal threads. I was merely wondering how this was comparable -- as in easier or harder to do. ;) (edited for spelling --- grrrrrrr!)
  5. Seth -- they may have incorporated in 1955, but my 40th anniversary commemorative plate gives the years 1942 to 1982. That's what I was going off of. :)
  6. Johniam -- this is for you --- THE NATIONAL ANTHEM
  7. Easier or harder -- than addressing one of Mike's threads??? ;)
  8.
  9. I'm willing to bet that if Clapton, or Mayer were putting on a concert there, you'd know where it was in a heartbeat!!
  10. Like that Kit??? Click the pic -- and it will get you to the site. (and no -- I am not Greasy Tech). ;)
  11. Warren -- yes I agree -- twi is pretty much dead, and should've been buried. But sadly -- they still are influencing and coercing LIVING human beings, and bending them to their *mind-set*, and errroneous teaching. When twi has to *sell the farm* to pay for legal lawsuits, and own up to the can of worms they continue to propound, and close shop cause no one is listening anymore, then I'll shut up. :) God bless -- have a nice day. :)
  12. Text!! We need text. Give us something to work with here. :)
  13. Bliss -- this will be the 64th anniversary. The line from the Beatles comes to mind ----- Will you still need me, Will you still feed me, When I'm 64. <_<
  14. Ala --- count your blessing's. Now you and Hubby can *sneak off to another concert* while the kids are pre-occupied!!!
  15. Me (in my ignorance), I wasn't sure what a Vegan was (exactly). Here's a definition I found -- and I suspect it to be correct, but am not *sure*. OK -- that being quoted -- There are a few things I would like to know --- (DISCLAIMER --(right off the bat) --- Vegan XTC -- this is NOT an attack against you, or your beliefs. I'm NOT trying to *put you on the spot*, And this is NOT a thread to *BASH* those who think/eat differently. Now -- my question is -- what do you eat?? Honestly -- what do you have for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, etc.??? And what do you wear, for clothing?? I am most curious about your diet --- but clothing enters into the factor here too --- Color me *Curious*. Sorry if I'm asking too many questions -- but this is an improbable lifestyle (for me). I can't imagine it being carried out in our day and time. Perhaps you can say differrent??
  16. Too cool --- Greasy Tech!! Thanks. ;)

    Sudo

Sudo begging a patient: Could you help me out here? I would REALLY appreciate it if you could give out a few of your loudest, and some of your most painful screams. Would you do that for me?? Patient: Why Dr.Sudo? It isn't all that bad this time. Sudo to patient: There are sooo many people in the waiting room right now, and I don't want to miss the Ole Miss football game! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

    Vegetarian Dog

Someone (please) -- define *kosher* (as the *early Jewish folks* did). Granted -- it isn't what we have today -- but was it wrong??? Waiting for a response ----->>>
  21. Mstar -- reminds me of the old joke ---- 65 year old man goes to the doc for a check-up. Doc checks him out, and says *You are in remarkably good health. How old was your dad when he died??* The man says -- *Oh -- Dad's still alive. He turned 90 about a month ago*. The Doc said *That's AMAZING!! How old was your Grandfather when he died??* The man says -- *Oh -- Grandad is still alive, and turned 110 four months ago. And he just got married this past month!* The Doc scratched his head and asked the obvious question --- *WHY would your Grand-dad want to get married at age 110??? The man replied to the Doc -- *Who said he WANTED to!!*??
